I love this show and can't wait for the following week's show, but - I noted on this edition there was a clip of Primos trigger stick ... err sticking when trying to extend the legs. This then cut to a different shot. So why do the legs stick? I purchased a set of tripod trigger sticks a few years ago from Bush Wear. First trip out they were excellent. The weather was awful and when I got home I put them in the garage without a thought. I went stalking a couple of weeks later and the legs had seized solid. A call to Bush Wear and they offered to send a replacement set, although explained that they are not built for use in rain as the wires rust and jam. Comeon Primos - not built to use in the rain? but you happily export them to the UK? Long story short, returned them and bought viperflex quad pod from Hammond Sporting. Brilliant bit of kit . Why did you not show the issue with the trigger sticks and save a lot of people a lot of money ?
I asked Paul about this. He agrees: if you use the Primos Trigger Sticks a lot, they stick so, he says, "you have to be very kind to them or they break. You also have to keep them clean - or only use them at weekends!" He likes them for muntjac and close shooting because they have a top that can pivot 360. / Charlie
Never had a problem with the gen 3 ones, used for 7 months now usually 3-4 times a week through heavy snow, rain and strong sun. Be it rabbits, Fox's or deer I'm after. Even left them in the truck piss wet through for a couple of days and they were fine when I pulled them out
Excellent show again ,Paul your new call worked well it brought two springers straight in
Great Show as Usual Thank you
Another good show; Childerley never disappoints.
