that is what i don't like about DoorDash are the hidden tips. I have been in cases where I thought the person tipped me twice now and they didn't. Uber Eats just tells you the whole amount of what you'll be getting- nothing hidden. It's nice cuz uber eats customers can tip you more after delivery.
Do it on a Monday or Tuesday 2pm-5pm
I've been meaning to set a day aside to truly test this method. Maybe Thursday or next Tuesday I'll try it out. The last time I was on Doordash for a few hours I did notice a huge drop off in orders after the $20 mark. So much so that I actually scheduled myself a little restroom break and didn't hear a peep from my phone. Everything UDM pointed out made sense and I could easily get behind the idea of doordash paying drivers that way. Best way for everyone to make money PLUS keeping drivers "happy".
Yes I think you should totally try it! It's a game changer with the way I will be looking at orders.
I believe to be true to the test (method) you were supposed to take every order for the first hour and that would give you an more accurate estimate of what you can expect per hour. Also the estimated hourly rate will change based on the day of the week and order volume etc in your market. I may be wrong however. So glad you tried it out for yourself sis, good job.
Agree...can't cherry pick to truly test this
I will accept everything next time! 🤞
@@SaraElizabethYT accepting all will blow your mind MORE . I tested it last week, door dash links the amount they OFFER you within the hour. They fit together like a puzzle piece when you know what your markets hourly minimum is. The only outsider are the LARGE Orders from that program. They seem to be separate and not count in the hourly minimum. During the hours I don't get a large/catering order it is VERY predictable what the next offer will be (if you do the math). Grateful to be on the large order program cause that kinda blows the hourly average out of the water for me, in my market.
There is no "method", that's a falsehood. There is ONLY good orders (paying at least 2.00 per mile AND is more than a gallon of gas) and there is everything else. Take the good orders, decline all else and let the chips fall where they may. Personally I would never even use Door Dash to begin with but it might be worth it in specific areas. In any event don't use DD by itself, there are plenty of other apps to use. No matter what app you are using, never forget that orders without a tip involve working for people that do not value your time and can be very difficult to deal with, it's never a good idea to do business with these people.
Truth. I’ve tried them all. The only thing that works for me is cherry picking orders worth my time
Shut up...why are you here then. Bye
If you're only picking 2 dollars a mile your gonna be siting around alot, but like you said you don't use DD. Accept orders for at least a dollar a mile, mind the miles and if it takes you out of your zone. Those are the only iron clad rules everything else is preference. I clear 20 dollars a hr regularly on dinner shifts.
@@84unisol I only use Uber and Uber Eats, and usually only do it on the weekends at night. I choose Uber because there is money to be made on the back end with their promotions. If I'm going to do a ride or delivery, I may as well do it on a platform that's paying a bonus. Anyway I just cannot bring myself to waste time, gas and energy delivering food to people for 2, 3 or 4 dollars. Even if it's slow, i'd rather just sit and continue to watch you tube knowing that I'm NOT out busting my ass going up stairs and struggling to figure out which is the correct apartment to deliver food to someone who's likely to give me a bad rating or make a complaint because their food has been sitting a while and now is cold. That's just not for me.
@@84unisol for me, it has to be at least a $1.50 a mile. A dollar a mile is not enough. I couldn't imagine making $7 driving 6 miles or $8 for 8 miles. That's not worth it to me
Thanks for trying my experiment Sara 😁
Here’s my explanation…
DoorDash knows how long you would be on your dash so the system fed you orders to total out $20+ per hour for the time slot you chose to work…
Is this method for DD only? Have you try it with Uber Eats?
100% correct. It’s all programmed so that everyone receives roughly the same. When it’s quiet or too many drivers, the amount will be less and when it’s busy that amount will be more. The only way your going to earn more is to multi app and hustle like a demon 😈 keeping your customer rating high is also crucial
Yes, I notice this a couple of months ago. I would not reach the $25 dlls and suddenly big orders back to back, then nothing for a couple of minutes. I must say sometimes I make $50 hr here in Southern California but then gets silent for a while. What I do is pause it and work on UE or GH, then back at DD. I am
Usually at $100 by 3 pm starting at 11 am any day if the week.
