A great explaination and a very cool tone indeed! Finally someone else's found out there's no need to use an actual amp sim, you can create your own like he did in the video with almost anything! The only downside here's the basic pre for high gain it's just that single one, so the basic "color" is gonna be always one. If you'd like to have a bigger palette of "basic tone colors" to choose from, try the Reason Scream 4 module from the Reason Rack Plugin, use that as an amp sim substitute and you'll have plenty of options to go from clean to high gain for any genre! If you'd like to know more about it I've got a video on the Scream 4, but I'm not gonna spam it here, you know what to do....
