This was very informative! I am researching trees for an art project and the camphor tree is on the top of my list of trees I'm considering. Thank you!
Can anyone tell me why my neighbors camphor tree has yellowish leaves instead of dark green like it is supposed to? Its an old tree but been yellow leaves for a long time.
I love the unique base of the tree. I have some in my front yard. I could start a camphor farm. They produce endless seedlings. Thanks so much for the video -) Are you based in Florida ?
Thank you, that was really enlightening. Here in Asia, most of the balms for muscular pain, mosquito bites and a thousand other usages are camphor based. You may be familiar with the most popular balm known as Tiger Balm and sold worldwide. I was just curious to know what the tree looked like (I"m European) and your video has been very exhaustive. I know people use camphor also as a natural repellent for bugs and rodents but they use the powder version which I have no clue how to make from the tree. If you have any ideas, please keep posting more videos, I'll be following you. I'm particularly interested in the natural application of plants and trees as natural medicine, food or tea.
I like your interest in and curiosity for, Trees! Roughly 30% of all human medicines come from Nature's Pharmacopia, which is another reason it's nuts to clear cut Rainforests, etc. See my website for more info: www.greentreeworld.com

OK, so what are you supposed to do to reduce the height of the tree if not a blunt cut?
How do you properly limb or prune these trees?

Superb.
There is a grand old camphor tree in Taiwan it has a trunk circumference of 20 metres
This guy knows his wood which is why I bet he probably gets a lot of action.
I read that Taiwan was a major provider during colonial Japan occupation,at the time it was important even for smokeless gunpowder
how useful is this tree as lumber?
find another camera operator
A nice chest board made from real boards of camphor is worth $400 the older the more valuable
humm okay, didn't see anything, so basically this was useless. Thank you though.
