Honestly wasn’t feeling myself in this review, and Brianna being defective really didn’t help. Quality control on rainbow high dolls needs to be fixed especially if prices keep rising.

I can understand occasionally finding small errors, as they are mass produced toys, but the absolute sloppiness of some of the dolls is ridiculous. The idea that kids wouldn’t care about it isn’t true in my opinion. If I was a kid I would definitely be annoyed if doll clothes kept immediately falling apart or had noticeable holes in them from excessive packaging. I’m not expecting absolute perfection, but I think if you have to hunt for a doll that’s decent looking with minimal flaws, even for the pricey special edition ones, I think that’s a valid thing to take issue with.
Anyways… I am pretty excited for Brianna! She is so pretty and her outfits are so so cute. I’m very happy they made a bubblegum pink doll, it’s my favorite color. 💕
Honestly once something breaks due to a defect the toy is not loved no more, and eventually is found in a thrift shops.
I think it's insulting to children, especially for a company who considers them their primary audience, to suggest that they wouldn't care about some of the biggest issues that collectors often point out in these dolls. I, too, would have been incredibly disappointed with some of the issues we commonly see in these dolls. I would be interested to see if a kid would prefer a doll with a simpler design that was produced perfectly or a more detailed doll with defects. I loved plenty of dolls as a kid that weren't on the same level of detail as Rainbow High, but I don't remember ever having a Barbie with torn clothing or a crooked face.

I don't think QC issues are new with MGA, it's just luck of the draw. I've dealt with quality control issues since as far back as Moxie Teenz, Lalaloopsy, those $50 collector Bratz from a few years ago, and most recently LOL OMG. Interesting that their statement says they are not collector quality dolls, then why are they charging collector prices on these "special editions"? I still want this doll though, cuz she's too cute.

As someone who works in a factory that produces plastic bowls and stuff, I can guaranty that quality control gets harder the more detailed an object is. Employees simply don't have the time to check every piece with the amount of attention a collector would, and with the amount of details the RH dolls have, I am not surprised nor angry at it. I perfectly understand why it happens. There is a lot of pressure on employees to work fast, and eventually, there is sort of a choice between making perfect products or making the products on time and not making to much scrap.
@@saragreenfire4515 I feel that either way they should should check it well. Your right not every little piece but if it comes down to the point if make up is smudged or clothes fall off then the employees simply aren't doing a good job.
Her last name “Dulce” is pronounced “DOOL se”. It’s a typical Latino last name. It’s like “smith” or “Johnson”. “Dulce” also means “candy” or “sweet” which is probably why they named her that since she’s themed to be “bubbly” pink.
It's also present in the Italian, Portuguese(Dolce) and Romanian(Dulce: sweet flavour or candy) language. These words come from the same language: Latin, mother language of many European 🇪🇺 countries, the neo-latin ones (new Latin). I love this play of names!! It's fascinating and very clever! 😍

Well the pronunciation depens on not only the language, but the accent of the person! Note that not all spanish speakers pronounce the c like an s when its followed by the vowels e, i,same goes for the z when its before a, o, u. Still, the meaning is the same in another languages which makes it more interesting! And yea, the doll is sweet herself, a bubble gum girl

My Brianna came with a crooked foot. I obviously couldn't tell until I opened her, took off her slippers and tried to stand her on the doll stand. But she was the best looking one at any of the stores, even though she also has the weird blotchy lips with the beige patches. I painted over it with nail polish and I have to balance her carefully on the stand

Omg my Robin also came with a misshapen leg. I could've returned her but she was the only one at the store and I had been searching for her for a long time. 😢
Here on my channel I believe in full transparency in my reviews. I believe everyone should know what they may be buying , and not skip details/defects I may stumble across.
These dolls are expensive, and mga should invest into quality control which in the end would save them money rather than having to issue out replacement dolls.

