Had a EP3 for 5 years what an amazing car, swapped it for a FN2 in 2007 worst decision I ever made, not so much slower, just not as much fun, plus I wanted to set the dashboard on fire because it rattled and squeaked that much. A mate had a DC5 and wow what a car, them were the days.
To me it looks that this particular FN2 seems really slow... I've owned both at the same tame not only once and I know that FN2 have no problem reaching 240km/h as the EP3... Try another one.
@@anonymous-kj6sn no it isn't, they are just as fast, fn also has a bit more torque making up for the extra weight, fn2 is also alot faster on track than the ep3, and having driven both of them a couple of times I can tell the fn2 feels alot faster and is imo also more fun to drive
Jes Think Too. Or the False Intake. I had The TSS Air intake. and Sold him because he only Become warm Air from the Engine. the intake goes behind the Engine in the Fn2.... With normal Airsystem is 235 240 no Problem. With the Tss air intake end it an 225 and 100 to 200 is 6 Secons Slower with The Tss intake...
That is bullshit he obviously got some massive mods there cause that ain't close that's armageddon. There is nothing in it between the 2 stock in real life . Stig thought it was good.
Had an EP3 from new for 9 yrs then had a Champ White FN2 for just over 3 yrs.. that in itself tells you something.. Much preferred the EP3.. It's much more of a raw car than the FN2.. The EP3 is way lighter.. has drive-by wire, independent suspension.. looks better, the crossover into vetec is much more savage.. On the whole, the EP3 has all the making to be a track car.. I look at the FN2 as a grown up watered down diluted Type R.. The only thing I like about the FN2 is the space age dash, and the seats.. end of!!
J Boi as someone who owned both I highly disagree with you. Yes ep3 is more raw but that’s about it, fn2 has more features, it’s safer, interior is way better place to be, exterior is still modern unlike ep3, shorter gearing, stiffer chasie and it’s more stable at higher speeds....different opinions. but I agree with you dashboard rattles my cw fn2 started to have rattles at 60+kmh

FN2 is obviously a worse car than EP3. It's heavier, has worse rear suspension, is less responsive and lazier on track. The only thing which is better is shorter main drive in FN2.

His next video clears it up the ep3 on the apparent dyno running less bhp revs out at 8200rmp the fn2 on the dyno revs under 800rpm so ep3 got mods. Also weight fn2 is 1260kg 50kg heavier that's it. This is a blag
It’s clear that the ep3 is modded so why not just state that it is. And your stats are wrong, the weight of both car and the fn2 doesn’t make peak power at 8,300 rpm, it doesn’t even rev that high in stock form.
This fn2 has on the dyno 180hp....i have the 2 cars, a full stock ep3 on the dyno 202hp 1220kg and a full stock fn2 on the dyno 224hp 1350kg....2 gear at 60km/h to 220km/h....it's the same, nek nek.
Damn why so much more hp on the fn2? BTW I have an ep3 full stock it gave 201hp on dyno and a friend also full stock didn't go to dyno but he pulls away from me. Why some of the k20 cars have more hp than others? I don't get it. I heard they used jdm parts on some of them...

It don't matter trust me both the same in straight line speed, I've owned ep3 I've now got an fn2 , had them both on the track and they are neck and neck 👍👍, plus the fn2 is a much better ride

Depois de vários testes e comparativos posso afirmar que infelizmente esse FN2 não representou como deve ser o andamento de um FN2 de origem. Isto apesar das ligeiras alterações que tinha. 100-160 em 10 segundos quando um FN2 original em bom estado fica na casa dos 9… 100-200 em cerca de 25 segundos quando um FN2 original fica na casa dos 21… Enfim.

I think the EP3 Type-R is the last good lookin civic hatchback, the fd2 mugen rr sedan, is possiblely the best civic of all but the fn2 to date are all hideous looking, great engines but horrible lookin cars.
£600 1.8t with generic £100 map would walk both these cars. I know I've bet both without issue. 2.0 tdi puts up more of a fight. Turbo that k20 and it's hole different thing
I just sold my fn2 for this reason and got a ep3 both cars or standard apart from cat back exhausts. And the ep3 is faster off the line not buy that much tho 🤣🤣🤣🤣
