I love this show , but what frustrates me immensely is that none of these people tell each other about the weird shit that's happening to them! .I'm sat here betting that Tabitha will come back and not tell anyone where she's been.
That's literally my one gripe with the show. More and more mysteries are being introduced but no answers are being revealed. They need to have a mandatory group meeting and actually TALK! Everyone should know about the faraway trees at this point. But everyone refuses to talk to one another. It's annoying af.
When Boyd was working with the saw, he’s making a memory board for those who have died, not working on the trap. Father Khatri just assumes it’s the trap. But the fact that he didn’t know what Boyd was working on shows that he’s not a figment of Boyd’s imagination. He must be manifested by the town.

The Unique Idea of this show makes me to follow it in any case but something that annoys me is that the most time of every episode spends on unnecessary dialogues . and the remaining is just making more questions.

Hi! I'm the who figured out the sticker at 4:10. I posted the unaltered newspapers they used for two of the intro scenes over on Twitter. One is from Abbeville in 1884, one is from Montgomery in 1920. Now that we know that Thabita and Jin are somehow versions of Victor's Mom and Dad, and probably, Ethan is a version of Victor. Maybe, Elgin is a version of Fatima's unborn sun.
That's what I thought too. When Tabitha said that the song that played in the car was her and her husband's song, it gave me the idea that Victor could possibly be Ethan as an adult. And victor dad could obviously be Ethan dad, as the older version. Which would explain Tabitha's bracelet being in the glove compartment. Mmm.. I don't know

If you go and watch the episode 4 promo trailer right now, you will see (pay close attention because it goes quick): 1. a scene where the medic on the ambulance is laying dead in the middle of the road with the lights shining on him 2. Julie helping her mom (Tabitha) with her injuries on the couch back at their home in the town. 3. Victors dad In the background of a scene inside colony house where they are protecting it from the monsters outside.
Isn’t it weird how victor’s dad isn’t asking about his daughter? He found out victor was alive and kept asking about him but the daughter hadn’t been mentioned by him yet.

If you hear that your missing son alive after all of this time would you not ask about your wife and daughter? Like obvious questions - If my son is alive but what about my wife and daughter? What happened to them? Are they alive? Is there any chance that they still alive? This is what you expect. Victors father and Tabitha conversations are rather weird. And this should be the most important conversations of all. And we got only 10 min of it. It is not about mentioning the word "daughter", this is about obvious conversations that are not happening. We only guessing everything - this is bad writing.
The episode ending is just perfect. My mind was racing expecting Tabitha opening the car door and back on fromville. Didn't expect the ending whatsoever. 10/10

I won’t be surprised if this show starts to deal with different timelines with different trees sending you to different years , its also a reason why we see “ghost” and “monsters” dressed like their not from this time. The series probably got inspiration from Dark series

I think some people are missing the point here. It’s not that we’re upset that show is taking its time or annoyed because it’s “ not fast enough “ , what is upsetting that there basically not a single one question that has been answered at its third season.. in fact the show keeps throwing more questions and mysteries without showing the audience any sign that they’re cable for giving any form of satisfying answers. And unlike lost, the show doesn’t even take each character to its own journey of growth & makes us at least enjoy their dialogues and interactions. So the show definitely needs to stop depending on throwing riddles around in order to grab people’s attention , especially when it’s the third season and probably ending in its fourth. I enjoyed the first season and im just looking for “ any” sign that makes trust the writers know what they’re doing actually and not just throwing big questions only to distract audience from possible plot holes and some lazy writing
some mysteries seem solved like the knowledge that victors mom knew of the place before entering it (a first) and that what is central is those 7 kids who need to be rescued
And I'm guessing a number of questions could get answered if the characters actually talked to each other and shared their experiences and information. That's the maddening part for me. Don't get me wrong, still love the show, but not sharing info is not a favored plot device for me.
They literally explained the end game. So I have no idea what hope your holding out for. Most of the "questions" are actually clues. That's what clues do they lead you down a path. Just for the record. The ending of Lost was just fine. You all just can't get over trying to shove it through a Christian lens.