You're totally in the right about the quality control. One thing you missed was that the top of her socks aren't hemmed, which makes them look unfinished. It also makes it easy for them to unravel in the future. Not loving the holes left behind by the excessive plastic tags or the crunch hair. It's almost like these dolls were only meant to look nice while in their boxes in hopes of tempting you to buy them, but the moment you hand over your $50, and try to remove your doll from the box you're hit with 20 tiny little let downs. That said the doll is adorable.
Um I also believe that they shouldn’t be 50+ dollars 💵 but it isn’t mga’s fault it’s they stores a lot of people don’t know that mga made them around 35$ as the recommended price but often times the store changes the prices to what they think they should be because of the fact that they are store exclusives the rockstars and slumber party dolls Monster high did it to💅💅💅 so it’s really these stores fault also briana has a completely new face mold and averys eyes 🤍

I almost want to stop buying these dolls because of the quality control issues. It’s so frustrating! I totally agree with you. I had to buy 4 of Georgia and 4 of Minton just to find one of each that were passable. I returned the defective ones, but what a huge waste of time and resources that actually takes away from me even enjoying the dolls once I find one without wonky eyebrows, uneven eyeliners, sloppy lips, wonky blush placement, cracked plastic, etc. It just kind of sucks the life out of me that I’m paying to have a bad experience. I’m on a low-buy for a while. There’s just no way I’m paying $50 for a doll.

No bc MGA definitely needs to get it together with the QC why when I bought my bratz collector doll, jade, I keep her boxed for like a good few months then one day I decide to open her, when I open her and further inspect the doll one of her arms was short than the other 😑 LIKE PLS what is going on at their QC headquarters
They have a tendency to want to rush productions and produce as many different dolls as possible in a short amount of time which is not the right way to do it they are just money hungry and trying to compete with other brands
Until I got Yasmin i didnt realize my Jade's eyes paint was a bit faded and the eyeline wasnt black, but dark grey. It was too late to return it and get another one

I'm happy you're telling things as what they are, which is something many YT toy reviewers aren't doing, and I feel they're up in MGA's ass. They criticize Mattel (and it's fine) but they avoid to criticize MGA for all this QC problems. I've been having many issues with both LOL OMG and RH dolls, between clothing and the dolls. It's infuriating! I do refuse to pay full size for anything.
Agreed, somehow my Amaya (first model) was ok, then i got Jade cheerleader with a good discount on amazon and she had issues too. Her cheek marks were half erased, a black little dot in an ear, and the most noticeable is that her lower lip wasnt totally painted, there was a spot missing on the bottom left. Actually this makes her look like she is biting her lip x) then i got emi also from amazon and a bit discounted too and oh my, you know the colored panties they wear? Her thigs had paint marks from the same color, and had black marks in her elbows too, like paint that accidentally touched it and also im not sure if the hook from the head works well and the clothes had some issues too... Its very annoying, the quality of the doll is good, then why does this keep happening? They lack quality control in the very end of the process and seriously if they dont adress it, people will stop buying them if they find these problems often. So yea, my advice is go always for sales, and cross your fingers

As a doll collector (who funds my own collection. No hand outs nada) I say it from the consumers POV. I look at as I had to work 4-5 hours at my job (that barely gives me hours) to afford these dolls. And to see the quality not matching the price tag makes me furious especially when customer service doesn’t help. And I’ll continue to do so :) 💙
My robin has some serious resin injection errors on her body.. I did t notice them when I bought her because her outfit was hiding it .. her detachable hands where off as well

When I was a kid, I would definitely be sad about the defect, it’s not because it’s a kid that they don’t pay attention or appreciate a good quality toy. I could not know what was missing or what was wrong some times, but I could tell when it was a cheaper toy and it did bother me, still played with it, but I liked more well made toys
all of my rainbow highs have QC issues, usually holes in the clothing. my ruby's hat lost it's peg immediately and i had to super glue it back together; thankfully an easy fix. these dolls are too expensive (the collectors series especially) to have such consistent problems. they have amazing details and beautiful designs, but the quality control is clearly not something MGA cares about. they need to step it up. another example of clothing QC issues is My World's bella parker or georgia bloom's pearls falling off the skirt out of the box (can't remember which doll) and her georgia's top was also sewn crooked.
i understand these dolls are mass produced, but having QC is a requirement for any modern company, especially one as big as MGA. they can afford quality control just like mattel can afford higher design quality dolls, people hate on mattel all the time but mga is just as bad.

