In my opinion, the holy triniy of Silverchair are Frog, Freak & Neon... those three albums blew me away! I mean i was only 10yo when frog dropped, and i was heavily into all the grunge and early numetal stuff but Silverchair delivered three albums in a four year window and progression on each album is almost like the bestles rubbersoul, revolver & srg.pep. i loved it! Unfortunately by time diorama hit the shelves, i wasnt vibing the beach boys vibe lol. Now that im 35yo, i can turn back and listen to diorama with a different appreciation BUT... them first 3 albums though... pack a punch as far as "changes"
Frogstomp I consider a fucking masterpiece. Freakshow was really good too. But frogstomp just so damn good top to bottom. My favorite song is Shade. And to think these dudes were 15 when making frogstomp is very insane.
Frogstomp is rad, but I always liked Freakshow more, the guitar tone is ridiculous. Neon Ballroom though, the songwriting was maturing so much. Imho Emotion Sickness is their masterpiece.
@@eltigre9171Freak Show is my favorite album and era, the live shows were just insane! But Both Frogstomp and Freak Show albums were amazing top to bottom!
Something that people dont get is that ok, we have eras, disco, pop, glam, grunge, but powerful music is always powerful music. We dont need another nirvana or siilverchair but we still need power bands, heavy rock or whatever. I'm tired of pop and all. It's ok, but its healthy to have more than complex music melodies or pop.
Daniel Johns was literally the most beautiful boy I had ever seen!
He looks meek
@@Jeff-g3zDepression and the start of Anorexia will do that
Agree
Miss this band

Agreed. Wish they hadn’t changed their sound! They were so unbelievably good! Especially live!
The only boy band that ever kicked a$$
Such an underrated band
These guys definitely knew how to rock
I still listen to a lot of songs from that album
Frogstomp is one of my favorite albums
I still talk about seeing them when they played tin the valley in Brisbane. They had that AC/DC vib…
It’s crazy that you can actually feel the energy they created with this 🙂↕️
I remember my friends and I going ape shit to the whole frogstomp album
I still play this song by myself often
This album was so awesome
Silverchair should never have abandoned its style
Agreed. Frogstomp was a pretty good album.
He was insanely beautiful!
Still is really
@@grapentine739 he just looks tired now, and with shorter hair
@@massiveonigiri poor dude's suffered a lot of addiction problems along with reactive arthritis. Very imbalanced decisions and growing older.
@massiveonigiri8161 he's in his 40s. He's supposed to look tired 🙄

Same here. Frogstomp is absolutely beautiful.
i heard somewhere that at least part of it was written at ages 12-13

Shade, for their age, was really a foreshadowing of his genius.
