- Capturing little dogs with the snappy snare is really hard! Releasing the loop a split second too early or a split second too late, and now you have a super stressed dog who will continue running and running.
In this situation with Doodlebug, I was prepared for this option, and with help from JoAnn Wiltz and Katie McKittrick, we planned a perfect ambush that allowed us to succeed and save her life 🥰
Doodlebug was abandoned and survived on the streets for FOUR MONTHS until a Hope For Paws fan spotted her and contacted us for help. She is now available for adoption with someone special who will continue working with her and will teach her how to trust humans again. I knew there were way too many abandoned and abused dogs but just didn't realize how bad it was/is until starting to watch these rescue videos. I am so thankful there are rescues like Hope For Paws that goes the extra mile rescuing animals!!
When will laws get tougher, jail time, fines, registry where people can never have another pet if they have abandoned or abused them? 🐶
There are more in certain areas compared to others. Unfortunately California seems to have a lot!
@@aina3387 It is already a federal crime to abandon or abuse animals. Someone has to care enough to call the police when they see the the crime taking place. There are prison terms and stiff fines if caught.
@@patriciabilinkas3911 I am not sure how the laws vary from state to state but I know in TX it was just vetoed a bill that would had been harsher on animal cruelty such as having them chained up literally with chains so the laws are not near tough enough many times when someone abandons a pet no one sees them do it 😟🐶💔 but when seeing an abused animal and that's okay with the governor there in TX and all those that voted him in sadly is probably the same in many states!
Watch some of the rescues in other countries such as Takis, and Viktor's channels to know just how bad it is animal cruelty world wide!
These people that abuse animals r sooooooo inhuman that they r bullies. Once they can not bully humans they go bully innocent animals. Because they think they can. They do not have a heart. Some of these people that bully is because no one show them what love is all about. N that a dog or cat can be ur 4 ever best friend. When they receive TLC they will love u 4 ever never ever leave u n will protect u with their life. I went out with 2 men n they hurt me. if I Had to choose between a man or a pet. Hands down it is always will be my cats. I had cats all my life one day I find a cat named Tiger I couldn’t find him a home. I all ready had 2 Persian cats. When I found Tiger I find 5 other cats find them a home but Tiger I didn’t. I didn’t want to take him to the SPCA. so I decided to keep. I decided to keep him a. It took while for him to trust me but when he did He was alway next to me. He would follow me like a dog when I would take my daughter for a walk. All the neighbors loved him. He was 1 yr. old when I found him ; he lived with me for 15 yrs. he died in my arms I was crying like a baby I still miss him n all my other cats. These people do not know what a joy it is to have a pet To love them n for them to love u. They have a bigger heart then some humans. They r very smart n more intelligent then people. Because they know how to love. Especially when the receive TLC

@@youngimages2000We have about 8 dogs in foster homes in a country of 5.6 million people in Finland, so I beg to differ. I never saw a stray dog in the UK when I lived there for a decade, not to mention a stray dog or a cat ever in Finland and I am soon 50.
Americans have a lot of homeless people. Why do you expect people to take care of animals when you do not take care of each other?
I don’t know very much about Finland at all. The USA is a free and open country that attracts good and bad people, lots and lots of bad people :-/ I always remember that those who are good to animals can’t be all bad.
This is why I donate every month to HFP, so happy they rescued Doodlebug. She is so adorable and I hope she finds a loving forever home.
I am so tired of people abandoning there animals, so cruel, people should not get animals if they can't take care of them. I realize hard times happen but at least try to find a no kill shelter or help from a rescue.

It defies belief that anyone could let such a beautiful dog get into that matted condition. That did not happen over a few weeks that is ages of neglect. She looked so accepting and pleased with her beauty spa- and she is just beautiful.

She looks like my late Rosie Posie who we lost in November 2014 due to diabetes complications. Doodlebug is the same size and breed (Maltese/Bichon Frese). Seeing her made me tear up and miss my Rosie like we just lost her all over again. 😥
Hello Rob. I'm sorry the pain is still there even 7 years after Rosie went to heaven. Maybe it's time to adopt a new family member ❤️
@@hopeforpaws Rosie was 15 and we had a younger "sister" for her, named Daisy Maisy, who we lost in 2019 due to kidney failure - she was 16.
While we loved them both dearly, we decided as a family that bringing in another canine family member wasn't something we felt comfortable doing.
That said, I do donate frequently to your organization and the wonderful work you do in giving these unfortunate situations a second chance for a loving home. Keep up the good work, Eldad and team! 👍🙏

There will be more, because people are too lazy/dumb/poor to get their pets spayed and neutered. Then they toss them out onto the street.

It was bad & messy but I think ol' Arch could have another year in him!! His legs work again, he's not lethargic & most importantly, he can go #2!!

When I was a teenager we had a dog that looked very much like this one. She'd been a "babysitting project" that ended up staying when the former owner couldn't take her back. Her name was Muffy. Her nickname was Doodlebug, Doodles for short. We loved that dog dearly. I wish I could have a dog now because I'd come get this one and give her a forever home just like our Muffy had.
She is such a Sweet, Shy, Little Lady.

Imagine being so scared you don´t want to come any closer to a rescuer. But you also hear one of the calmest voice ever (I mean Eldad´s voice) and you become halved - come closer or not to come closer? I admire those brave animals who relax immediately after being caught in a net. They must be so scared but willing to take a risk at the same time and start to trust humans again. Her name is JoAnn Wiltz; she's known as the 'cat' expert but she also knows a great deal about dogs; she doesn't have the 'empathy/sweetness's of, let's say say Loreta, but she gets things done -- and can lift heavy dogs into the car!

Our whole family loves this channel, especially my 2 boys!we've been watching for years! I, on occasion rescue and foster cats and as a madder of fact my my eldest son rescued his first dog this year, he was very proud and luckily she walked right up to him! She was the sweetest, calmest little dog! He named her Isabel. We found her a loving home! And a lucky leash would just make my son's day! Thank you for the content and all the work you do! ❤🐱🐶🐦🐰🐾

I’ve been wanting a lucky leash since I first started watching your videos. I have a 3 year old Pumi whom I have had since she was 9 months old. At that age she had lived in 4 different homes! I consider myself lucky that she came into my life.
