This is a never ending debate, what i would suggest to my fellow Sanatanis is accept the good things and ignore the bad things.
1.Swami Dayanand's Arya Samaj provides cremation services at affordable cost which is something to be appreciated
2. Swami Srila Prabhupada's Iskcon does Annadan where lot of hungry people are fed
3.Swami Vivekanand's RK math is running schools which is educating lot of people
This comment will become long if i list down all the good things from 3 organisations so i have picked up main one's
We're born in Sanatana Dharma and we should be proud of our ancestors who preserved this knowledge even though we faced brutal invasions.
I pray that, we get blessing from every supreme god to eliminate darkness within us and achieve the supreme

@@crashloyal iskcon said truth according to their perspective. Similarly few shaivas also says such things that follow only mahadev. Vishnu is just a promoted god. You will get nothing by worshiping vishnu because vishnu himself gets everything from mahadev. Such things are there in many many sampradays.
And coming to vaishnavas itself, many vaishnavas are also not ready to unite together. For example Ramanandi (for whom Lord Ram is supreme) sampraday dont like iskcon. Iskcon claims themselves to be a gaudiya vaishnav. But dont know wether they are or not truelly.
But one thing i understood that your friend's and that particular iskcon guy whom he met. They both are the reasons for division. Your friend should have mentality of letting it go because at last iskcon is spreading bhakti and strict sanatani satvic life. I know iskcon very well, they never disrespect lord shiva. Few toxic people are everywhere. So ignore them.
Be united. Otherwise Sanatan will be history. And the new religions would he vaishnavism and shaivism just like sikhism, budhism and jainism seperated from sanatan completely.

In the beginning I was blind supporter of iskcon but later I realised that Prabhupada is totally wrong in many aspects and there gita is designed in a way that one who reads it join there organization. However Prabhupada said Shiva Durga Kali are demygod and there worshipers will not get self realisation and on other hand to expand his business in foreign countries he said Jesus and muhmaad are equal to krsna

He didn't even listened to the doctors and even his own body when it comes to serving the nation. And you found only meat and somke , that you can learn from him. As a whole I am a devotee of lord Krishna so I follow Geeta first.

"Ano bhadraha kartavo yantu vishwatah"
Means let the good things enter your mind from any medium.
