【Synopsis】In ancient times, humans mixed with deities and demons, the world consisted of Shennong, Xuanyuan and Gaoxin. Wandering in Dahuang, Jiu Yao from Gaoxin lost her identity and appearance. She settled in Qingshui Town and renamed as Wen Xiaoliu. The Prince Qiang Xuan of Xuanyuan was Xiaoliu’s cousin. To find Xiaoliu, he travelled around Dahuang and came to Qingshui Town. In Qingshui Town, Xiaoliu saved Tushan Jing in danger and fell in love with him. Xiang Liu and Xiaoliu appreciated each other and became confidants. After a few twists and turns, Qiang Xuan and Xiaoliu eventually recognized each other. After recovering her identity, Xiaoliu helped Qiang Xuan bring the whole world under his rule and retired from the rivers and lakes. The thoughtless man puts all his energy into governing the country, because he knows that as long as the world is at peace, his little boy will be able to be happy and healthy.

Best thing ever! I would fast forward just to see Tan Jianci’s parts, then found this!!! He is amazing!! Ive never truly fell in love with a character till Xiang Liu. Ive loved a lot of characters because they are amazing actors who play their parts perfectly . However, for me personally, I’ve never had anyone make me fall completely in love because they brought so much more depth of heart to a character on the screen which only truly imagination typically brings. Thank you Tan Jianci!! ❤❤❤❤❤

To me, Xiang Liu is the best option. I know that at the beginning he was rude but he is actually a demon and it’s his nature. So, when he fell in love with her that means he went against his nature! That big is his love. 💕
Besides if she really is a daughter of demon chi Chen they are more meant to be together than any other couples cause only he can protect her very well in that case .

ALL THE ACTORS PERFORMED WELL BUT STILL TAN JIANCI AS XIANGLIU OUTSHINED THEM ALL. I REALLY THINK THAT HIS ROLE AS XIANGLIU WITH HIS TERRIFIC ACTING HAS CATAPULTED HIM INTO SUPERSTARDOM IN DRAMALAND. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME WATCHING HIM AND I WOULD SAY THAT AM TRULY INPRESSED AND NOW AM A BIG FAN. MORE DRAMAS TAN JIANCI AND MORE SUCCESS!

孤獨，冷酷又孑然一身的相柳卻有著一顆忠肝義膽和熱烈地愛著小夭的心是多麼可貴可愛！檀健次通過他出色的眼神戲和肢體動作完美塑造相柳~~句句不說愛但處處都是愛！极贊💖👑👏！我沒有看過原著但劇集第一季有看完夭柳部份也重看了兩遍。開始小夭和相柳好像互有意向，但很快殺出個璟然後小夭好像移情了，但其實她是掩飾吧！因為她惧“九頭妖”，後來恢復身份因為立場對立更不可能她那麼愛她的玹哥哥。中間我也以為小夭愛璟，是去到第34集相柳找小夭小夭背對他想起“相柳沒有白白救你...”時眼泛淚光，我覺得小夭對相柳的愛是藏得很深！還有相柳回清水鎮向小夭告別一幕，小夭希望他一直是防風邶（不只一次,其實這也是表白只是說得比較隱晦），然後是望著他離去那依依不舍的眼神都是証明！至於與其說相柳是為愛成全我更覺得他是想小夭得到最好的！他覺得自己背付太多責任太大,他不想成全那是他用心頭血救回來的心上人但他沒得選擇（相柳很慘的😢）！但沒有相柳的人間對小夭也是一種折磨啊！那是無盡的思念！❤️❤️❤️
I really love how Tan Jianci plays Xiang Liu...after he saved her life in the sea, I really thought she'd end up with him! Actually, when he sacrificed himself to lure the ❤bug, that was originally meant for him out for him, out of Cang Xuan and from that point on be connected to her as long as they both shall live, really says a lot about how he TRULY FEELS ABOUT HER. I think was someone also dear to her mother and that's all I'm going to say bc these Cdrsmas are not only addictive but very unpredictable as well.
Hope these two will end up together in season 2 ❤ he really deserves her

