I have never heard of this collaboration! This is great! I wouldn't have thought of these artists combing their talents! Don't Worry Baby is one of their songs! A lot of the music of the 60s was filled with more angst and hard topics. The Beach Boys and a few others balanced it out with more fun, laid-back songs. They are a worthy rabbit hole to dive into.
This is a beautiful duet. My favourite Beach Boy song, elevated to a even more glorious version. Lorrie's vocals are magical combined with the wonderful vocals by The Beach Boys. Such a masterpiece. Lorrie Morgan singing lead was Brian Wilson's idea. Lorrie thought he was joking. But Wilson convinced her. Wilson was right again. Perfect blend of voices. And Lorrie was great.

I'm a huge Beach Boys fan & there are not that many opportunities to view studio footage of them through the years. The DVD (or UA-cam clips) of their collaboration album Stars & Stripes (that this song is from) is worth watching. It was not one of their best selling albums, but you can tell it was fun for the various country artists, as well as The Beach Boys. Not only is the classic Beach Boys music great, but to me, any of their studio footage is amazing... to see them back together in their element is great. My favorite part of the whole video is when Mike tries to show Willie Nelson how to sing "Warmth Of The Sun." 😂 (Every time I see it, I think, "Dude, Willie Nelson sang with Dionne Warwick on We Are The World, I think he can figure it out!"😂) Unfortunately, by the time they made Stars & Stripes, Dennis had already passed away, but Carl was still alive then. I love seeing Brian, Carl, & the boys together, recreating their signature harmonies.

They also have a song named "Salt Lake City", the capital of Utah. A lot of music recording was done in Utah, where stereophonic recording was invented, and the car stereo also.

Sadly he had some mental problems but he's still with us. Both his brothers have passed away. It will be a very sad day when he leaves us. I'm an old man, and these days I tear up when I listen to the Beach Boys.

Hello. Been a subscriber for a while and have been closely following the country music reactions. To that end, you were asking for some Oak Ridge Boys songs with vids having more than lyrics. I've found one that is a LIVE performance from back in the late 80s. The video and audio quality are exceptional for that era. It's two songs, in concert, running about 7 minutes total. I absolutely love this collab. Seems like The Beach Boys like to collab with country artists. They also did a country Christmas song with Collin Raye.
On that album, I think Doug Supernaw also does a great job on "Long Tall Texan", Collin Raye on "Sloop John B." and Sawyer Brown with "I Get Around".
