Joan, thanks so much for an update on Doug! So glad to see him home and out of the hospital! I will be continuing to pray for his full and speedy recovery!
Well I wasn’t crying it was just my allergies. ❤ Thanks for the video update. Continued prayers for more good reports. We serve a big God! Excited for the baseball game coming up that is a definitely going to be a great time for you all to enjoy. You all deserve a pat on the back. You got this Mr.Doug your a strong man! 🙌
Doug you are a Warrior. I have been praying for you all. I am so glad you are home, and navigating all so well. I am on the same road as you with pancreatic cancer, so very interested in your journey. Best wishes, and prayers.
What better place to heal than at home. So glad to see you both at home. I'll bet it was great to get into your own bed...Love those smiles and I bet it felt good to sleep in your own bed. We were right there with you shedding tears. Prayer for your family still continue. Stay strong and my god bless you all.
So very happy you guys are through this particular hurdle; keeping you all in my prayers for continued healing; clear pathology; peace and comfort. You guys are remarkable and a wonderful testament to Christian marriage. God Bless you both!🙏
Thank you for posting. I lost track of all my WW UA-camrs after my husband’s stroke 2 yrs ago. As a full time caregiver now my weight is not a problem, I’m always moving I guess that’s the secret. Found you again through Sandy who I also started watching again. Keep positive, I’m praying for you both and your boys. ❤
I cried with you! Brought back memories of my husband. You're going to do great. Your life should be all back together again by the holidays! Hang in...God is good!❤
So glad to hear everything is going well and will continue to pray! God is so good! I think most husbands don't think to ask questions at Doctors visits they just want in and out. Doug is a champ to go thru all this....my husband had half his colon removed in 2016 and so far he's done amazing and we give all the glory to God! It is emotional for the family.
Very happy to see how good Doug looks in spite of everything he went through😊. Prayers for continued healing and a good pathology report 🙏 and peace for you Joan so you can rest as well . Congratulations on doing Dougs care that’s wonderful!!you’ll have to do some canning and freezing of all your fresh produce so he can look forward to eating it come late fall and winter. ❤
Thanks for the update. It was fascinating listening to your story and hearing all the details. I’m praying Doug’s recovery goes as well as can be expected and no surprises. Joan you are a strong woman and I know you’ll give him the best care possible. Film when you can and we will be here waiting. Hugs.
A lot of tubes and equipment I would freak out too. Thank u for sharing your thoughts and life. Attitude is really important and being thankful for Dug being alive and the surgery is over. I will be praying for his recovery and no more complications. All we can do is ask God to work it all out and trust him with our lives .
So glad you’re doing good Mr. Doug. I’m with you Joan when we went through momma’s 7month journey one of us always stayed when she got hospitalized just to advocate etc. An ex worker whom does sweepstakes for a hobby always has said it only takes 1 entry to win. So glad you got tickets.
I agree with Doug, you are amazing. You two are the perfect match for each other. I'm so glad things are looking up and the big surgery is over. And I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos.
So glad everything is behind you guys. I had to have esophageal surgery and was in the thoracic unit for days and a NG tube for 3 days. That was the worst part! When they reversed my SIL it was so much easier. Doug is a rock star he's gonna do well! ❤❤
So glad Doug is home! God’s got this! Joan you definitely took your vows seriously! Savannah Bananas play our Macon Bacon team sometimes….such funny names.
So happy to know everything is going well with Doug❤ who wouldn't be emotional. You've been thru a lot! Also I'm from Hilton Head Is,SC and know all about the Bananas⚾️ how lucky Andrew is to win! It's meant to be. That'll be a fun time for the family. Thanks for sharing😊
I love you guys ❤. I cried and laughed right along with you watching this update. So glad you're home and you crack me up picking on each other's driving 😂.. hugs prayers & love continue for you all. 🙏❤
I cried watching you recount everything that happened. Brought back memories of my 4 week old grandson in NICU and my Mom with her ovarian cancer surgery which resulted with a ostomy too. You can and will absolutely rock Doug’s care. So very happy to see you guys together and at home. You two have been on my mind and in my heart this last week. Continued prayers and virtual hugs sent. ❤
Keep up the positive attitude you two. i know what you are going through as my younger sister had the same type of cancer and unfortunately she ended up with a permanent Ostomy, which she handled her fate very well and lived her life on her terms. She passed away two years ago, but with heart failure. She did everything she could and got to travel with the sisters to Hawaii a couple of times. So keep the faith and praying everything goes well.
Thanks so much Joan and Doug for this tremendous update. Your connection as a couple is so strong; you are an inspiration. Continued prayers as you both adjust to your new "temporary' normal..
Oh Dough and Joan so lovely to see you both back. Poor Dough what an ordeal and Joan a lot of stress for you and the boys. I found it so funny about You having to drive. I have been in same situation with my husband and he hates my driving😀 Keep smiling both of you🍀💪🫶❤️⭐️🤞👏🌺🙏
Hi Joan how hard it has been for you both and your family, stay positive God is taking care of you and Doug he is a lovely Man all will be ok sending you hugs xxx😊
The babes ball globetrotters sounds so so fun! I think we need a grocery haul and meal plan for cancer recovery. It’s part of your life and that’s what we are here for , y’all! We love hallelujah so so much! And just so you know I’m bawling with you! NOONE cries in my presence alone!
So glad to hear that things are slowly getting back to normal. My prayers are still with both of you AND your boys. My advice (gleaned from my father's time with an ostomy....he had a colostomy...but same dealio)......pack a back to carry with you anytime you go somewhere......those bags can leak and cut free).
So glad to finally see an update on Doug. So happy that it’s over & he’s on the mend. You both went through some tough times before, during & after surgery. Doug is such a strong man & you, Joan are a fierce warrior for your husband. The love you have for eachother shines through. Was waiting for a kiss between you both. Doug & your family are in my daily prayers. May Doug get stronger everyday. Thank you for this video & believe me, you are never boring. May God keep his hands on you all.🙏
yep, advocate advocate.. you have to watch everything from meds, to dr, to nurses and if you are there, they seem to take care of patients better. We are going through a journey with me and my hips and a long stay at hospital. We have learned all kinds of things, advocate, insurance issues. The things that we struggled with was the inconsistency of everything. happy you guys had quality care. I was there a lot alone and my care was so semi. Yes, always stay there
Bless Doug's heart, been quite the ordeal. I too am allergic to tape/adhesive, had such a bad infection come from the tape they used on me. Prayers he is healing and will soon have this whole chapter behind him.