Working as of right now $31 dlls/ hr in less than an hour. Try it people! 🙏👏👍
Sorry for the play by play but just wanted to mention I reached $31 dlls in less than 1 hr and it threw me an order pick up by 11: 27, it’s 11: 10 and the restaurant doesn’t even have it in its system yet, so in short, yes! The algorithm throws you offers based on the day of the week/hourly rate in your city. It is confirmed! 👍 in my case, since I reach that threshold it is sending me nonsensical offers to keep me driving but not necessarily working 😂
2:49 - this is where UDM Technique would have come into play. If you took that $3.50 going 1.7 miles it would have brought you closer to that hourly rate potentially. That algorithm is definitely rewarding drivers when they pick up the low / no tip orders by giving you a better offer on the next round. I'd still stick with at least $1/mile for those than $5-5.50 offers to see his technique working.
But I think you see it working with those McDonald's orders.
I’d like to see you test UDM’s method again at least one more time. Maybe Monday-Friday and not a Sat or Sun. Thanks
DoorDash tells you exactly how to make their estimated salary. First, the estimate is based on Base Pay plus tips plus peak pay and various promos. Second, it is also based on the day, time and market you choose to work in. It’s not a standard amount you make by just turning on the app. To make their estimated dollar per hour average you need to dash during peak order times. That is not to say there are not anomalies. DD cannot predict number of orders at any given moment but by the end of the week before they deposit your money (if you have followed their peak dash time guidelines) you should average their suggested pay per hour in your market.
@@dashingjac
It's all woowoo.
There is no secret to the algorithm.
For many of the reasons you list - it all based upon customer demand.
Tony has consistently said you can make $23/hr.
But for how many hours? Hmm?
;)
Wow, $5.50 for peak pay? I’ve never seen that much for PP.
I would like to see you try it again...possibly accepting every order (unless miles are ridiculous) for one of the 2 hours.
depending on what state your in and how many other Dashers are logged in has alot to do with how many profitable orders you'll receive.
7:06 what in the holy mother of God is that? $5.50 peak pay? The highest peak pay I've ever seen was $3 and that's after midnight when all the restaurants close 😂. You got it good
First time I ever seen this! 🔥
@@SaraElizabethYT I wish I had $5.50 peak pay. I would dash all day haha. Most days I don't have peak pay. I dash in Virginia
Interesting!! I've watched his videos. I will try his method tomorrow!! It's been so slow in Orlando and I was cherry picking a lot and felt wasting of time.
Please try this method few more times!
I appreciate you always share good stuff like Solo!!🙏
Awesome, I will be testing this out again really soon.
i have question. aren’t you afraid to decline orders? what if you fall below that threshold?
3.50 is a 1.25 tip and really as long as food is ready its a quick money grant it, its low for sure but you gott do what ya gotta do
Great Video & awesome content
Thank you for confirming!!!
I have been trying themethod myself.
I do believe We are negotiating with the valgorithm for orders i have been averaging $21hr
UDM & NNuggs are definitely is on to something
Thank you
For the valuable testing
Your a awesome content creator !!
Thanks that's means so much!
Thanks for content
If someone orders $20 of food off a menu, how much does doordash mark that up?
I just started and I add what I made it averages around $25 . I indeed believe what he said is true.
I love your content thanks for making great videos keep up the good work
Thanks 😄
Doordash has to have an algorithm that makes you money but not too much money that you will stop and go home.
Facts!
Just how did you break the algorithm by just sitting there? What do you do otherwise jumping Jacks?
Omg try this again lol and the clown pic lol was funny
🤣🤣 thanks!