I think Tabatha is related to Victor somehow. Also I’m excited to see Victor hopefully reunite with his dad (bittersweet moment). But I agree on at least getting some answers. Like the episodes need a beginning, middle and end. Each episode feels too short but too slow and drawn out. Like Boyd wanted to kidnap a monster… why not actually do that in said episode? I understand the beauty of suspense and a build-up, but that gotta hurry up now.

Donna and Tillie are tits deep in whatever is happening in that fricking town, Donna ruining every time people start talking and making plans, like she didnt want for people to leave the town; Tillie and her weird ways, always lurking over people and she's an expert tarot reader now, it's like it all was a game that they're playing against each other, Donna trying to keep people traped in the town and Tillie trying to help them out, using their minions (the monsters, the ghosts, the whte kids, cicadas, etc)
We've had multiple ppl call it a game. We've also had multiple ppl call it a dream. So it's hard to know if those things are just being said to make us assume that's the scenario. I do think it's a dream type pocket universe or under world

I don't think it's BAD at this point but it's not even good, let alone "one of the best shows on TV in a while". Plot development is actually important lol
Tilly is a WITCH. Tilly knows exactly where she is, and why she's there. She also knows how to get out. She's playing on her own turf(the supernatural). That's why she started dancing when she arrived. That doesn't necessarily mean that she's on the bad side. Witches are chaotic characters. She's setting things in motion in order to save herself. She befriends people who can help her plan come through. As the episodes go by she will probably develop feelings for other people than just herself and in the end she might help. It's always useful to have a witch on your side.

Probably no one will see this but if the theory about cycles is correct than my prediction is that everyone will die in season 3 except for Ethan. Ethan repeating what Victor was all those years ago as the lone survivor. Idk They probably wont go as far, but those who have had some interactions with the boy in white seem to be the ones with the most luck .
Was it the real world, though? I mean, if everything goes in cycles or reincarnations, how did the ambulance start driving through a forested area if they were in the middle of the town? Does the force that encompasses Fromville have the ability to warp space and time? I’m feeling about as lost with this series right now as I was when I was watching Lost in the third and fourth seasons. And the pit season, and the sixth season. I hope season three answers some questions.
growing up in a small town the closest hospital was 30 mins away. I assume that's the case here, driving from a small town where the tree was to the larger city where the hospital is.
Everyone in town ended up there even though they were from different states! They were all driving in different states and somehow ended up on that same rode! How is that possible. I think there are portals all over the country and they all somehow end up going through them. Or the place opens portals wherever they want to! It seems to choose it's victims. So does it open portals wherever it needs to so that it can lure them in?

It seems that everyone there was in a fight or distracted or is ashamed of what they were doing right before they got to the tree in the road. Like I think they either crashed or snapped and are now in pergatory

I think there is a cycle repeating and the characters are archetypical: Thabita and Victor´s mother represents the same archetype, the woman who is expected to free the children in the lighthouse. Hence the coincidences: the song, the bracelet, having two children... Jade is the archetype that gets insane and kills everybody, like in the previous cycle that Victor witnessed (in which everybody was killed)
The monsters do not want Tabetha to know about the other bottle tree. Possibly the one which actually is a faraway tree which leads to the escape entry for the Fromville folks. Hence they made her discover the ring in the Glove box confusing her that she is still in Fromville and not in the real world.
This episode made me tear up of fear at the end because seeing the ambulance driving to the town not on purpose was scary asf. Especially since Tabitha said the town was playing with her.
I think this is pretty much what we're getting IF we're getting any answers at all: It's pretty clear to me at this point that Tabitha and Viktor's mom are the same spirit, just reincarnated or something like that; that's why they like the same song and made the same bracelet, and also why Viktor and Tabitha got along so naturally. Also, Viktor had a sister (family of 4) just like Tabitha's family has 4 people. There's a bond between them and probably other women in the past too. My guess is that children d13d there for some ritual or ignorance of the town's people waaaay back (can't be millennium because of some of their clothes, but centuries back would work) and one of the children mother's cursed those people not to d1e ever and become monsters, so someday someone could go there and save the children's soul or something like that. I mean, after this Tabitha trip in real world + Viktor mom seeing the children before even arriving Fromland, it's pretty clear that their "mission" there is to "save" this children somehow, and since they look d3ad already, I think this is the most plausible explanation so far.
Fatima is pregnant but could she be turning into one of the creatures? She’s turning very pale and eating rotted foods, teeth falling out. Could this be how the metamorphosis starts. Just a thought

