Meet RebHELL, the first HELLCAT powered WIDEBODY Ram Rebel!

- Two weekends ago, the 5thGenRams.com staff traveled to Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, Ontario for some drag racing fun at our friend Dave Hayes’ SRT Hayes event. While we were there we had to catch up with our friend Charles, a 5thGenRams forum member who has been working a very unique 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel. By unique, we mean insane.
While some might be fine with the performance of the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V8, it wasn’t enough for Charles. Instead of waiting for Ram to bring their upcoming Rebel TRX to market, he decided to create his own 707 horsepower HEMI HELLCAT V8 monster. That’s right, this is a HELLCAT-powered Ram Rebel! Charles is no stranger to building awesome trucks, he created an amazing lifted 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with a 5.9-liter Cummins turbo diesel under the hood. But with this project, he needed some help with the transplant, that’s when he reached out to America’s Most Wanted 4×4 in Holly, Michigan.
Swapping the powertrain wasn’t the only thing Charles did to his Rebel. He installed the very first Fiberwerx widebody kit for the 2019 Ram 1500 (DT) trucks that were available to the public. This gives the truck a very bold and menacing appearance compared to the average Rebel and looks more in line with what a real production Rebel TRX would have. The truck also currently sits on the stock Ram four-corner air suspension and sits on a set of 18-inch Method 305 wheels wrapped in 37-inch x 12.5-inch Nitto Ridge Grapplers tires. The truck also features hand fabricated Rebel bumpers which are made to align the 4-inch wider widebody kit, Carven Competitor exhaust, and fabricated Dodge Charger SRT HELLCAT grille intakes.

Before it happened when it was said that the axle was stock I thought to myself that axles days are numbered. 707 HP and 37s will definitely kill that stock axle.
I cannot find anywhere, a recommendation on drivetrain if a guy wants to install a hellcat in a ram 1500 (gen 4).

Come on people, screw the track and get that beast in the dirt! And rip out that air ride crap and put a full Dirt King long travel kit on it. By the way Dirt King built the TRX Concept Truck. I'm sure if you reach out to them they will hook you up.
37s and 700hp on stock axles and launching the truck. Poor axles. Great truck though. This is something I’ve all ways dreamed about doing. 👍🏻

Wait this thing is running stock suspension and claims to be a trx or trx like? Nah fam gotta put some king or fox shocks on it if you trying to do it right also not surprised stock axles couldn't handle that kinda power but it was an admirable attempt though
Incredible build! Unfortunately, the fate of what happened is (eventually) to-be expected when ensuing that much strain on lower strength factory components. Props to @that_guy_from_br for the build 👌🏻 👊🏻 and to you guys @5thGenRams for the footage! I can’t wait to see more content of this beast! 🦅 🇺🇸

I was lucky enough to be part of the team that built all of the prototype TRX's. Awesome trucks, cant wait for them to come out!! Nice build, but definitely needed stronger axles.

I have a Rebel 2021 I’m looking to out Hellcat inside. Any tips
Curious to know what transmission and brake mods if any were done.
Stock 8hp75 trans and I believe stock brakes as well.
Stock Hellcat map is close to 15 psi. Seems like stock tuning would yield him a ton of performance.

The axle problem is probably why the test mule had a 3/4 ton rear end under it, other than that all I can say is I wish I had the funds to build one too

Interesting truck. It's easy to replicate, or improve features after an idea is in production for sometime now. Raptor is the pioneer and still king. Like to see that Ram jump some hills or dunes. Another straight line vehicle...???

This is far from a TRX. No suspension mods. No drivetrain mods. Not the same engine. Not impressive widebody. Call it what it is, a modified Rebel. Nice Rebel. Cool truck. Better than stock. Just don't call it a TRX.

🤔 they built a truck with all this power but forget about heavy duty drivelines?! And axles?! pretty sure its gonna need a new tranny too something heavy duty. He mentioned nothing about the transmission and with all that power 😬 i see this truck going constantly to the shop, having a transmission replaced and all kinds of issues.

The company I work for will be hauling the TRX to dealers. Had to test fit it on our trucks. It's 2" wider than the Raptor.

Adding a massive powerplant to a frame not designed for such, may lead to micro fractures or cracks in the metal and welds that may break completely one day. Didn't ram beef up the trx frame for this?

The truck looks amazing watching videos of the TRX Hellcat Ram and watching this video the only thing that's missing is the air vents on the fenders but the work and craftsmanship that went into this is really unbelievable beautiful truck
