Prior to Yoon's Martial law declaration, the major party in the parliament, who's against Yoon, impeached like 5 of Yoon's cabinet without any cause and delayed in appointing constitutional judges that impeachment of those would go forever halted or delayed, making his cabinet inoperable ;on the top of that the parliament made massive cut in 2025 budget which would've further paralyzed Yoon's regime. I still don't think Martial law was necessary personally that he could go for referendum if he was that desperate but he did succeed in making Koreans be aware of bullying of the majority party in the parliament and how their legislation has benefited China, making it more suspicious if really China was behind voting fraud. The reason protesters are waving the American flag is because they want the Korean-American alliance to stay strong. Prior to Yoon's Martial law declaration, the major party in the parliament, who's against Yoon, impeached like 5 of Yoon's cabinet without any cause and delayed in appointing constitutional judges that impeachment of those would go forever halted or delayed, making his cabinet inoperable ;on the top of that the parliament made massive cut in 2025 budget which would've further paralyzed Yoon's regime. I still don't think Martial law was necessary personally that he could go for referendum if he was that desperate but he did succeed in making Koreans be aware of bullying of the majority party in the parliament and how their legislation has benefited China, making it more suspicious if really China was behind voting fraud.