I recently received my Brianna too and the quality control is horrible. I mean $ 50? That’s a lot of money. Honestly by this time I would’ve thought that mga has learnt to deal with quality control. Oh, well I’ll keep buying them because they’re iconic but if they keep making each special edition doll $ 50 I might reconsider to stop collecting them…

I'm honestly disappointed with MGA with their lack of quality control because I love the dolls they make. Heck they are the reason for why I started collected with OMG LOLs and i had to stop collecting those because I kept getting really poor quality dolls with their eyes messed up, eyebrows completely off, clothes falling apart and I had to stop cuz it was just getting worse with the more dolls they were pumping out. I am sad to see Rainbow high is heading towards the same direction as Lol Omgs. The price jumped up to 50 it makes me feel less inclined to collect them at that point I'd rather just collect BJDs and Pullip dolls because I know that they have an amazing quality control. You get for what you pay for with those doll lines but Rainbow high was the better alternative because of the similar structure to a BJD. That's just my opinion tho

i heard if you make yourself sound like an upset parent when contacting MGA they usually send out replacements, just do that and see how that goes.
I contacted MGA because the same thing with my Brianna top had very bad holes and the Velcro was worn out badly and wouldn’t hold it in place. They responded today saying “We are truly sorry your product was not to your satisfaction.
I do apologize in order to receive a replacement you will need to return the product to the retailer you purchased the item from. Unfortunately we are out of stock of all the Rainbow High Slumber party line dolls and their accessories and we do not have an estimated time of when they will be back in stock.

@@ZombieXCorn I know it’s devastating, and it also doesn’t help that my lyric lucas heel came defected with no heel in the back at all that wasn’t noticeable in the display. They sent me the replacement today but bummed I couldn’t get my top replacement when I already spent $300+ on these new slumber party & rockstar dolls.
If mga can't fix their damn quality control its time for them to lower their prices, literally bought Daphne for 30$ the other day and she had lip chips and weird broken joints, I remember being younger and other company's like monster high would be like 15-25$ and be good quality, I'm so sick of these high prices when most of these dolls I get have defects

Hey, i don't know if that being said but Brianna lips are meant to be like that. ALLL the one i've seen (we have A LOT in Canada.) in store and also mine are like that. It's kinda weird but it supposed to make the lips looking more shiny. Also sorry for the broken top.. hope your new one is perfect tho !
To be honest, her lips don't bother me that much. I had to really look at the close up to notice. I can't stand obvious paint defects, bad smudges or marks on their faces.
There's two versions actually! My girlfriend got one with shiny pink lips and the store also had another Brianna with this "lip gloss" look

My Robin Sterling had a long open seem in her pants that I'll probably glue back together and some deep scratches on her body that I tried buffing out with a magic eraser. I also retured the first Brianna I bought because her eyeliner was unbelievably uneven. I hope MGA can improve their QC and customer support (their response letter you showed was insulting tbh), especially with the rise in prices.
On a positive note, series 3, Slumber Party, and Rockstar lines are all really terrific in terms of design and improved diversity. Daphne and Robin were my gateway purchases and since then I've collected quite a few more. It was a mission tracking down Marisa Golding!

One time I contacted MGA about my Emi because her hair was falling out in globs even when i brushed her hair as soft as I could and they straight up told me that it was my fault that her hair was falling out and that she a children’s toy. Like Girl no dolls hair should be falling out in globs and i know no child wants to play with a balding doll.
You know the purple panty Emi has? Mine has some of that paint on her thigs, like the person who painted it accidentally touched the rest with something with paint. Also one elbow has like black marks too
I contacted them about mines being bald and they said it was normal 👹
I only just started getting into collecting rainbow high dolls. I think they are super cute, but yeah I agree they're expensive, and they quality is all over the place. Brianna was the first one I bought. One slipper was flocked the other wasn't.. :/ I though no big deal it is what it is, the doll was perfect. Went back out and bought another one so she had a friend and I got the winter edition violet willows, first of all I hadn't even taken her completely out of the package and her pearls on her jacket popped off, no biggie stuff like that usually happens with fashions like that I'll fix it. Then I find one shoe was painted and the other wasn't and they both had scuffs all over them and on the bottom of one there's something black stuck between the transparent part of the shoe... What the heck, then I take a closer look at her skis and they have paint splattered all over them, her finger nail polish was all over the damn place... Like I still love her, and these are issues I know I can fix, HOWEVER for a NIB doll priced at $40 After tax I should NOT have to go in and fix so many issues with something I just bought. I'm not expecting absolute perfection, but like they could do better.
I feel you on the quality control! I just got the $130 box of s1 dolls, and ruby has a spilt on her body seam so one of her arm joints is kinda sticking out, the sunny had some staining on the back side of her pants, and violet had a gap on her leg seam, AND her neck joint is broken or loose Bc her head kinda wobbles :( I was so devastated but I’d feel too guilty returning them Bc I know they’d be trash/compacted ;n;
The inflation of the price is due to those shipping containers that have been stuck at sea for almost two months now. It sucks but that’s just the situation rn.

