If someone watching Nihal for the first time, there is no chance they would think he wins it by seeing that beginning game, but Nihal always shows his class in end game and have a last laugh always!
Nihal is the hardest player to beat in endgame. Harika was so ahead in beginning especially in time & development but when the end comes there is no one better than nihal to finish it off & play insanely fast at that too.

For those of you who find it confusing.......The easiest way to know the result is ,whoever takes out their hand first for a handshake has lost
Actually, whoever stops the clock before mate wins.
And in some cases, like this one. The one giving advise at the end, is the winner..Love it when they show concern..
In addition, the one resigning takes hand when his time is running, to offer a draw you would make a move while offering a draw

@@lalappanlolappan2605 No, the one who stops the clock resigns. You can also get to know from placement of pieces after the match. If both the kings are placed on white squares then white wins and same goes with black. If on opposite coloured squares, then it's a draw.
The best thing is when the match ends and both of them discusses the game as well as keeping the squares one another, showing respect ✨
I think their comments should also be included.
I think nihal was explaining what he did at last , because he did the last 2-3 moves very quickly 😅😅😅😅

Guys , if after the game the players put both kings on Dark squares means , Black wins , if both kings are placed on light squares means white wins , if black king is on dark and white is on Light square means Draw.

at 7:14 , why Bg1 is played from white? was there any logic or threat behind it? or was it just a random move to save the bishop?
The bishop will be lost if she didn't move it(rook rakes c5) somewhere else there's lots of safe squares it can go to but she just chose Bg1(idk the reason but maybe she's running out of time and played random move like that)

This Rapid, blitz games are happening so often these days and GMs all over the globe plays them to win 8 to 10K dollars I feel only 1 or 2 players of 15-25 age group will become great legendary classical players that's 2800 plus rating Alireza is one of them others seem happy with fast chess
