சூர்யாவுக்குத் திருமணம் நடக்கிறது. எப்பேற்பட்ட திருமணம்? சுயமரியாதைத் திருமணம். கேப்டன் கோபிநாத்தின் திருமணம் முறைப்படி எவ்வித சிறு பிசிறுமில்லாமல் ஐயங்கார் முறை திருமணம்! தன் திருமணம் பற்றி கேப்டன் கோபிநாத்தே அவரது சுயசரிதையில் எழுதி இருக்கிறார். ஆனால் திரைப்படத்தில் மணமகன் கருப்புச் சட்டை அணிந்து சுயமரியாதைத் திருமணம். சூர்யா திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ளும் பெண் எந்த ஜாதி? சுயஜாதியா அல்லது வேறு ஜாதியா? ஊர் மக்கள் அனைவரும் சூர்யா ஆரம்பிக்கும் ஒரு தொழிலுக்குப் பணத்தைக் கொட்டி அனுப்புகிறார்களே, அவர்கள் அனைவரும் என்ன ஜாதி? இவை அனைத்தையும் சாய்ஸில் விட்ட இயக்குநருக்கு, பிராமணர்களை உயர்வாகக் காட்டிவிடவே கூடாது என்பது மட்டும் தீர்மானமாக இருந்திருக்கிறது. அதே சமயம், அப்துல் கலாமைக் காட்டுவதில் ஆர்வமாக இருந்திருக்கிறார்கள். அப்துல் கலாமைப் பார்த்து இப்படி கோபிநாத் புலம்பினாரா என்பதற்கு ஆதாரம் இருப்பதாகத் தெரியவில்லை. ஒருவேளை இந்தப் படக்குழுவிடம் அவரோ அல்லது அவரைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களோ சொல்லி இருக்கக்கூடும். கோபிநாத் அவரது சுயசரிதையில் இப்படிச் சொல்லியது போலத் தெரியவில்லை. அப்துல் கலாம் கேப்டன் கோபிநாத்தின் புத்தகத்துக்கு முன்னுரை எழுதி இருக்கிறார் என்பது மட்டுமே எனக்குத் தெரியும். உண்மையை வெட்டி அல்லது மாற்றி, எப்படி இல்லாத ஒன்றைப் புகுத்துகிறார்கள் பாருங்கள். ஏன் இப்படிச் செய்கிறார்கள் என்பதன் பின்னே இருக்கிறது, தமிழ்த் திரைப்பட உலகம் போகும் பாதை.