I really enjoy the fact that your honest on all your reviews (not like some others 😒) .
These are fews defects that i have met a lot on mga’s dolls like omgs and rbh dolls and it’s probably cause their adding a lot of details that make for exemple the clothes less cheap but at that price i admet it’s a little upset .It’s really annoying for me because i live in france (why my english is not perfect) and these dolls are harder to find and the price is higher so as collector i think they should do more attention to this but i don’t think that this should be enough to return a doll like it’s annoying but not dramatic

They definitely need to fix their quality control. My Emi's hair was extremely matted the moment I took her out of the box. You'd not be able to see it in box, so that's why I took her out because she looked perfect. Little did I know.. 😅 I had to cut huge chunks of hair off, it looks okay ish now but she didnt have a lot of hair to begin with. I sent an email to MGA, not to get a new doll but how to fix her hair, since I just started collecting. I got a copy and paste answer back on how to wash their hair for the first time. If they actually read my email, they'd know I already tried that.. People told me I need to reroot her hair, but I have no experience doing that and I just brought her.. Shouldn't be necessary right 😕
This happened to me with Pacific Coast Harper !! Her waves looked perfect in the box but when I took her out I knew there was no way I’d be able to fix it as I also have no experience with doll hair really and she was only my 4th :/
Fr though. If the dolls aren't meant to be "of collectable quality", then they shouldn't be costing $50 if we're paying for play line.

Ngl I contacted MGA about My Daphne’s pant hanger. I didn’t expect a bunch of red tape but it was and is still an ongoing mission. They are fighting with me over it being after 30 days… 34 to be exact, don’t get me wrong, I understand policy and all. But I explained I just opened the dolls together recently after waiting to collect them all. Obviously I didn’t know someone put two frickin pants clips and no actual hanger part in the damn bag that’s behind the doll in the sealed box 🤬😡 I mean cmon! The fact that I even wrote in meant it was important to me and I didn’t ask for an entire doll I’m asking for the 1 damn hanger! 🤯ngl I literally lost my ish on them… and that’s not me at all. And yess I got my Brianna doll 2 days ago and I feel in love, she’s my favorite doll. But mine Brianna was really defective. Her eyeliner is messed up in the right eye and her left leg is deformed :( 50$ was not even enough for better qc. I feel you ❤️

they had no stock for my emi too but they offered to put me on a wait list and sent me a new doll, but forgot to send me replacements for my defective clothing, the doll I got was a lighter lip variant with straighter hair which was fun tho-

I'm so late to this video, but I just happened to order Robin online since I couldn't find her anywhere in stores in Germany, I got her and I didn't noticed after opening the box that her body color doesn't match her head, she had pink nails, then I further analyzed her and turned out she also come with a different pair of eyes that had a pink streak in it just like Daria's eyes, the last thing I noticed which wasn't that big of a deal was that she come with Krystal's stand. Overall I knew about the factory errors but I never thought it would be this bad, this is why I hate ordering RH dolls online

I got a Vanessa and didn’t find out until she was out of box that her entire section of orange braids was missing from her head. Emailed MGA and followed all instructions for requesting replacement, got a response the email was received, have never heard back or seen a replacement.
Tbh pretty disappointed of their price.

I recently got Gabriella, and her heels on those platforms she has were poorly put on the shoe. I had to glue them back on with some nail glue I had close by.

