You finally took the headnet off, but that's where you ended the test video. You should have shown us another ten minutes with only the Thermocell for protection. I'm not convinced this thing is totally effective.
I wish my thermacell units would work as good as yours! I have 2 MR450 and tried them many times but they do not do as good as yours, actually there is no difference on or off. I used a good bug spray with deet and that works well.
@@jeanroy8283 weird I see alot of awesome reviews on them maybe yours was defective 😂 idk I'm looking at getting a few for around my place. If it doesn't work I will return it back to my local Bass pro.
Does the Zone Check light tell you if the butane tank runs out? I currently have the MR300 but it bugs me I can't tell if the tank runs out. I'm thinking about returning it and get the MR450. Also how long does the battery last?
As far as I can tell, all the light does is indicate if the plate is hot enough. I've been looking for information on what exactly this 'zonecheck' feature does, since it doesn't say anywhere on the the Thermacell website, and this video actually provides more information than anywhere else. It seems it's just a temperature sensor connected to a light. So I suppose it indirectly will tell you when the fuel tank is empty since it will stop burning and the plate will cool down. But you can also just check the flame indicator hole, and you can see how full the tank is by looking through the back of the device, there is a slot specifically for checking the butane level. This is true of the older MR300 model as well. The main advantage and only reason I would consider the MR450 is that apparently the grill was redesigned to allow better airflow in the vertical position, so that this works better when clipped to your body or otherwise vertical. The older model works best when laid horizontally (but I'm guessing that's probably true of the MR450 also).
Have you used a thermacell product before?
Using it right now it's amazing
Great video, I like when they are actually using the product and not talk and talk for 30 minutes.
This is about the best product demo ever! I was looking to use mine for the first time for my porch, I feel very comforted watching your litmus test!
Damn, that's impressive. Awesome footage of the mosquito hoard as well. Now that's real world testing that I trust.
I don't f around
Good video! I did not know you can drink through the bug net. Why is the need for a 2032 battery?
I've just purchased 2 of these for gardening. Thank you. 🇨🇦🕊️

OK...
@@beyondvso6519 ROLL MY EAYES AT THE DISBELIEVER,,,LOL
is it worth buying the 450 over the 300 outside of the added light coming on?
Best MR450 review ! and good test !!
Thank you for great information that the company who builds this product does not offer itself. Shame on them, Kudos for you. 👍
I wish I would of seen this before I bought mine somewhere else a year ago. Tried the link and SG don't have any refill kits available. Bummer.
How do you put the clip on
do u recommend ?..or nah
I work for Thermacell and can honestly tell you..these really work!
You should have your marketing person in my inbox
Can I use it indoor for my hone office while I have open doors for my dogs coming in and out?
I would say something I always do, is start mine before I head out to the woods for at least 10 minutes.
Same. I find it works great after 15 minutes warm up time.

Did you wait the 30 mins?
@@kingdon9690 Yep, let them on for hours, no wind, new pads, butane full and flame is on but.....tons of mosquitoes!

@@kingdon9690 did you end u getting some? If so how did they work?
@@haydenjohnson5085 I got one last year and it works great, haven't used it this year yet though
Would this product work if it was clipped on while walking around
I did this all week in camp, yes, not effective when running though
Can it be used inside the tent or is it for external use only?
I wouldn’t use it in the tent it can be fairly irritating to any mucosa membrane for extended exposure. Buy a better tent
What good in the indicator light?
I found no value in it, I removed the battery.
The only thing I could think is powering it up before going out side.
@@VSO_Gun_Channel the light could spook game off.
Great video! Thanks for the Instagram heads up on the timelapse, very cool to see. What rifle were you carrying on the hunt?
Henry All-weather 45-70. Ill have an update video coming from the trip and how our crew did.
The VSO Gun Channel, we need a different provider than you know who tube!!!!!
What does the zone light do?
I'm pretty sure it's just a temperature sensor, indicating that the hot plate is at optimum temperature
Great video!!
Thumbs up for the review.! thanks

@@VSO_Gun_Channel I was sarcastic first though you cant take that away from me!! Just kidding ha ha!!
hmmm, so a device that works?! :)
Who really knows for sure because mosquito's are different all over like some do not bite that much and some will carry you away.
Meh. A cheap mosquito coil does a better job.
