20:00 I blame coaching on recurring issues or if a whole unit is screwing up. If one player jumps offsides, that is on him. If multiple players jump offsides throughout the game, especially if it continues from game to game, it is now a coaching issue. If one lineman cannot pass block, that is on him. If the whole entire line cannot sustain a pass block, that is on coaching. All that being said, I think Shane Waldron is doing a better job than what everyone think he is doing. The passing scheme actually looks pretty decent (shotgun runs need to be reduced though). There just isn't a whole lot an OC can do, in a game, when the lineman cannot sustain any blocks and they have an inconsistent, rookie QB. Akiem 'Literal Bear' Hicks is easily my favorite Bear DLman. Andrew Billings is slowly pushing himself in that conversation for me. He is so fun to watch.
I just think that mental pressure for an offense starting back on their 10 yard line, opposed to starting at the 25 or 30 is so night and day. When Stafford needs to go 90 yards instead of 60 to win, it’s so different. I love how Tory is playing like he’s back at Iowa, strategic punting that is directly impacting winning games
tbh sheep always blame the coaches first , cause they like the players alot, so most times they cant do no wrong and its easy, like if anyone have ever played sports, the staff aren't on the field, like its very easy, tho IF the overall plan, or personnel on pitch is wrong all the time, thats different ,so until its playoff sor not, then they *players* get under the buss also.
The defense played well. Two turnovers, pretty much supplied the offense with a td and if you’re holding the other team to fg’s then the drives don’t hold much weight. They played a big part in the win. Look what the rams did to the 49ers defense. They were substantially better than that. Good complementary football. Finally we looked like a normal competent football team. Great win!
Great analysis as always! Thought is was worth mentioning that the Bear offense really started to click in the 2nd half when they went up tempo or no huddle . It seems as if Caleb likes that fast flow. Also, Tremaine Edmunds was non-existant in this game as he often is. The better player is Jack Sanborn but with T.E making 18 million per, poor Jack will forever be relegated to about 10 plays per game.
This game was a joke you don’t draft a QB like Caleb to throw the ball only 23 times. He needs to be throwing 37-40 times a game or he is going to be just like all the other QB’s the Bears have had which is babying them & not allowing them to learn by there mistakes. Eberflus needs to go because he’s neutering Caleb with his dumbass 200 bullshit he’s a rookie let him learn. If y’all as a fanbase wanted to win and don’t care about developing a young QB y’all should’ve been pounding the table for the Bears to sign Cousins instead of drafting Caleb.
@@irish6783Yea he’s a QB that was drafted #1 overall. Again he can’t develop throwing the ball 20-25 times a game he needs to throw 37-40 times a game he needs in game live reps to learn what he can and can’t do in the NFL he also needs to be in a rhythm. Can’t be neutering Caleb and that’s all on Flus being a conservative head coach and it shows with his defense and forcing Waldron to be less aggressive because that’s exactly what is wrong with the offense.
@@joesutherland9354 why does an arbitrary number determine development? He was 8-9 against the blitz with a touchdown. That’s development. Next week he might throw 30 times. A “pitch count” is silly
@@irish6783 It matters because 23 throws in a game is not enough reps for a rookie QB the Bears have done this same dumb old song and dance for its entire existence and yet to develop a franchise QB it doesn’t work. It’s time to change the way the fanbase thinks and stop saying let’s play “Bears football” it doesn’t equate to consistently winning. Caleb should be throwing as much as CJ Stroud did last year he shouldn’t be throwing the ball as little as Fields did last year and by that I mean attempts. If you don’t allow your rookie QB to throw that much he doesn’t learn and hides his flaws and he can’t work through them this season it’s why Trubisky and Fields busted. It’s time to play football like it’s 2024 not the 1980’s anymore with this run first mentality and only pass in obvious passing downs.
Guys....we need to get Caleb a coach the second the seasons ends. We did not take this man to take check downs. I AM SORRY that this is a comfortable topic, but this guy can't hit anything past 10 yards consistently.
uh, the coaches want to win and needed to go to screen and short quick passing attack to be able to do so with a QB who is clueless if his first read isn't there. Its pretty obvious, Caleb is far away and is the biggest problem right now.
@feeq6hnic This. And it's not a secret. The rule changes swung everything so far into the offense's favor for a while and defenses are now catching up and figuring out how to limit big plays. It will even out. We should be happy the Caleb is realizing he needs to take what he can get right now and not force the home run. He'll be fine.
Caleb went 8-9 and a touchdown against the blitz. Thats growth

To be fair, DJ has always sat on the bench alone, it’s just being magnified now

Recency bias but, Akiem Hicks was a one man wrecking crew in Vic Fangio's 3-4 D
I feel like Hicks was overshadowed by other guys but he was a Beast, I always loved him
he had khalil mack on the other side
Great job guys!! 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎 5 apples
Good things happen when we get Swift going.
DT: steve mcmichael and then akiem hicks and its pretty close.
Good talk about Swift as rb who can catch! Aaron Jones would murder us with small dump offs and screens

The defense is good. Not all-time. Not elite. Not great. Just good.
Was 7th last week
They are only giving up 20 points in less for something like 8 straight games. Pretty good. I’ll take that most days.
@@donn1387 nothing wrong with a good defense. You just need a solid offense and then you're cooking.
@@irish6783 Exactly. They're good. 05-06 was elite. 85-86 was all time. 18-19 was great. This year, they're good.
Ill be willing to draft tyler booker (33rd pick) and parker brailsford (bears 2nd round) and replace either teven or nate davis at this point
Bears got to play better or they will be in last place in the north