Hope Boyd manages to catch a monster for our sake, i really want some answers. They seem to be afraid of the worms inside him so maybe he can use that to his advantage? I don't watch the show so i don't know exactly how the scenes go, just the summary from these videos lol. And someone give the crop lady some actual food, if she's having pregnancy cravings give her an ice cream burger. I just had an afterthought: What if she is pregnant with a monster? @@audioamateurthe monsters don't know that. They can be threatened by that idea because they know one of them actually died from it. This is the way to go: trapping one of them in a tiny space with an amulet and threatening the monster with the idea of the worms being injected in them. That'd probably work.

There's one loop hole. Boyd or I think it was Ellis mentioned puting a Talisman outside the trap after getting one of them inside it which normally makes since but. In the last episode Boyd put a Talisman on the door to the barn so the creatures outside couldn't come in and as we all know some were already in there and it was a trap but how did they leave then? There was only one way in because otherwise Boyd would have had Mrs. Chen run to the back to place a Talisman as well. This makes a continuity error because if what Boyd wanted to do in trapping one would work how he was going to do it, then shouldn't there already had been 4 trapped from the previous attack because he sealed the barn with a Talisman.

I feel there is a very big time loop or reincarnation happening. But I feel this cycle is what will possibly break the loop. For example Tabita, Jim, Ethan, and Julie are a exact copy to Victor Dad, Miriada, Victor, Victor Sister. Victor mom and Tabitha basically had to same visions. Jade and Chris seem to be similar of sorts. I'm sure Sarah probably has some counter part. Fatima seems to be similar to Tilly. We're just not able to piece things together just yet is all.
I just figured out the Garb of unknown ghost. Appears to be similar to what was worn during American revolution/1700's era. Of note, the neckerchief he's wearing is common amongst farmers, sailors, and those that fought in militias during 1775. Also wearing knee breeches with socks that are below knee (possibly wraped legs in puttee's, hard to tell). Pine tree riots on April 14, 1772 lead to the Boston tea party protest that happened on on December 16, 1773. 1773 is one of the dates on the lighthouse. Finally, the spike in the unknown man's head is probably a Ship's Timber spike, which are nearly identical to railroad spikes. Railroad spike not having been invented til 1832. Jade's visions seems to be showing him people/things that align with the lighthouse dates going from most recent to oldest.

I never thought I would appreciate so many twists, things happening too frequent and constant "wtf's?!" in a show, but for some reason it works here. Finally seems like some producers have evolved, and the fact that the show doesn't follow the common expectations we have, is such a good sign. It's not just a unique idea -which have had many of-, but its unfolding is inventive and exciting
I woulda bet money that Tabitha and Henry were gonna get to the tree and go through a hole together. The ambulance driving up to the tree was such a good surprise angle.

There's a theory abt it being related to Jade's quantum computing business. That and the rental company clues are the biggest leads so far that would suggest a conspiracy at play as opposed to the other main supernatural elements.

