  • Hi everyone,
    Let's look into the journey of an unlikely friendship. Living in their own world, they don’t see race, they don’t see religion. Against all odds, they found each other and formed a beautiful bond! Wow if I am any more poetic I might be sick! Anyway guys, enjoy the video.
    Don’t forget to leave a thumbs up, comment, and subscribe.

    Thank you. It is always eye-opening when I get to understand these beautiful kids from the parents' perspective and catering to their needs.

    Thank you for this. My son is 5 years old, and just got a diagnosis in May 2023. There is just so much reading, so much to learn. So many frustrations, mostly on my part. I just need massive guidance, and so glad I found your channel, because all those 1 hour presentations on autism are overwhelming :(

    Lovely sweet video, understanding patient parents indeed. My recommendation, let the boys hang out with goats other grazing animals that characteristically communicate like human autistics, thus telepathically learning to bond/love wordlessly.

    Brought me to tears that’s all I can say my son has mild autism and coming back from a small Caribbean country where been diagnosed is not something you can get without having a big pay check it was very difficult and most just now learning or haven’t heard of the word as yet. It puzzle them they would say my son is too rude why you allow that child to throw himself no the ground and bang his head or it’s my fault I didn’t talk enough to him that’s why he wasn’t talking at 4yrs old he is now 6yrs old and talks not a lot but he has come along way he stop banging his head but bang things instead.
    My daughter is 12years old but she is doing some things I am wondering if she has the same problem. She is laughing and spinning in her room at night she has been doing this for awhile now. Also she walks on tiptoe
    When she was 4she did it she use to say she is Dora but does Dora walks on tiptoes. We live in Canada now maybe I should get her tested. What do you think is this a cause for concerned.
    I do cry most times because I am now starting to feel it’s my fault my kids seems to be having these problems

      Sandrine Sparkes Connell hi there I’m so sorry it’s been so hard for you to get a diagnosis. I’m not a doctor but they way you describe your daughter I would say she is ok the spectrum. Autism manifest itself in different ways in girls. So they are better at masking it. I hope this helps sending lots of love x

    • @Mamaofchaos2
      @Mamaofchaos2 4 роки тому +1

      Hi I know this is an old comment but I absolutely had to reply my daughter does allot of the same things you say your daughter does and her school forwarded her for diagnosis she’s still going through the diagnostic process but the physiologist is absolutely convinced she is on the spectrum (we live in the uk) Please get your daughter assessed fight for it if you have to to many girls go undiagnosed as it is not as obvious in girl and it can take a tremendous toll on your mental health if you live with it undiagnosed there is a generic element to.

    • @SANsSlowPath
      @SANsSlowPath 4 роки тому

      Belly Mama oh really thank you. We never thought about her getting testing but it was when my mom said she felt scared because my daughter would get up in the night and be spinning spinning for like half and hour and be laughing wouldnt that made you concerned she is still doing it at night time and she will be 13 yrs old in a few weeks. Is that normal😳

    • @SANsSlowPath
      @SANsSlowPath 4 роки тому

      Coming Home to Autism I never got her diagnosed at all she wasn't a concern just my son he had mild autism they got him tested because of his grandmother she is specialist nurse and she knows a lot of people so he got tested now my daughter is the one. Was just saying if his grandmother was not involved with my son and him getting tested in Jamaica then I would have be carrying a big paycheck for him to even get a simple test.
      As for my daughter she is my concern now her spinning none stop at night time for like 15-30mins per nights she get up from her sleep and does that and I thought it would disappear but it has gotten worst she gets up at night time and does this spinning spinning until she falls and bump into something. I can change her room up because she want her stuff like that and the spinning gotten worst since I moved to 🇨🇦Canada. She wake up and spins spins even spraining her hand because she falls a few times broke stuff in her room because she spin and fall on stuff
      Hello that's scary 😬 I only know she is spinning when I hear a bang or she says cry out in paid when I ask if she was spinning again she don't answer. She keeps denying it one day I ask her she said its the world is moving too slow so I have to speed it up and then she laugh😳and went back to bed

    Hello, really love all the videos u keep posting! I've a 3yr old with autism and these videos make me prepared ahead of time. One thing that comes to my mind is how did you tell/make Dylan understand he has autism? Referring to your chat with the kids about being an autistic president...

    I read somewhere that there is a difference between how autistic people and neurotypical communicate but autistic people can communicate with each other. I remember being in pre school and being so confused by the other kids. I remember sitting there and thinking what am I supposed to do with this.

    What age did your son use his words to communicate, my 3 year old son talks but doeant use his words to connect...... he talks a lot, lol, which is amazing as he didnt talk to over 2 and a half years and all of a sudden it was like a switch came on but he only recites groups of things and by that I mean shapes, colours, animals and the noises they make. He does a lot from memory and things he watches on you tube. Which is amazing to see as he always does them in perfect order

    Please when you have a chance make a video of how your sweet boy began his conversation skills and/or spontaneity to respond any comment. My son is 7 and is functionally verbal meaning He can ask for what he needs and say yes or no but does not mention what He feels and thinks.

    • @DavidHalverson
      @DavidHalverson Рік тому

      Spontaneous comments regarding how the child is feeling is rare in even Aspergers which my youngest boy was diagnosed with. Usually I get from him one word "ok" or "fine" nothing further on his thoughts about his day at school or playing with his friends. This comes out when we are in bed gong to sleep and just chatting or I have him in the bath, relaxing time, is when I'll get more out of him verbally, he "opens" up to me more.
