Great video, thank you for sharing. This shrub is also excellent for pollinators; I've seen it attracting loads of bumblebees, honeybees and all sorts of other invertebrates (north London). Its dense, thorny foliage also makes it an attractive choice for nesting birds such as long-tailed tit and song thrush; have noted both species nesting in it this spring.
Yes indeed, it is a favorite of the bees here too when in bloom. Good to hear about the birds, thanks for the comments, and thanks for watching!

I saw this bush in a park and was amazed. It has better defense than barbed wire and keeps its leaves throughout winter, So I propagated some cuttings. One cutting made it and now I have my own bush but never knew what the hell it was until now (well a friend photo/googled it on her phone app). It has everything, shiny evergreen leaves, flowers, berries and works as a screen and a great defense whilst looking quite innocuous
Well, you know what they say, "One man's trash is another's treasure." Appreciate your weighing in, I bet if I had to remove one I might have a more negative opinion too! Good luck dealing with the remains and thanks for watching!

Appreciate your info...😊
Happy to hear, thanks for watching!
This plant is horrible; ugly and filled with large thorns. Spent hours removing this and now need to figure out how to dispose of it.