No the time is the same. When Tabitha talks to her mom on the phone after she leaves the hospital she mentions how long they've been looking for her. The time they've been looking for her is the same amount of time that she has been in fromville. The same happened with Kristi when her girlfriend arrived on the bus! She mentioned how long it has been since Kristi disappeared and the time matches how long Kristi has been in fromville. A lot of people say Victor and his dad look the same age but they really don't. Victor barely has any gray hair, his dad has a full head of gray hair and gray facial hair. Victor is in his late 40's maybe early 50's based on the timeline. He has been in the town for about 40 years and he was around 9 or 10 when he arrived in town. His father appears to be in his early 70's. They're approximately 18 to 20 something years apart in age.
I feel they are all trapped in pergatory or something like they are almost dead but not quite. The Tilly lady is also shady and maybe a demon watching over the birth or something.
I just realized something, did they give up on the bile experiment? They got the bile from the dead creature to try to kill others. What happened to that?
The railroad spike, and the clothing of the man who was nailed to the tree indicate 19 century clothing, and accessories since 1848 I believe, was written on the staircase of the lighthouse, that could be where the trap comes from so it’s about a century old. And I don’t know if drinking blood would turn someone evil it has to be more settled than that.
Tabitha called her mother when she left the hospital. Her mother is alive, Victor's mother is dead. Tabitha is a Latina too. I think if she was his sister she would have recognized her own father and her home! She also would have ended up back in Maine in her hometown if she escaped all of those years ago when she ran after her mother. Once she escaped she probably would have ended up in the hospital like Tabitha did or with the police who would have found out who her parents were and where she lived so they could reunite her with them. When Victor said his mom and sister disappeared his father was a suspect and it was basically a missing persons case so that means the police would have realized she was one of the missing members of Victor's family.
Regarding the railroad spike - there 100% IS train tracks nearby, indeed, or at least, the Matthews drove past some in their camper right before they ended up in town...

That's literally my one gripe with the show. More and more mysteries are being introduced but no answers are being revealed. They need to have a mandatory group meeting and actually TALK! Everyone should know about the faraway trees at this point. But everyone refuses to talk to one another. It's annoying af.
When Boyd was working with the saw, he’s making a memory board for those who have died, not working on the trap. Father Khatri just assumes it’s the trap. But the fact that he didn’t know what Boyd was working on shows that he’s not a figment of Boyd’s imagination. He must be manifested by the town.
the problem is that he predicted exactly the plan of capturing the monster and if he got it wrong boyd wouldv noticed .....

I think some people are missing the point here. It’s not that we’re upset that show is taking its time or annoyed because it’s “ not fast enough “ , what is upsetting that there basically not a single one question that has been answered at its third season.. in fact the show keeps throwing more questions and mysteries without showing the audience any sign that they’re cable for giving any form of satisfying answers.
And unlike lost, the show doesn’t even take each character to its own journey of growth & makes us at least enjoy their dialogues and interactions.
So the show definitely needs to stop depending on throwing riddles around in order to grab people’s attention , especially when it’s the third season and probably ending in its fourth.
I enjoyed the first season and im just looking for “ any” sign that makes trust the writers know what they’re doing actually and not just throwing big questions only to distract audience from possible plot holes and some lazy writing
some mysteries seem solved like the knowledge that victors mom knew of the place before entering it (a first) and that what is central is those 7 kids who need to be rescued
It definitely feels uncomfortable that a 3 season investment might not pay off
And I'm guessing a number of questions could get answered if the characters actually talked to each other and shared their experiences and information. That's the maddening part for me. Don't get me wrong, still love the show, but not sharing info is not a favored plot device for me.
They literally explained the end game. So I have no idea what hope your holding out for. Most of the "questions" are actually clues. That's what clues do they lead you down a path.

I think Tabatha is related to Victor somehow. Also I’m excited to see Victor hopefully reunite with his dad (bittersweet moment). But I agree on at least getting some answers. Like the episodes need a beginning, middle and end. Each episode feels too short but too slow and drawn out. Like Boyd wanted to kidnap a monster… why not actually do that in said episode? I understand the beauty of suspense and a build-up, but that gotta hurry up now.

