It's bad to drive with epc on if the problem is the fuel /ignition system. Might consume more fuel in limp-home-mode. EPC could be also because of other reasons and those may be easier to delay.
Thank you will try this and look at the throttle body closely. In the past I replaced an ignition coil after OBD2 error msg pointed to cylinder 4 which also worked.
My VW polo is doing the same, but when I turn off the key then restart the EPC light disappears only to come back after a few days, but will do what you have just taught me today, thanks a lot
Hi my polo blm does not rev at all because of that epc light not coming off,ive checked throttle body, crank sensor you named them but no changes,we also tried to change the paddle and still not revving
Hello dear, my car lights EPC after i start driving if i press on fuel on the level 1-2-3 gear in the morning, but it does not get crazy with the RPM it only make the car heavier, then when i switch off and switch on its gone and never get back if the the car temperature is on its normal, so should i do what you did here?
Your mechanic might be right but you could try this in your car too. The steps I do should work for your car too. The difference will be the throttle body connector. Once you find it try the video steps and also to be extra careful, buy some carb spray and with the throttle body open - no air filter, wipe the outside and inside of the throttle body with a lint free cloth or paper towels first if it's really black and dirty inside. Then start the car and while idling, spray Carb spray only into the throttle body from about 20 cm and in very short bursts 1/4 second - a quarter of a srcond - as short as you can. The engine will be revving up when you spray but if you spray too much it will stall the engine. Best is to let your mechanic fix it though.
Thank you so much for this, the video helped however this EPC keeps on coming back and does not accelerate and i continuously have to do this. How can this be fixed completely?
Same with mine. After accelerating higher it shows the epc warning and loss of power. The acceleration feels like fishbites like its irregular acceleration
@@heisenberg6442 I'm having exactly the same on my Audi A4 2014. I've taken it to 3 different mechanics, who claim to have experience on these cars, but none have fixed. All they do is charging me for a scan (eventhough I already have a scan report from previous mechanics), and for parts that are not really solving the problem. Lambda/oxygen sensor 1 & 2 replaced, but I'm still having the problem. I genuinely believe that it has something to do with the throttle body, it probably needs cleaning, but those "mechanics" just won't do it because it doesn't show throttle body issue on the scan. I guess I'm just gonna have to save up and take it to Audi themselves. I'm so frustrated right now. 😠
@@Alberto-qf7zh I changed the battery on mine and it still gives the same issue. Today I went and saw a local mechanic and he told me that one of the coil packs needs replacement. So he replaced it. Have'nt got to test the car out yet, I'll do it later and let you know if it fixed the problem

@@mohamedalshishani3731 if you can, try the steps in the video.
Can i do the same in polo tsi 2020?
It's worth trying but I don't know if you can access the throttle body easily on that car.
If you still have warranty, take it to them to fix it.
inhonho estou com esse problema amigo, vou fazer isso para ver si resolve. Obg my friend. Estou em UK tmj

It’s because the temperature in Bombay is effecting it .

Hi I cannot find it on a polo fromm 2001 😂 someone can help
Thanks!
But mane is doing this all the time eash 😢
Usually it`s not that easy! You need to remove the engine plastic cover , the throtlle body also and clean it! 😉
Next time you get the epc light, try it as you see it in the video and update.
