Great video, love your no nonsense way. I have had my a215 since 2008 and have been thinking about replacing the thermal paste because its getting hotter then usual. This video helps!
Sure seemed to be a quick and dirty disassembly of the laptop. It would have been nice to have some commentary about what was being disassembled as he went along.
Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Was able to pull out a mass of dust from the G/card causing shutdowns from overheating. Thank you so much.
I have a Toshiba A215-S7416 and all I need to do is replace factory speakers which I already have. Could you please tell me if I need to disassemble the bottom end of computer just to get to the speakers? I mean all the screws & the hardware.
I appreciate your answer. One other question- I see you wearing an anti-static wrist band. Where exactly could I find one that does NOT have the grounding wire on it? I despise having to do that as it is hard enough for me just to replace my speakers.
+Sam W I need to buy speakers for my Toshiba A215-S7422. Where do I get them? I am having trouble to find them. Also the volume control knob. Any ideas? Thank you!
eBay, the only place where all used laptop parts are located. If I am looking at it right now - I see speakers and case bottom with speakers. Case Bottom cost cheaper. :)
+regazzz thank you so much for your response. I found one case bottom on eBay that is from a A215-S7414: do you know if that would work for an A215-S7422? are all the parts for the A215s the same?
Hey, I have a Toshiba A215-S4697 and I want to change the graphics card or video card, is there a source online? I dont want to upgrade too high or overheat. I have a 1.60GHz and wanted to upgrade to an 2.0GHz AMD Turion 64. Already upgraded the RAM
I have a question for you. I need to change the back light on the same laptop. Is it possible to open up the screen without disassembling to whole laptop? Please respond.
Greetings Brothers a question I disassembled it But when I put it back together but the sound no worked for me all connection are good, the speakers connection are good. What i did done wrong can you help me ?
Hello, if everything else works and you can load to Windows, I would probably first look in Device Manager to check if maybe some drivers are missing. If all good there, I would maybe plug in head phones to see if they work (although they should work, but will give you some piece of mind) I would also reboot it a few times and run maybe a troubleshooter for sound (I never believe it works, but sometimes it does) Last step would be get a good/tested internal speakers and try them out. But at that point you are gambling on other things are working that might stop after another disassembly. I hope you will figure this out!
@@regazzzyeah been working on one and needed to see which side was which to reconnect it, of course I had it flipped and had to take it apart an put it the other way...then the darned on/off button stopped worked so it got deep sixed. I imagine this is what it would be like if one trained a Neanderthal to disassemble electronic devices. Let's hope he doesn't he doesn't do repairs professionally, as it looks like someone who runs an eBay "chop-shop." Ouch!

Pretty good laptop. 10 years old but still runs great with a 32bit OS, extra ram and an SSD
Jon Doe I am hesitating that it has Vista and SSD would be underperforming without TRIM.
Yes, I will upload a video about that on weekends, will let you know.

Nice. Been tearing my hair out trying to figure out where they hid the CMOS battery, as mine has died. Thanks!!
Is the empty wire slot at 3:42 to the left of the 3G/HD normal?

Sam W you need to do same thing and remove a palmrest. Speakers are on the palmrest. Change speakers and put everything back together.

thank you bro
You are welcome!
could be better made if video area is devoted to laptop and less to workspace. The window lightng turns down luminosity to rest of picture
Could be. It was 10 years ago. I have changed lighting a bit, still not as professional as it can be.
I like this imagination. :)
Thank you so much!
missed the part where you took the ribbon from the touchpad area
It wasn't removed in this video. Thank you for asking.

the crude & careless handling of this person is why don't recommend repair shops in general find some one local who has rep & good reviews
He’s so aggressive