It's funny as we have context she doesn't have. When she's teasing him to take the poisonous bug, he knows exactly what it is and what it's for. It's for lovers, to bring them closer, they can feel what each other is feeling, be it pain, sadness or pleasure.
She's all like 'please take the bug Xianggg Liuuuuuu', take my love bug..put it inside your body, pleaaaase ..please! Do you love me huh, do you??
Because he knows the true ramifications and the intent of the bugs, he nearly sinks through the ground.
She's massively teasing, but doesn't fully grasp the extent- she's begging him for his heart, for him to love her... and he's like 'OMG.. what the hell!!!'.
Her asking him if he's compatible, basically is asking him, do you love me? You love me don't you?
It's funny knowing the whole context and why he melts when she bats her lashes like that.
He's completely disarmed by her, he never stood a chance and now she's doing THIS *flails arms about* and the warnings of caution from his stepdad are all out the window- no their atop Chubby having the ride of their life... to never come back!
It's so funny, cause although he loves her he never virtue signals with it, or uses it against her.
He just secretly works behind the scenes and all other men in her life are too petty and jealous to ever tell her the true extent.
I hope she isn't stupid and that it does turned out that she did know, she did see..she always saw..
EVEN DADDY knew who she kept in her mirror of never forgetting, there was only 1 old 9 heads in there - XL also always knew he was in there. He knew she was TERRIFIED of cementing and realising her feelings for him in the light of day- so he showed her great mercies each time they came close.
The demon of no mercies was in the end most merciful.
She never begged him to love her. Deep down she didn't even see his LOVE for her..!!!!!!.
According to her, they were like "trading partners". The besties!!!

He could not be her full-time devoted partner. She knew it.
On top of that, from the start, her heart truly belonged only to Jing, regardless of Jing's forced commitment to his clan....and Xiang Liu knew it.
You will see how both guys, Jing and Xiang Liu, even "cooperated together" to protect her.
I am so hooked on this series that I even read the novel.
This is the only time ever, I wish to have two Xiao Yaos!

@@Marguerite-wu3nw She had no idea of the ramifications of what she was asking for, is what I meant. She didn't know she was asking for his heart, that the recipient of the bug has to give their heart. Him knowing what the bugs are, he knew and that's why he looked funny ask she was talking about the potential of him doing her this favour.
We see towards the end of season 1 that she does indeed love him, but he never steps forward. He knows after all what she's feeling as she's feeling it. He knows her terror of the possibility of letting him in and he knows he can't be the one who stays, he has an army to die with and die for, he lives on borrowed time and as such he is in no way a man to be in any girls heart.
She does love him by that point, because she asks her granddad the King if it's OK if her future husband is his enemy. Her dad, or her stepdad the other King also calls her on who's image she's kept in her mirror. Either of them have said she should go with her own wishes, grandad simply said that it's going to be near impossible to find such a -lack of better word door mat of a man- who will have absolutely no ambition but her. It's easier to unify the world and rule it, than finding such a man.
I think that's why Jing is such a one dimensional character, as he gave up the world largely when she saved him. But he also lets others run his life for him - grandma and false pregnancy accusations. In the book he's supposedly impotent or unable to father children.
The only reason he's suitable in spite of all the nonsense he brings to the table, is because he will give up everything for her.
XL realises he has to teach her, arm her and make her capable of taking care of herself and leave her with someone who stays- as he cannot be that monster for her.