Donna and Tillie are tits deep in whatever is happening in that fricking town, Donna ruining every time people start talking and making plans, like she didnt want for people to leave the town; Tillie and her weird ways, always lurking over people and she's an expert tarot reader now, it's like it all was a game that they're playing against each other, Donna trying to keep people traped in the town and Tillie trying to help them out, using their minions (the monsters, the ghosts, the whte kids, cicadas, etc)

Tilly is a WITCH. Tilly knows exactly where she is, and why she's there. She also knows how to get out. She's playing on her own turf(the supernatural). That's why she started dancing when she arrived. That doesn't necessarily mean that she's on the bad side. Witches are chaotic characters. She's setting things in motion in order to save herself. She befriends people who can help her plan come through. As the episodes go by she will probably develop feelings for other people than just herself and in the end she might help. It's always useful to have a witch on your side.

Probably no one will see this but if the theory about cycles is correct than my prediction is that everyone will die in season 3 except for Ethan. Ethan repeating what Victor was all those years ago as the lone survivor. Idk They probably wont go as far, but those who have had some interactions with the boy in white seem to be the ones with the most luck .
Was it the real world, though? I mean, if everything goes in cycles or reincarnations, how did the ambulance start driving through a forested area if they were in the middle of the town? Does the force that encompasses Fromville have the ability to warp space and time? I’m feeling about as lost with this series right now as I was when I was watching Lost in the third and fourth seasons. And the pit season, and the sixth season. I hope season three answers some questions.
growing up in a small town the closest hospital was 30 mins away. I assume that's the case here, driving from a small town where the tree was to the larger city where the hospital is.
Everyone in town ended up there even though they were from different states! They were all driving in different states and somehow ended up on that same rode! How is that possible. I think there are portals all over the country and they all somehow end up going through them. Or the place opens portals wherever they want to! It seems to choose it's victims. So does it open portals wherever it needs to so that it can lure them in?

I think there is a cycle repeating and the characters are archetypical: Thabita and Victor´s mother represents the same archetype, the woman who is expected to free the children in the lighthouse. Hence the coincidences: the song, the bracelet, having two children... Jade is the archetype that gets insane and kills everybody, like in the previous cycle that Victor witnessed (in which everybody was killed)
The monsters do not want Tabetha to know about the other bottle tree. Possibly the one which actually is a faraway tree which leads to the escape entry for the Fromville folks. Hence they made her discover the ring in the Glove box confusing her that she is still in Fromville and not in the real world.

This episode made me tear up of fear at the end because seeing the ambulance driving to the town not on purpose was scary asf. Especially since Tabitha said the town was playing with her.

I think this is pretty much what we're getting IF we're getting any answers at all:
It's pretty clear to me at this point that Tabitha and Viktor's mom are the same spirit, just reincarnated or something like that; that's why they like the same song and made the same bracelet, and also why Viktor and Tabitha got along so naturally. Also, Viktor had a sister (family of 4) just like Tabitha's family has 4 people. There's a bond between them and probably other women in the past too.
My guess is that children d13d there for some ritual or ignorance of the town's people waaaay back (can't be millennium because of some of their clothes, but centuries back would work) and one of the children mother's cursed those people not to d1e ever and become monsters, so someday someone could go there and save the children's soul or something like that.

This is the way to go: trapping one of them in a tiny space with an amulet and threatening the monster with the idea of the worms being injected in them. That'd probably work.
And about the original comment: of course her pregnancy is of something different than a human baby. She gets sick by regular food but finds rotten vegetables pleasant. This isn't "cravings" - don't forget she said she was told she couldn't get pregnant. There's definitely something wrong with her

I notice from victors mom (Miranda) painting and drawing, she already drew how that town is going to be according to her vision, I’m thinking, that horrible place chose them and Miranda drew all people and places in the town before she even get there.. we all see Boyd and everyone in her painting so this means that horrible town knows they’re going to come there because they’re are chosen , it’s like a game ,my opinion though
There's one loop hole. Boyd or I think it was Ellis mentioned puting a Talisman outside the trap after getting one of them inside it which normally makes since but. In the last episode Boyd put a Talisman on the door to the barn so the creatures outside couldn't come in and as we all know some were already in there and it was a trap but how did they leave then? There was only one way in because otherwise Boyd would have had Mrs. Chen run to the back to place a Talisman as well. This makes a continuity error because if what Boyd wanted to do in trapping one would work how he was going to do it, then shouldn't there already had been 4 trapped from the previous attack because he sealed the barn with a Talisman.
Good point, but we don't know how he's planning on trapping them. So until then we can't call it a continuity error or a plothole

