- an old song...but it seems little has changed but the location of our wars and the increased knowledge we have of the injury we inflict on our planet...a pity
Because of the positive response to a previous video with a lot of graffiti...here is a new one. I went out on a mission to record as much as I could find. This video has about 1/4 of the frames I shot.

Thanks, John...I appreciate your listening and your generous comment. I wish I had Ringo keeping time for me. The acoustic beginnings were smoother and the tempo changes were great. The translation to an electric reality was not so easy. I gave up early on trying to keep the images in-sync with the music lol but the video does give you plenty to look at in 1 second intervals. :o)

Thank you Shauna (5 instruments) for giving this a look and listen. It is a tricky song and I think this is as good as it gets (I am not fooling with it again lol). I wanted the time changes and I feel good about the lyrics no matter how dated they are...and the graffiti/street art was fun to shoot. I spent a week and a half looking for it and capturing most of the decent stuff...glad you enjoyed it. :o)

The lyrics go back a bit, but it seems nothing ever changes but the locations and the extent of the damage we do to ourselves...so in some ways it is very current. The images were an easy romp when you know where to look...(I shot nearly 400 frames and choosing which go into the video was the hard part). I'm pleased that you enjoyed this and appreciate your continued support.

It’s a dreamscape melody for sure, slipping seamlessly from one tempo back to the other like a dream. I loved the falsetto vocals you were exhibiting. Very nice, Tom :)
Hi, Laura! The melody/tempos were more clear when it began as acoustic draft...but another four layers made it a challenge. Still, it worked with the lyrics and hung together. Your lyrics still ring true all these years later! It's a wonderful song with relatable references. And there were many close calls I don't think I could have survived without a guardian angel. Fantastic images, Tom! I live near a railroad crossing and have come to really look forward to the graffiti on the trains that pass through.
Thank you, Nancy :o) (sorry, no shells). Yes, we don't seem to learn from our mistakes, and even guardian angels are going to be very hard-pressed to save us from ourselves. There is so much graffiti and street art there, and the best is in the arty/party places. What I find the most interesting is the stuff in "impossible" places (like high up on the windowless walls of warehouses, etc). And you are right, trains and everything related to them is tagged with graffiti and street art. You should keep your camera handy for that next train passing by... You know where I shot the video, so you have no problem understanding the nuances...I am a little shaky on some of it, but the imagery is good. I avoided the ones with only writing as most of my audience is English-speaking. I had to cut down the number of images in half because they were too fast... now they are are 1 second intervals and that's is still quite speedy. Merci beaucoup, :o) xo

I went out of my way to capture all of the graffiti I could find (and Paris has a LOT...I have enough to do another couple of videos) and those images seemed to be a good backdrop to my song. It's said that every generation influences society...and I shudder at the thought of what the final result will be from mine.

Very awesome graffiti Tom...cool..
There is an old hospital in Sudbury...about an hour from where I live...it was horrible looking...had that old institutional look and he was run down ... somebody got permission to do a huge graffiti job...the entire thing is painted like a rainbow tye dye with butterflies... it is quite the sight😊🦋💖
Awesome original song ... these days are a major bunch of events ... kind of like in the 60s...but different... it's like everything is coming to a breaking point... they say things get worse before they get better... feels like we are in the getting worse stage...and there is alot coming to light... and there really are Angels out there..

Tom, this song is a winner sound-wise and every-which-wise and time doesn't dull the meaning of the lyrics. You had hidden it away for so long so this is a real gift for us listeners today! Fewer images of longer duration would be easier on my eyes though :-)

Enjoyed the song and lyrics, Tom! Nice tempo changes. While many of those graffitis are museum quality, I wonder how many were actually done by the owner of the building??? I suspect few to none. Great irony from the one "Love Your World"....and then he covered it with paint. Kinda like the "injury of wars we inflict on our planet".
I think a few of them are put there by the owners or tenant, but the majority are not. Some are clever and or beautiful, some are simply tags. I shot a ton of them and whittled the number down to these. At first there were twice as many here, but they flashed by too quickly, so the majority are about a second apart. Control the tempo? lol It worked in the first draft, but it ended up all over the place, Phil. I was going to sync the images to the music and finally gave up on it. I shot so many that it was also had to choose which to use for this song...but there will be others, no doubt. Thanks for listening and for your nice comment

Tom, I like the streetart-collection (hard work to collect it? ;-) but mainly I like the lyrics and the change of tempi - but as well I like the kind of Beatles-style to the whole song.