Hey Sara loved the video because it was a lecture on what you tested. Me myself though I still don't trust my pay coming from one app. Been running now for a year and some months now and my best runs are always in texas using (Favor) at 8 a.m. and running promos from 10 to 2 Mon. thru Fri. Which is Guaranteeing a 45.00 payout by completing 4 deliveries no matter what. I'm talking simple deliveries from a gas station to the grocery store curbside pickup and deliveries. The pick up and delivery, customers pay usually 12.00 to 25.00 per order with a add on of 2.00 from Favor. When I make the deliveries I will cut on UE and pick up a restaurant order sometimes not all the time but more than none. If not I'll just head back to H.E.B. and wait. When I'm focused I'll make a 100.00 plus by using the Favor and UE a day combined. This is running from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to me its just getting to know your area. Regular customers etc. Also I run GH but I turn down more than accept from them because ther request are just embarrassing to take. 12.00 for 12mls lol. Still great video. Dude probably looses though with gas replacement. ⛽️
Thank yOu for doing this
Some people tip after you complete the order. I’m going on every order I also think it depends on the area States, cities, towns and districts.
Don’t forget he said that wait time factors into it so if you have to wait longer than the pick up time it can mess with the whole thing.
Yea? I waited long for the first order! So that pushed everything back?
@@SaraElizabethYT I mean I’m definitely not a pro so I haven’t tested it or anything but I have watched all of his videos thoroughly and I believe that it does factor into it and he did say that it works as long as everything‘s like on time. But I remember when he was doing Pedro‘s video and dissecting it, I could’ve sworn he said something about it starting at the time you excepted or received your first order. I got to go back and look though. I definitely am skeptical
@@GigMom I am skeptical too! Just can't bring myself to accept the low ball offers..
@@SaraElizabethYT Nice catch gig mom i forgot she waited like 10 mins, you have to take the small orders that are for +1 a mile and avoid waiting long the algo can't account for wait time allegedly
My best week was $988 in 55 hours with a doordash bot. The extra 10% cashback with dasherdirect and the use of get upside to get 25-30/c a gallon cash back, I got that $12 back from the gas so I made 1k+
Awesome video sis ❤️❤️👍
Thanks Van!
Seems like if you work the entire shift you schedule it averages 20 to 30
I'd like to see it for a longer period of time, 2 hrs is sorta short to see if it's true. 🤙🏻
One block of 2 hours is way too small of a sample size to say the method is successful. You got lucky with extraordinarily high peak pay.
He also said to schedule shorter Dashes. Go watch his video if you're missing details. I will be testing this again soon..
Wouldn't the $5.50 peak pay sort of skew the numbers?
Idk, that's the only way to get me to $20 an hour. I've never seen that before but also no other orders were coming in so I think they were making up for that.
It would but it would still be in line with UDM's method. For example one $12 order from McDonald's minus the $5.50 peak pay would have still given her $6.50. And the mileage was around 2 miles. Still good dollars to mile ratio.
So remove the peak pay for the last 3 orders going the miles she was going. She would have been able to get $18.50. If she grabbed that $3.50 it would have been $22 +/- going past that hour by a few minutes or so.
That doesn't work in rural areas, only larger cities. If I turned down all $3/4 orders I would make zero to 26 a day (8 hours) .
I make around $ 100 every morning from 730 to 1130 ! I have learned if you take at least 1 small order than DD will give you the larger 12-15 dollar orders ! The Algorithm is programmed to “ Reward” those who help move batches ! That’s the Trick ! Greedy Dashers in the past are cherry picking and DDs algorithms are stopping this practice ! I don’t like the No Tip orders and sux to select them but DD knows some customers do this as a Norm and I think created the Algorithm to adjust for these customers who practice the No Tip and now they are being penalized by DD in the form of higher chargers ! DD is our partner and are also a business, but they “ NEED” great Dashers to be successful and No Tippers Hurt DD also , not just dashers !! Completing dash hour requests fully !!
YEAH YOU BEST BE SPACIFIC ABOUT THOSE GOODS
No one talks about hot if your rating is above 9.5 or whatever and if your acceptance rate is above 70 then you can dash anytime you want. All day everyday. I haven’t scheduled all month.
