Hard Trance was born around 1993 from names like Gary D., Legend B., Commander Tom, labels like Noom, Bonzai, Tunnel, MFS, Sub Terrean and compilation like Rave Mission, Ravermeister, D.Trance... and probably the 1st hardtrance compilation was Trancemaster Vol.5 - The Hardtrance Experience (1993) and this is from 2001

About the Genre. I'm pretty sure it's old early hardstyle / hardhouse, not hardtrance. Hardtrance is something like Scot Project, for example.
Arne songs have dry beat with acid bass + deep bass, so imo, they fit to hard trance
