Mark, Great list and one for me to look into. I just got approved for the BBC card with the 250 SUB. And they gave me a 2k CL but I am a first time Amex customer. My very first Business card with them. I know Amex usually give good CL increases after 6 months. So I am not worried excited to build a relationship with Amex. I also got approved for the BCE card. Same 2k cl. I did both in one day is that silly? It also had a 250 SUB. I like no AF cards. I did this all with a BK on my credit report although it is 7 years old now. I also have a 680 Fico score for a DP for you. I have been fixing my credit for a lot of years and making the payments on time it is finally paying off. Appreciate the content buddy.
Thanks. Still working on getting some old info updated with irs so once I apply for B of A business card, it will be hopefully all set. Will probably apply for a couple Chase business cards and a couple others thru the coming year but I plan on trying my luck with B of A before end of the year. Sounds like I will need to build a relationship with B of A to tip the odds in my favor. I just got approved for Amex Blue Business Cash. Got the card yesterday and am almost done with my bonus spend. No hard pull since I have another business card with them.
Hey, Mark! I'm glad to see that this video was tailored to new businesses, startups, and beginners, as it will directly relate to an issue I could really use your input on. I was just denied for the Venture X business card, which I applied for under an EIN, although they did offer a Spark Miles card instead which I declined. Although my business is over 20 years old, I only last month set up my LLC. I wasn't worried about it because my credit scores are all over 800 and I knew they would be looking at personal credit which is very well established (average credit age is 9 years), but among the reasons for decline were 'credit bureau info unavailable' and 'insufficient credit card experience'. Am I to understand that the decline was basically just because the EIN doesn't have any credit history? Am I going to have to go another route to build up EIN credit history in order to get the VX, or does it make sense to try again in a month or so? I COULD start down the Chase rabbit hole with the Ink Unlimited, but was really trying to go hard into the Cap1 ecosystem first.
I'm not sure what Capital One was looking at. If you still put your SSN on the application in addition to EIN, then I'd assume they'd be able to view your long history on the personal side. I've gotten a Capital One business credit card in the past with SSN alone. That said, and assuming their messages of "credit bureau info unavailable" and "insufficient credit card experience" were in reference to your business report, then I'd focus on building up credit history via your EIN with another issuer before trying again with Capital One.
First time on your channel and I absolutely loved your vidoes and content. Question: I recently got buiness credit card and don't know how to pay business credit card montly payment? Can you use your personal bank checking account to pay your business credit card? Thanks in advance.
Congrats on your approval! You pay it with the same process as you would a personal card. Simply link your checking account to your card's online portal.
Great info! However, you hadn't mentioned anything about your credit score requirements, the type of credit profile needed to get approved for cards, or what the credit score needs to be on the personal or business side prior to approval or applying for said card. or PG OR NO PG..
Correct, that's because none of that information is published. So, for me to say "you need score X, profile Y, and income Z," that would be highly misleading. Also, all small business cards from the major banks I'm aware of require a PG.
@MarkReese say less thanks for the response..now since I recently just got my business bank accounts with Amex.. does anyone know when it's a good time to apply for the biz credit cards or any data points.. etc. For approval..

5:49 my only critique of this card, is the FX fees that'll easily wipe away the flat earning 1.5X points on all purchases
Mark thanks for all your videos, they really do help!
Question, is there a schedule as to which cards to apply for first? Thank you again!!
Glad you find them helpful! No, there's not 1 path to follow in this game.

680 is a solid score, and soon enough, you'll be in the 700s 👊 Great work rebuilding!
As always, your videos are helpful. Thank you and keep 'em coming! 😊✨️
Does the Bank of America credit scores show only if you have business that is registered such as an LLC? I am a sole prop but have an EIN number.
Not sure about that.
Do you remember if you had your LLC when you got card and got scores?
@@a3sully - Yes, my LLC was already in place and I applied with my LLC's EIN.