Hey Lady , a very rewarding outcome . I was afraid that you were going to lose the offer due to time running out . At times as such , I don't question the income , I grab and say , " thank ya ' , I'm upbeat about the fact that you had nothing to complain about . Like the song says , " It's a whole new world " ! Enjoy your evening and see you when....
Hey thanks Steve 😊 I'm very happy it went smoothly!
Basically the algorithm spreads it out as evenly as possible. I know my average can be 15 to 18 in my small town when I go to the bigger city it's 20 to 25 or so. I think they cover themselves because it's guaranteed to equal this, but if you only make say 15 in a $20 zone because you refused 2 $2.50 orders.
It's pretty consistent you can make more if they're short dashers, or extra busy. IMO.
The other day I did the same thing and made over 60$ ...and I worked 2.5 hrs but I'm in Chicago.
Nice!
i got a lot of hidden tip orders yesterday this was one of them. got an order from pizza hut, said 1 item but for some reason pizza hut always says 1 item on the app but ends up being a bunch but this one was 9 pizza's. anyhow the pizza hut order did say 7.75+ for 1.7 miles so i took it, after i confirmed delivery it ended up being 14.90 so it was a win. 14.90 for 1.7 miles i will take all day long lol i was clearing 22.47 an hour for 4 hours yesterday i only work 4 hours a day normally. i have days where i have to decline a lot and then there are days where i get orders i get good orders and i dont need to decline none.
i hate seeing the no tip orders pop up but if its 3.50 or 4 for a mile or less ill take it because really its better than taking a $5 for 2 miles right?
Best way in my honest opinion. This is the only thing I don't agree with udm on is multiapp stack amd take the hest of whats available then theres no 'cap' outside of whats available off all apps. Oherwose how he works is a lot of how i do this.
I'm convinced on the findings!
When you decline, what do you check off as your decline reason? Is there a certain one for all declines or do you check different reasons?
I push a random reason
Omg these days can’t say anything ppl 😅I love it im trying to learn here thanks
Also love the new shirt , im glad you actually did it, i will so buy it in the coming 2 weeks lol
We're you DMing me about this design?
@@SaraElizabethYT lol i stated in a comment on a video that you should def have that saying on the shirt and do a #delivery or something along that line lmao , it just makes sense to put it on one of your shirts since you say it all the time lmao
Ok it was you.. so I want to send you one since you helped me with the words.
@@SaraElizabethYT Awww thank you so much, we can do a meet up since we are close by each other anytime you want to love.. I love the shirt alot, great job
Do you have Instagram? Mine is linked in description
Thank you.
Was there anything you took that you would have normally rejected? Would definitely like to see you play this out some more. I remain skeptical.
I wouldn't have taken the $7.50 because of the miles and it turned into a round trip 😬
What you are % acceptation rate you have in door dash
I tried it today as well and that shit worked.
Another cool video.
Thank you!
I have found no tip orders to be very favorable for me, I almost always get nice cash tips. It all depends on the mileage for me.
I would have made 40 tonight in 2 hrs but I always deny any alcohol orders because of sketch customers or the app glitches every time I scan someones i.d. even though my app is up to date. 🤔 Have u had issues with scanning i.d.'s as well?
I would like to recommend you drive to the Mcdonalds thats on Causeway by the walmart on the days you want to drive and times, that is a great location to get alot of orders. I drove out there one day and worked like 5 hours and made 100 easily, yeah its gonna be crazy with the slam of orders but its so worth it in the end..
That area usually keeps me really busy, idk why I don't go there much anymore. I'll have to try it out again!
Brandon center has always been a solid area to work. Haven't worked down there in a long time though because of the traffic. Lol
They McDonalds is a money maker for sure low miles good pay
Do you need to drive around for solo to pay you? I read that online
You have to accept at least 1 order in the hour.
@@SaraElizabethYT ok do u have to have a schedule on GrubHub or you can just go available and solo will still pay u if u accept one order
Please do the same experiment again.
I tried it and it worked just as he predicted.
I think he has something going on here!