I feel there is a very big time loop or reincarnation happening. But I feel this cycle is what will possibly break the loop. For example Tabita, Jim, Ethan, and Julie are a exact copy to Victor Dad, Miriada, Victor, Victor Sister. Victor mom and Tabitha basically had to same visions. Jade and Chris seem to be similar of sorts. I'm sure Sarah probably has some counter part. Fatima seems to be similar to Tilly. We're just not able to piece things together just yet is all.
I just figured out the Garb of unknown ghost. Appears to be similar to what was worn during American revolution/1700's era. Of note, the neckerchief he's wearing is common amongst farmers, sailors, and those that fought in militias during 1775. Also wearing knee breeches with socks that are below knee (possibly wraped legs in puttee's, hard to tell).

I never thought I would appreciate so many twists, things happening too frequent and constant "wtf's?!" in a show, but for some reason it works here. Finally seems like some producers have evolved, and the fact that the show doesn't follow the common expectations we have, is such a good sign. It's not just a unique idea -which have had many of-, but its unfolding is inventive and exciting
I woulda bet money that Tabitha and Henry were gonna get to the tree and go through a hole together. The ambulance driving up to the tree was such a good surprise angle.

There's a theory abt it being related to Jade's quantum computing business. That and the rental company clues are the biggest leads so far that would suggest a conspiracy at play as opposed to the other main supernatural elements.

No the time is the same. When Tabitha talks to her mom on the phone after she leaves the hospital she mentions how long they've been looking for her. The time they've been looking for her is the same amount of time that she has been in fromville. The same happened with Kristi when her girlfriend arrived on the bus! She mentioned how long it has been since Kristi disappeared and the time matches how long Kristi has been in fromville. A lot of people say Victor and his dad look the same age but they really don't. Victor barely has any gray hair, his dad has a full head of gray hair and gray facial hair. Victor is in his late 40's maybe early 50's based on the timeline. He has been in the town for about 40 years and he was around 9 or 10 when he arrived in town. His father appears to be in his early 70's. They're approximately 18 to 20 something years apart in age.
I feel they are all trapped in pergatory or something like they are almost dead but not quite. The Tilly lady is also shady and maybe a demon watching over the birth or something.

The railroad spike, and the clothing of the man who was nailed to the tree indicate 19 century clothing, and accessories since 1848 I believe, was written on the staircase of the lighthouse, that could be where the trap comes from so it’s about a century old. And I don’t know if drinking blood would turn someone evil it has to be more settled than that.
I really think Thabatha is Victor's sister. That's why she also loves the song just like Miranda and also she knows how to make the bracelet.
That is a good theory but her accent is pretty different and the age doesn't seem to match up
Tabitha called her mother when she left the hospital. Her mother is alive, Victor's mother is dead. Tabitha is a Latina too. I think if she was his sister she would have recognized her own father and her home! She also would have ended up back in Maine in her hometown if she escaped all of those years ago when she ran after her mother. Once she escaped she probably would have ended up in the hospital like Tabitha did or with the police who would have found out who her parents were and where she lived so they could reunite her with them. When Victor said his mom and sister disappeared his father was a suspect and it was basically a missing persons case so that means the police would have realized she was one of the missing members of Victor's family.
Regarding the railroad spike - there 100% IS train tracks nearby, indeed, or at least, the Matthews drove past some in their camper right before they ended up in town...
When the ending came I literally had a reaction like “no, no, NOooo” agh, f-ing agh!!!!!!!” I mean the moment the stuff started to coincide I was like “oh, no. Please no.” And then the ending came I was like “afffffffff! Too soon, damn it! What?!” Then it ended and I was like “no, it can’t be!? What!! No, I have to wait another week for that!? Awwww nooo” 😅
