Writing down what you did is great! 🍵 Once the organizer is done, to maintain what she did - if you get something new, get rid of something old. One in, one out. God bless you ♥ 😊
Started the day with the hubs by going for our yearly eye exams. All good, no need for new glasses for either of us. Came home, did a few farm chores and then cut my husband's hair. Made a big pot of cheesy potato soup, which will last for a few days. Weather rainy and cold here so soup is good. Did stop at the Dollar General to pick up a few last minute stocking stuffers/gift basket. Got out my adult paint-by-numbers and started a new canvas. I really enjoy this as it helps pass the time in the evenings and keeps me awake and not wanting to go to bed at 6:30 pm. I put on the "Fireplace" on the TV and listen to an audiobook. Hiring an organization specialist is a great gift to yourself. Great idea to make a list of daily accomplishments.
That is a GREAT idea to hire some organizer’s. It’s a wonderful Christmas present to give to yourself. Better than a vacation in my opinion. You’ll have your home all set up to enjoy and not have to keep worrying about when you’ll have the energy to get those task done. Some people have people come and clean every week or so, you need help in other ways. The price is right!Good luck with all that. I hope it works out for you. I’ll be moving in a couple months. I may have to hire a couple men to help move some furniture.
I didn't do too much today. I stayed home and did a load of laundry. I only made homemade cookies one time, with my hubby's help. It was a favorite recipe that his mom used to make... Sand Tarts... that was the name of the cookie. Take care Ellen...good luck with the organizer. Enjoy a relaxing evening. Oh, and nice Aldi haul!! 😊
@@PamMorris-w1y it was more expensive but I enjoyed using the instacart app to just have everything delivered to my door. So much easier just to put things away instead of hauling it in the house.
Hiring a professional organizer is a good idea especially when things become to heavy for us getting older. Your Christmas cookies selection looks yummy. Thanks for sharing with us. Blessings.
Tea Tuesday! I am sipping Organic Tulsi tea and munching butter cookies. The wind is still wild but not as scary as the overnight wind which I thought would remove my roof like in 11/18. I think that is a good price for an organizer. Bet you will get some good tips and learn how to take stress out of organizational tasks. I actually like to organize but had to learn how to pace myself instead of trying to zip thru and burn out in one day. Still learning. Oh..glad you tried the accomplishment list. It will give you an idea of how many things you truly do which will probably astonish you. Sometimes I give myself a random gold star.. .my gold star days are when I surprise myself by going above & beyond. 😁 I never give myself a frown sticker or any thing negative because it is not about how much I do it is about doing what inspires me for the day and gives me joy in the process even if doesn't come until the end of it. 😂 A to-do list tells me what I didn't do and that I failed. My reminders are like an appointment or something not to neglect like 'get gas in my car'. Calendar stuff. I am trying to remember if you got your Bandit mug around Christmas time? Such a cute one. I will be looking forward to hearing about your meeting with the organizer. Great way to begin the New Year. 😊🎉
@@dianabythebeach I'm looking forward to getting the basement back in order. The mass of the mice the bathroom pipe leak and the moving around of all the bedroom stuff is way past my ability to put everything back together. All of that happening at once was a disaster. The Bandit mug was way too big to drink out of but it makes a great little planter for a faux succulent. Upward and onward with my accomplishment list 😁👍❤️
I'm looking forward to the organizers and hopefully we can make a lot of progress while they're here. That would be so helpful and take a lot of stress off my plate.
Definitely sounds like a good way to go with getting an organiser to help you, you deserve to treat yourself. How's Chloe today ? ❤❤❤ those christmas treats looks delicious 😊
i cleaned up more leaves today cleaned up the garage cleaned up our laundry room for the delivery of our new washer i also moved a love seat out of my basement and a coffee table that was my disabled sister and she is selling it she moved to florida and i’m stuck selling her furniture to get out of our finished basement . i’m having Christmas Day dinner i will be cooking all day that day . then i do a New Year’s eve Party too! then onto January my bday month and im going to rest and relax we will take a trip .
Hey 👋🏻 Ellen , just catching up on your videos. Yes it’s very gratifying checking things off a list that have been completed. I do that …I make a list, sometimes daily sometimes weekly and then check things off and it does feel good ! Great idea and great price on the organizer. Let me know how you like her. Might hire her to tackle my photos!!
@@DeborahNelsen-xd6ys the organizer stop by today she seems very nice. I'm hiring her she's coming on January 10th for the day. The whole day will cost me $750. She also works by the half day.
The done list is a good idea. But, I don't think it will replace my to-do list. I have ADHD. And my mind will be all over the place instead of thinking of the things that need to be done.

It's much more positive than making a to-do list with many of the tasks left undone at the end of the day

Keeping a short list of must do tasks helps too, as long as it isn't so long that it can't be accomplished.
We have the same taste in cookies...
I'll give the leftover cookies to the family to take home and keep a few for myself to have with tea or coffee
Hang out washing today take rubbish out bake fish cook rice microwave vegies
Sounds like a good healthy dinner
