Psalm 73 is a perfect description of me in 2015. Always jealous of how easy everyone else's life was and how many possessions they had without working as hard as I worked. The very minute that I turned to God and became grateful for everything I had, my life changed. It was such a simple thing! I continue to be grateful every day and our God has blessed me beyond measure! Praise God for standing by all of us! Give thanks and choose joy!!💞✝️🙏

Ps 73:25-26 is one of my favorites. "Who do I have in heaven but you? And I desire nothing on earth but you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, my portion forever."

Cast your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in his wonderful face. And the things of this world (others, myself, idols) will grow strangely dim, in the LIGHT of his glory and 👑 grace.

This is a great reminder that God is the same today as he was in the days when the Psalms were written. Just as he struck down those who were against him then, he will do so in today's world. They may seem to have it all, but they will not win. God wins! We abide in him, and he abides in us, and one day, we will reap the rewards of our faithfulness. 🙏✝️

Worship drives out bitterness and despair. Ps 73:17 says that when I go to His sanctuary, then I understand the destiny and emptiness of the selfish and greedy powerful people. Worship gives us insight and wise counsel (Ps 73:24). How many times has God spoken to us while we’re singing, with hands raised, “You give beauty for ashes, You turn graves into gardens-You’re the only one Who can!” (Elevation Worship, “Graves into Gardens”). These songs “recall all You have done, O LORD…I cannot stop thinking about Your mighty works”! (Ps 77:12)

The psalmist almost loses himself when he compared his situation in life to those around him. He could see those not following the Lord flourishing while he was not. But as a follower of God instead of abandoning his faith he tries to understand. In verse 16 he says, “So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is!” In the end that question is not answered, but when he turns his eyes towards God he realized something about himself. In verse 21, “Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside.” So in the end does it matter why the wicked flourish for a time? In the end they come to bitterness, but those of us in God have all we need or even want. God is our wealth and refuge. “But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.”

I'm "behind" in my reading, but it is amazing that I needed to read exactly this today. Today God spoke directly to my heart load and clear: My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
    Psalm 73:26

I never ewad Psalm 77 before with much understanding until I saw it portrayed in The Chosen. Now that I'm reading it for the 3rd or 4th time, all of this informs my comprehension and personalization of it

I am a few days behind the schedule. I just finished watching The Chosen, season 3, episode 8 that is centered around Psalm 77. Interesting things to think about tonight. As TLC has said before, God has me right where I need to be in the plan.

The wicked prospers because they follow and apply the natural principles of life laid down by God in the book of proverbs and Ecclesiastes to attain unto Riches, wealth and abundance.
If anyone follows same principles the corresponding results will follow.
Just as the rain falling on both the wicked and the righteous.
The sun shining on both the wicked and the righteous.
So also anyone that follow God's principles which are called natural law, law of nature such person will get the results.
But yhe difference between the wicked and the righteous is that while they trust in the wealth we trust in God.
They only follow God's principles for wealth but don't follow God i.e they don't know God.
But we follow God, we know God and also follows His principles.
In life, there are days of evil and there's a way that seemed right unto men but the end of that way is destruction.
The only way to avoid this is to put your total trust in God and lean not unto your own understanding and God shall direct your path.
But as for the wicked they trust on their own ways which eventually leads to their death both physically and spiritually in hell.
