    Thanks for taking the time to put this up in English. I've built a mini version for my small outdoor aquarium. Just tweaking it to get more flow into my overhead sump whilst keeping it as quiet as I can. Was looking for a cheap to run pump that would also massively oxygenate the water for my goldfish. Thanks again gentlemen.

    Thank you gentlemen! Great design. Do you think that the pressure chamber design is more effective than an air stone? If so why. I am very interested. Do you have a schematic on your website on this design?. Why is it important to have the air vent “T” in the outflow line? Lot’s of question. :)

    Great video! I've made one with a 120L per minute pump, getting about 15000L/h. Would I get a better result if I split the air into 2 separate airlift pumps a 60L each, or even 3 a 40L each? Thank you

    My one improvement to this - leave 1/2 the diameter of the riser tube (2” or 50mm) at the bottom end.
    Here you cut 3-4 half circles out so that the riser sits firmly on the bottom of the pond and still “sucks” water!

    I am considering using an airlift in my aquaponics tank. My problem with your design is that my tank is much shallower (about 4' or 122 cm). Will this work if I make the 4" pipe 40" long?

  • @AlanWilliams72
    @AlanWilliams72 5 років тому

    I noticed the pipe being used is the grey pvc pipe. In the states, the most common pvc pipe is white. Only electrical conduit and/or schedule 80 PVC is grey. Is this different in the EU?

  • @larrypardi9143

    Actually very easy to understand. I'm going to try this, where can I get the print out to drill the air holes. I've been to the Dutch site so this was very good. Thank you.

      +Larry Pardi I have a prob with this paper !
      take a graph paper and make 4 rows of holes
      Offbeat of one row each verry ease to do and set him on the pipe and dril the 1mm holes

    • @larrypardi9143
      @larrypardi9143 8 років тому +1

      +Aquatechnobel Thanks again, I was able to make this sheet very easily.

    • @aquatechnobel
      @aquatechnobel  8 років тому +2

      +Larry Pardi yes I think the same, to build 7 airlift and at the same time make the video in two languages, 2h works, ease to build, ease to use, lot of flow and low consumption, another tip is to use at the outlet of the airlift small as possible length of pipe to return to the pond !
      let me now your results

  • @kathyanne3587
    @kathyanne3587 8 років тому +1

    Thank you. That was very well done. I was wondering though if you could show how the air pump connects, as that fitting does not look like the house that comes off of my air pump. And could we get the link for the hole template. Thank you

    • @larrypardi9143
      @larrypardi9143 8 років тому +1

      +Kathy Desjardins the template is pretty easy to make without the link. If you have graph paper or access to a spread sheet application. Create four columns and put a single capital 'X" on each row and alternate the X in the next column, then print it out and tape it to the 4 inch pipe and drill.

    Hi, thanks for the great video. Question: i currently run my system on pool pump,- all tubing on 50mm (inlet and outlet to filters and bubble bead filter . I REALLY want to move to the airlift system. Can I use this sytem with a reducer to keep my filters? (ie: from 110 mm to 50mm). Will the flow rate be too negatively impacted? appreciate any advice....

    Do you kow if it works for 3m high ? and how much is the flow and the power that should I have for the airpump? Do you know if improve the flow if I reduce the diameter ?
    Thank you Very Much
