kofxv is my favorite fighting game right now. It did so many good things too bad we are a small community compared to the rest of the fighting games

I'm of the opinion that KOF15 should at least finish with a Season 3 or Season 4. I was miffed as hell with the silence from SNK not letting everyone know if they're stopping KOF15 development or not so this post by Oda gives some clarity that something is coming at least.
The New Character is most likely to Promote Fatal Fury: City of the Wolf.

I want a Time Attack and Survival Mode! I like to use those modes to help me get the feel for my characters individually before adding them to my team. My local friends won't play this game with me anymore, so new game modes are the only way I can improve at the moment.
KOF's 30th anniversary's coming up in August (8/25). The best way to celebrate that *is* with one last hurrah of character additions. It'd be dumb to just drop support before doing something to make a big deal about that with their latest entry. Considering there were polls conducted, it'd be nice to see some of the characters who placed highly return (as far as we knew, Duck King and May Lee were some for instance that actually placed pretty highly). And we also need another boss, this time from the NESTS Saga. Krizalid feels like the best choice for that.
I agree that KoF's 30th anniversary could be the reason behing that post, tought I don't believe this this would mean a third season. A lot of time has past since the natural date of release of that desired season, and their main priority now is the launch of City of the Wolves. It would be great to have a third season, but I found it very unlikely.
I think this could be a hint for the chance of SNK to announce the end of KoF XV in a more proper way that an ominious silence, releasing two "final and new" characters for free and maybe something more. Considering how focused they are in City of the Wolves, I believe they would choose the easy way and release Reverse and Otoma-Raga as playable characters, just like Antonov and Verse were playable in KoF XIV.
I obviously wish a third season, but I believe we would be lucky if at least we get Verse and Otoma-Raga (a very nerfed one). Anyway, I think we won't have to wait much to know if there is something enjoyable behind that post,

Apart from DLCs I would also like to see a Definitve Version with ALL characters buffed. A buffed Kyo, same to pre patch level with ridiculous CD would be nice, he's the poster boy of the franchise anyways.

Yo I don’t know if anyone has noticed but there’s a 20 gig update patch for kof XV right now on ps4. That’s a pretty huge patch. Any body know what this is, I’m waiting for it to download.
SNK would be crazy not to make a season 3 to promote COTW. That's literally throwing money away
Not sure about the reasoning being to promote COTW (besides, KOF already has a whole Garou MOTW team and that can already count as promotion) but the reality is it just feels weird to end the game's content updates without a season 3, that even Samsho got... and that happened in a struggling period for the company. The need to focus on FF in my opinion doesnt justify abandoning KOF that way, which is nonetheless the SNK main franchise, the only established franchise (as all others were always unstable). Also the Samsho got a season 3 with zero recycled assets and during the making of KOF 15, while KOF 15 dlc packs always have recycled assets from 14... so i cant see how a season 3 could be so troublesome to make even if the work on FF is considered. At least a smaller pack.
@@carlosaugusto9821 all I'm trying to say is, they put a new character from COTW in season 3 and that'll really hype up the game. It's a smart financial decision.
People still don't understand that it's not the 90s anymore and KOF no longer has the ability to compete with the big franchises. Because they are too complicated for beginners and too simple for those who compete because the game is a bit simpler and weaker than these games and FF has more potential to attract more players because it has everything that KOF doesn't have. KOF XV had low sales

Could be the fatal fury characters are coming to kof 15 maybe snk doing the Kojima and telling fibs that nothing is in the works to stave off the media from questioning there work in progress gives them quietness well they concentrate on finishing projects on ue5

realistically that's what they gonna add, since they add a boss every year about the same time. I hope for Ultimate edition personally with couple of new teams and new boss fight. Aiming for higher.

I'd like to see Mature, Saisyu and (non-Omega) Rugal as possible boss encounters since 2024 marks KOF's 30th anniversary, and they've all appeared in KOF '94 at least. (As far as I know, Mature and Saisyu were NPCs during the original KOF '94.)

Nobody thought about it but perhaps a definitive version will be announced with all DLCs included like Tekken 7 already did. My bet is this

kof 30 years anniversary is a good time to release xv season 3 & add numerous of famous characters from different snk old fighting games such as the last blade, World Hero, kof mi (@ps2) or fatal fury 1,2 to increase popularity of KOF & fatal fury
It's true that a little season 3 would be cool but after all the game currently is really good so that wouldn't be dramatic either :)

KOF 15 is way more balanced than SF6.
Even if SNK is super busy on City of the Wolves, I'd say a Season 3 for KOF XV is a must, since this year marks the franchise's 30th anniversary. Most likely they'll add back classic fighters that have yet to return, like Chang & Choi (duo or separate), Daimon, Takuma, Brian, Lucky, Heavy D, Kensou, Chin, Mature, Saisyu and (non-Omega) Rugal. That's the least SNK can do since, what better way to celebrate the legacy of the KOF franchise as a whole? If this all happened, then KOF XV would be the first KOF since '98 to have all of '94's cast playable.
South town stage for KOF15. To me that makes sense and it will promote City Of The Wolves.

They'll probably use Rick Strowd only for "Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves," because Vanessa's Moveset in KOFXV is way too similar to his Moveset.

Neo Geo Battle Coliseum is practically a forgotten game, which i find sad since i enjoy it a lot.
As much as ilove SNK and KOF XV ithink a season 3 is not needed, iwould much rather prefer them keeping the focus and the budget on FF while also hoping that they are already planning their next KOF with a new saga, innovative combat and a fresh artisitic design that only KOF could retain
I think they're doing what I'd assumed or expected from Tekken developers to do that. TEKKEN 7 would've been a competitive-only game and Tekken 8 would take on the mantle to cater to gathering casuals or new players because it is Anti-Pro although which fighting game developer does it, has to be viable.
May not happen.. i wish though. I still wishing for Season 4 of Sam Show 😂😂.. or a sequel

Every time I'm struggling during a match, when my opponent still has their 3 characters meanwhile I'm with my last one I remember that this ain't the end, this doesn't ends till I see the losing screen. I want to believe, I'm still waiting for the season 3.
