I remember watching this drama and honestly, this is the only drama which forced me to write in a paper the descriptions of the characters (base on my own understanding) because their roles are very obscure that I need to analyze it to understand their expressions. This drama almost made me lose my sanity. Wise advice: Don't take this too seriously, you'll get caught if so! ;) Best melodrama from Korea for me so far!
3 equally actors in one drama.ha ji won jo in sung and so ji sub.they give justice to their character, you will really feel the pain of their complicated situation..hope to watch them again in the future.its year 2020 but for me this is top of my list drama.ha jiwon and jo in sung my powerhouse couple both great actors
OMG, July 2020 just finished this drama ... a very tragic ending, very sad. Their triangular love made me cry until the last episode. Hopefully Ha Ji won, jo in sung, soji sub again

Haven't watched everything you listed. Didn't really like Empress Ki. Don't like that kind of genre. I'm more into Secret Garden. But, I loved "What Happened in Bali" the best. And, also Daddy Long leg. She is quite cute and, you're right, very talented. I just don't like how she aspire to Angelina Jolie. I don't like Jolie. She is such a fake, husband stealer. Pretend to like kids, but really she takes of photo-ops to boost her career. She's worst than J-Lo.

I watch this drama when aired in philippines and I rewatch after how many years its a nice drama that can make you watch and give thrill every episode. My theory HJW really love JIS the moment that she stop accepting money although she is desperate about money but she realized how much she love JIS when they are not living together, so many misunderstandings between the trio i admired the writer and director good story line, when JIS get married she try to move on her life, In wook love her deeply but he want to become successful, JIS crazy in love with HJW even though he’s already married he cannot accept HJW with another guy he is obsessed with HJW. When HJW and wook back in Bali she was honest to herself that her heart belong only to JIS and wook accept it and set her free because that is real love, when you love someone you have to set her free although maybe something happen to them in the bed. But JIS because of his love and jelousy and obsession he dont know what to do although he heard what HJW say who she really love but JIS mind was under by devil its a human nature when you are in the stage of jealousy he kill both but after he kill HJW he comes to his senses especially when HJW say sarang or i love you he knows that HJW loves him but its too late so he decided to kill himself.
Based on my research.. So ji sub is now happily married.. And jo in sung is happy at chose to be single.. He's 42.. But both of them are rich.. Thanks for their acting skills and popularity.
I juz knew HJW from Secret Garden then tried to look for her other dramas. She is so different from other Korean actress, love her acts very much. I wish JIS character in WHIB was as smart as Kim Ju Won so they could elope and....happy end!!! At least So Ji Sub in WHIB had made himself rich.

Ahhh! I remember watching this drama! From the beginning and to the end, i still cannot decide whether if i'm happy for Soojung to be with Jaemin or Inwook!
The story is a complex one with complex character. This is the drama that made me fell in love with kdrama and I was 11 back then. The drama was a little bit complex for 11 yr old girl but as I grow older I got to understand the conflict and the characters. They made Jo In Sung the hero but I ended up liking So Ji Sub more. The thing that made this drama different than the cliche kdrama is the fact that at first, Ha Ji Won like So Ji Sub. And he likes her too. But conflict after conflict, her feelings shifted towards Jo In Sung. But based from my understanding, maybe she's conflicted. She don't know whether she likes Jo because he showered her with gifts. So she thought maybe her feelings for Jo is for his money. That's what I think.
She is a girl who needs money desperately. But finally ended up loving JaeMin not his money, even she is in the embrace of So Ji Sub who is rich after scamming Jaemin. She cant hold her tears finally realizing her true love.
She loves Jaemin because he doesn't judge her as poor. She finally gave jaemin her heart because she knows jaemin loves her unconditionally. And he was willing to give up everything to be with her. 😭❤👏👍
She first have a crush on ji sub... But later fell in love with in sung, but then in sung can't stand up for her.. So he married the other girl...then finally decided to fight for hajiwon...but then parents threaten to kill her.. So left her again... Then ji sub finalized his plan and offered hjw the escape that she longs for.. When they were already in Bali.. She realized that she can't escaped what she felt for in sung and decided that she will go back.. But then in sung killed them because of shock that she was in bed with ji sub...they have all complex characters paired with undecided priorities and pride plus witch parents.. So it ended in a mess L
Actually the writer was very realistic and creative at the same time... If you look and be the character of hjw you will empathize with her.. And if you take the side of ji sub you will also realize that what he did was just right... And if you take the side of in sung you'll realizes what he did was the actual and real action of a man in grief and desperation.. .. So it depends on what point of view of the characters you will take.. That's why it's still a classic until now.

Anyway another great drama that comes into my mind is Secret Love Affair with Yoo Ah In - this is the drama one simply can not miss, I really recommend this one.

wow , yesterday i finished the drama and i just cant stop thinking about it , first i watched it for ji sub but i fell inlove with jo in sung charachter from the start , he was the best till the end , my heart is achibg right now like its rly rly burning , what should i do , i hated all the characters for waht they did to jo in sung :( , and he absolutely deserved a better girl than the main female lead . but for the first time im satesfied with the revenge in a korean drama although his sadness broke my heart , i looooooved him T^T
