Taught traditional martial arts for few years in college, used to train 6 hours a day in the Summer. Work, life, family happened and had to leave it. Have not practiced in 15 years. The scene where Daniel san starts to clear out space for his dojo area in his home, choked me up so bad I had to turn off the episode a while before finishing later. Great series and great music too.

So yeah, even if you can only go once in a while and not as constant as you would like, GO. Most of us have gone through busy times and we know what it feels to leave the dojo/gym, and we don't want anyone to feel guilty about it. TLDR: Just go every once in a while if that's what you can do. 99% chance they'll be happy to have you.

No - what I meant was I don't totally agree with the motto of strike first, strike hard and show no mercy but, there are some exceptions such as if offenders have entered your apartment or house or they're setting on someone who can't defend themselves or if the offenders are armed with a dangerous weapon

The foundation of Cobra Kai teaches those who have been victimized by life's hardships to instead rise up and fight for themselves. Obviously, some degree of restraint is necessary and Sensei Lawrence's central conflict is learning how to properly incorporate such restraint into his teachings while still empowering his students to fight for what's theirs without remorse or regret. The point of Pipermillen and myself is that while both assertiveness and restraint are necessary, the harshness of today's world demands an emphasis of the former over the latter. That's why we cheer for Cobra Kai.
When Cobra Kai S1 dropped on youtube, I was attending my first semester of college right around finals, ill never forget me and 3 other dudes huddle around a laptop watching the entire season in the cafetorium the week it dropped on youtube red, good times!