The character development of Xiang liu from a vicious beast who only knows how to kill to a person who yarns for companionship and love is very nicely shown here. Xiao Yao's influence made him realize he could also be a person.. a normal person.. too bad no matter how much Xiao Yao persuaded him to leave that stupid general.. he didn't listen. His loyalty towards his saviour Gen. Huan jiang was undying. So He lost his love XY forever. Rather, he chose loyalty and gratitude over love, unlike Jing, who gave up everything to be with the one he loves.
Unforgettable ephemeral character...Love You Forever is the perfect title.
@xkirax2997 i think the background story of his undying loyalty towards the Gen should be given some emphasis, or the reason why he is so dead set on his duty is not well understood. It's very clear that he's treated like a beast and used as an assassin by the Gen. Or his ppls, explaining why he's so abusive at 1st. Then why? Why was he so into that stupid Gen!?
Xiang Liu is like Xiao Yao in that way, endlesslt loyal to family. Even if they loved each other, they would not give up family for that love.
@smg1942 but cang xuan did love xiao yao, which is clear. He did use her to gain support and political advantages to fulfil his ambition that xiao yao knows and has done them willingly.. she can choose to say no.. but here, that Gen, if really cared for his soldiers or xiang liu, he won't force them to fight .. rather, with negotiations, they could have lived happily. After getting Chengrong peak, there is no reason for them to initiate a direct battle and commit suicide. I can't understand.. Why do they have to fight to death? What is the cause that is driving them.. not them.. that crazy Gen.?! Another thing is, I don't think that xiang liu is loved and cared by that Gen. If so, then he won't be that ruthless, lonely until he met Xiao lu. I think he is only used as a killing machine by his adopted crazy father.
Jing giving up everything for love doesn't diminish his character in any way possible. Especially when none of his family care about him enough in the first place. I would do it in a heartbeat if I knew I could be with someone who is loyal and loves like Xiao Yao. He can always take any of his ppl who would follow him along. Jing's problem is that he's a timid yes man who isn't bold enough to be a little reckless in his decision making from time to time. At least for me that was his problem bc I fully backed him until he turned out to be too timid. Xiang liu is my favorite character bc he is the most interesting character besides Xiao Yao. I just think it's irresponsible to romanticize his relationship with Xiao Yao.

Yep..... WE are ALL pretty broken, in this world. I didn't enjoy watching the abuse being enacted on this stage. I cried , actually. ...But sometimes we were delighted to consider jelly fish as lamps...star shaped flowers lighting the seas....walking on water...taking the burden of another's heart onto your own... holding another while the mystery of life ends... having another's back....speaking true.... Many things to consider with this story.

They are the best!:) And their relationship is not abusive, it started as one but it's constantly evolving, and evolving into something beautiful. And it's breathtaking to watch, every second of it! I know the Fox guy is a wonderful soul, truly kind and noble, but I can't help falling asleep at his scenes with Xiao Yao, they are just sooo boring.😢
meanwhile she is willing and enjoying the entire time. she is just as unhinged as him. one time she was on top him wanting to slap him 40 times lmoof. read the novel. she is not a dumb or weak women to blindly get into abuse. she is the one always provoke him, she enjoys his company. Xiang liu as a demon always give people a choice. And Xinag Liu never gave her false promises. If you watch carefully all he does is what she tells him. He plays by the rules. Because as a demon he does not have normal human morals, he just think and act on different grounds. By the end of season 2 you will understand Xiang Liu is the most human like among them all despite being a demon.

It's a shame that Chinese dramas aren't more popular in the West like anime and Korean dramas. This drama is truly one of the better cdramas to have aired in the past couple of years. It definitely seems as if the Chinese entertainment industry (c-dramaland) is starting to care more about good storytelling and production value more than just throwing dramas together fast for an easy cash grab. Just when things start to get better ppl lose interest, i don't get it.

I heard that the end will be tearful. This is the downside of Chinese dramas. If you have watch a lot enough Chinese drama, you will see that truth.

По книге,у нее жучок этот был внутри давно,только мальчик был в орехе,которого она подготовила специально не осознавая того,что это за жук,для СяньЛю.поэтому выбор партнера был на подсознательном уровне у нее.
