What was the Secret Service agent armed with? As the advance sweep, he should have had a rifle, but I suspect he only had a handgun.
There were two successes that day: the agent was alert and identified the threat, and a citizen had the presence of mind to photograph the suspect and his vehicle. The Secret Service leadership is a total failure.

The bottom line is that as a private security contractor I’ve never lost a principle or protected client due to doing my proper intelligence analysis and homework to keep my clients safe. Everything I learned in the Marine Corps and at Executive Security International has served me well. Complacent kills people every day. Being prepared everyday and staying alert and ready is very easy with the right training, tools and resources. If I was on Trumps security team he would have never been shot………as a Marine I protected many so called elite personnel and political leaders as well as foreign diplomats and dignitaries not one ever got shot at or injured even in war zones. The Securet Service just needs to do the work!

@@abaddon4823 An automatic rifle shoots multiple bullets with one trigger pull with it being held back. It may have a feature to fire semiautomatic (One trigger pull-one shot). Using this as a sniper weapon, it would be fired semiautomatic. Full automatic fire is a spray and pray technique to take out multiple targets.