He certainly do. I even tried accepting every order and I got paid just as if I was 🍒 picking
Do you do this Full -Time??
So this method is flawed. I have gotten an order for 180 bucks one time. I get orders for over 50 bucks regularly. So by this method if I receive a 50 dollar order. I shouldn't receive another for 2.5 hours. It doesn't add up. I have gone over 500 bucks in a 10 hour period. Have actually come close to 600. So explain if you can only make 20 an hour. How do I make at times 35 or 40 an hour. I am currently for this week averaging 38 an hour. I accept every order on doordash alone. How is this possible?
I call bullshit...nobody gets $180 orders and nobody averages 38/hour by accepting every order. Only way this could even remotely be possible is if you live in an area that has an extremely low number of drivers and you are triple and quad stacked
@@803ep3 it's sucks to have such a huge ego and see someone does better that you huh. I feel you. I really do.
Where did you get your information that in your area you are projected to make S20.00 per hour?
I Googled it honestly. I couldn't find it on the app.
Just about dead on.🤔🤷
Next time take something like that $3.50 for 1.7 miles. You can knock that out quickly. Testing UDM's theory of negotiating with the algorithm. You have to give it something for it to give you something. Will it reward you with a good offer? Just make sure any crap orders you accept are short distance. Also this comes from Bentley Koup, give the app a 10% discount from your normal minimum on your first 2 orders. Your next order he says will be a baller.
Thanks For the pic shoutout! I love all the attention 😂
🤣 I know you do
Cute shirt!
👍🛎️thanks
using udm method you're not suppose to decline ANY orders! His claim is that if you take those lowballs for 3 dollars and complete it on time....the app will give you the next orders to add up to whatever the estimated money per hour is..........this video was pointless and not a true test of his method.
In his 2nd video he says to cherry pick. Thanks for watching!
@@SaraElizabethYT so what's the difference? Is he just stating that they cap you per hour regardless of cherry picking or not?
The time and the amount doesn't tell you enough about how much money you've made though. It's all about the profit margin. If you do 3x $8 offers but they're 8 miles each, your dash says $24 dollars but your profit (according to the IRS) is $8.64 for that hour. That's significantly less than I make when cherry picking. Your $6/mi are more like it. :P
Just try the accempt every order first hour again
I don't get how she's so surprised about the high payout of the three orders in a row when she knew there was a $5.50 promo pay going on.. that's an extra $16.50 or just those three orders from front promo pay
There wasn't any peak pay shown!
$20/hr... that peak pay came out of DD bank. lol.
My dream to com America but I don't have money..
Shid it was a Monday after watching his video I made 25 a hr
In another video he said that no tip would,,'ve been more profitable.
I may try that next
I thought he said it resets at the hour
Sorry um confused..what exactly did you do that you normally wouldn't do ?
Well normally I would be deciding a ton of bad orders but these are all the ones that I received. He said your orders should add up to $20 /hour...and they did!
What an odd coincidence? I've never heard of peak pay just appearing.
Right?! I've never seen that before!
Oh yes! I'll see it show up for an hour so and some times get stacked bonuses. Usually turns up when there is bad weather that pops up but also sort of in between times on "slower" days
It appears if it's extra busy and they need people.. It's usually randomly added in my area random times like 6:40 - 7:30. Only usually 1 or 2$. My area only gets peak pays at 11pm and onwards into the night.
Won't they deactivate you if you use an outside app?
No they won't
@@SaraElizabethYT and you have proof that they won't? I've been doing different kinds of gig work for almost 5 years. I've heard and seen lots of reports of people getting deactivated for using outside apps. So just giving caution.
Only way to prove this...is to do 8 hrs.....5 days👌
Sounds like you benefited from some glitch going on.
DoorDash makes the rules. Drivers abide by them. That's how it is.
I know it doesn't work in my area.....
I don’t think it had anything to do with his method I think it was bc of peak pays
I’d say try it again with no crazy peak pay! I wish I had 5.50 peak pay!
That's the weird part though.. there wasn't peak pay in this area. I will be trying it out again!
