- "Alias Grace" follows Grace Marks (Sarah Gadon), a poor, young Irish immigrant and domestic servant in Upper Canada who, along with stable hand James McDermott, was convicted of the brutal murders of their employer, Thomas Kinnear, and his housekeeper, Nancy Montgomery, in 1843. James was hanged while Grace was sentenced to life imprisonment. Grace became one of the most enigmatic and notorious women of 1840s Canada for her supposed role in the sensational double murder, and was eventually exonerated after 30 years in jail. Her conviction was controversial, and sparked much debate about whether Grace was actually involved in the murder, or merely an unwitting accessory.

Sarah Gadon showed a delicate yet very powerful performance in Alias Grace. The hypnotic scene gave me chills, definitely deserves Emmy nominations. I'd love to see her in many other great films and TV series. Alias Grace is by far the best show of this year for me. Must-see!
firstly, sarah gadon is an AMAZING actress, her accent and tone as Grace were impecable. Watching the interviews now though, im admiring her even more because she's so well spoken and the complexity with which she explains these flightly and unnameable ideas is beyond comparison
She and Josephine Langford look soooo alike
Alias Grace was terrific... I prefer to imagine her accent in the show is real :D..her voice was captivating
Sarah is just so sweet and likeable... not to mention uber talented. As much as I loved that Alias Grace was a stand alone season, I'm sad there are no more episodes to look forward to. I just adored her as Grace.
Am i the only one who didn’t care if Grace was guilty or not? I just wanted this incredible gorgeous creature be free and happy. I have fallen in love with her character from the very first seconds and this has kind of ruined the mystery part of the show for me. I just didn’t care that much
Aset Bilibaev but isn’t that exactly what she was trying to do. Have you not care whether she was guilty or not but instead fall for her character.
That's how psycopaths get away with things, they be manopulative af.
You’ve fallen into her game then 😂
Her goal was to entertain the Sultan, and she succeeded. This applies to all of us. I'd still like to know whether she was guilty or not, though.
Her performance was incredible. I hope to see more of Sarah Gadon in the future and I'll make sure to check out her previous work.
I’ve seen Alias Grace 3 times. Ms. Gadon’s thoughts about the opening sequence are interesting. Rarely do we see a woman reflecting on what others have said about her in this way. The writers were wise not to reveal whether Grace was guilty or innocent. Not knowing made the series riveting.
Ms. Gadon’s thorough preparation paid off. Her performance was astounding. She didn’t win an emmy. I think that she doesn’t need one. Her performance stands on its own.
Ok, I seriously thought she was actually Irish until I watched this interview....she had me fooled! Wow...spot on Irish accent from an American who lived in Ireland. I adopted part of it.
She is so pretty her beauty indescribable!
This interviewer says its a blank expression. Did he watch what she did? He should have watched her face. She told the story in different looks. So well done.
Jack Spraker to be fair, He described it as mostly blank while Sarah added that it was very subtle
Grace made my head boiling. There was so many versions of what happend and who she is
Alias Grace is unforgettable novel to me. This great adaptation became unforgettable as well. I just admire Sarah's performance.
This show is UNDERRATED!!!
I LOVED this series, Sarah was incredible and i completely didnt recognise that i watched her before in Belle whom i also loved her character in. Zachary Levi was fantastic!
I loved this mini series so much. It was intriguing and the actors really brought their A game. I had seen A Dangerous Method a while ago, but I never noticed that Sarah was in it.
I love this channel because it makes you discover great actors, directors and artists in general. I love the interviews, especially when led by Ricky.
Amazing series and an amazing actress!
He keeps saying her face is blank in the opening sequence but it is not. It’s just subtle.

Her performance was great in the series. Great actress!
God this was amazing.
I first knew who Sarah Gadon was because she was in Total Drama. Now I know her for so much more. Thank you, internet.

She is such an underrated actress. Btw I've never seen people have such a beautiful skin.
Omg I thought she was Irish! Her accent in the series was good!
Me encantaria una segunda temporada:(
She is too beautiful this is art
A great series. Sarah Gadon is a smart actor.
Mesmerizing performance
Why do most actors/actresses look so much better in their shows or movies?
I wish she was interviewed by the lady who did the hamilton cast. This guy seem to not be a fan of Sarah or the show.
Really, she is Jinx from Arcane!
Luminous beauty - the kind that melts into you and grows
사라 가돈 뱀파이어 vs 브롱크스에서 처음 알게 됐는데 정말 아름답다 사라 가돈 때문에 이 드라마도 봐야겠다
End was disappointed y she didn't Mary with dr.jerad :((
Ikrrr
Who the news the girl that voiced beth is a beautiful woman
so you're talking with your friends about problems with the skids the other day, about how they're bashing mailboxes and causin' other sorts of mischief, oh, bother...
Bonus Comment: STRT!!!
The movie was exceptional and so was the actress.
I have read an old medical book written for Dr.' s by a Dr. The medical book is a bit more than a 100 years old and it claims that women's don't have a soul. Yes, you are reading it the right way, women have no soul. There was also a trent to put women into the insane asylum when men wanted to get rid of their wifes. Women did not have a voice at that time. The movie was fantastic except the part that caught me by surprise where the villain holding up a cut off leg. I did close my eyes when the maide was choked to death and I waited till I knew that she was dead and then when I opened my eyes carefully I saw the villain hold up the maids cut up leg.To me that was unexceptable and unnecessary. It did not fit in with the rest of the movie. That was so unnecessary to give that nasty visual. There was no warning. I know that it satisfied the bloodthirsty masses but there are also sensitive people like me that do not want to be force fed visuals like that. It was cheap, unnecessary and shameless. Now I have that image burned into my brain and I hate it.
😍
UGH that interviewer dude is so annoying..."Shes an incredible director..fa fa fa " grrrr...anyhow...Sarah is FABULOUS..wow..What a great actress..Her Irish accent was perfect...such a great series...cant wait to see her in other productions.."fa fa fa fa"
