What brought me here?... I was watching all the videos of Metallica's The making of Death Magnetic, I think i saw Rick Rubin once in one of the videos, that's it... And i agree with Corey, if you gonna produce something, you gotta be there.. and in DM, it was just the Engineer/mixer, that's it!!!...
Carlos Medina yeah same! But to be fair for death magnetic he was important in helping them find the direction they wanted to go in. Sounds like he did shit all on this album though.
Yeah Rubin is basically just a name lol doesnt really do anything and has been this way since he gained his good reputation. Some bands like that though, such as SOAD.