I have seen multiple dolls with mold on them. 2 of them were Uma Vanhoose, and the mold was in the same place (on her top... it was like a fur coat, it was BAD). These were in entirely different stores and months apart, so clearly not just an isolated batch issue. I got the same generic response from MGA, although EU customer support was perhaps a little politer.

I think they should slow down on releasing dolls. They released a lot since the beginning of 2021. Maybe MGA want to try to keep up with the web show, but idk. Just a lot of releases so fast and maybe if they slow down we could get less errors in the dolls. Just my opinion. Still love rainbow high, but yeah the qc can be a lot better, especially at they're price point.🤙🏾

I’ve had severe issues with RH’s Dolls and their mouths. Anyone else? I went through 5 Simone’s at Target and everyone of them had very noticeable mouth paint problems! So bad I didn’t get her and got another RH doll whose mouth and lips were fine.
I see this everywhere I go. I look for the perfect one or the one who’s imperfections are not that bad and I get them.
The reason I don’t buy off Amazon etc Because I know I will get one very bad and have to go through the trouble of returning it ugh.
So I go on Mercari or eBay I zoom in very close and examine the doll. And something else I need to express here.
If your selling a RH DOll on eBay or Mercari please take a picture of the actual doll and not a company picture ( a picture we see of the doll to represent them) so we can see any defects!
I write people and ask if they could send me a picture of what the doll will actually look like if I purchase it. Kindly.

So they must be hiding defects or most people will gladly send you a picture. They want to sell their doll. Wait they want to sell their doll? Huh? They must have gotten one with defects too ha ha.

I literally understand Amaya heel literally broke off and I paid for it and now I have to re buy Amaya and the hair of Amaya become nappy and stringy and I had to cut the ends because I found hair loss hanging out of her head and I recently got my violet winter break and I found what looks like barbecue sauce smudged on her face I bought the twins and the hair got super nappy in 1 day without me doing anything and my bella tights tore apart so she doesn't wear them I thought about buying the rainbow house but I don't want me to pay 200 just for the house to be not up to my standards
My Avery doll had a puncture in the side of her face and they ignored me when I contacted them, it's honestly so upsetting when the dolls can be so expensive, I literally saved my ass off for her and now I can barely look at her

I just brought Robin for 34$ and when I took off her robe I saw that her right arm has this weird white swirling pattern on it. It's very bizarre. She also has a white notch just below her right knee.
Yeah you call them out! People shouldn't put up with it, but fans keep making excuses for them.
I've had a few issues, seen a lot more in shops, but the worst is my WB Jade. Her body seems so cheap, compared to all my other dolls, her eyes were wonky, her hip is too. So many newer dolls are covered in paint splatters too. When I look at her, I feel sad tbh. I'll display her in her snowboarding outfit but the other clothes will go on my series 1 Jade, who I am still in love with. 🥲

Kudos to you for standing up for quality! And I agree with you returning it. It's a nice doll, but you are paying for her defects with your hard earn money, and this is NOT RIGHT!!! The lip is not an easy fix, and the manufacturer quality control should have noticed that, rather than let it go and assumed we are not going to say anything and just blindly pay the money!
As a parent of an now 18 year old daughter I can honestly say that is rubbish how can you hope the doll will look hall way decent after a few times be played with if it is defective right out of the box? And little girls notice every little imperfections (or my daughter did) and those where the dolls that ended up at the bottom of the bin never to see the light of day after working long hours to give your child a toy they looked forward to only for totally disappointment does leave a bad taste in your mouth. My daughters last Barbie was the island princess doll that was recalled due to unsafe amounts of lead in the paint. Just because it is intended to be played with doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have a standard of quality to their products.

I know I’m late to this video but MGA is out of their mind saying these dolls are for children. I’m an adult doll collector too and I would never think to buy these dolls for kids. Kids cut hair off dolls are messy and will lose the clothing and jewelry. To me it would make no sense for a parent to buy there you f child these dolls. Also they are a PAIN to get out of the packaging so that’s a huge strike when it comes to kid toys. I love these dolls but I am sick of hearing “this are for kids”😡

It would be a lot faster and less hassle to have a friend or family member sew that strap back on; it would take about 30 seconds to do.
It just won't be the same. You would need someone really skill so the thread isn;t obvious, perfect measurement so both side are even, and amazing sewing skill so it look like it the factory. Sure you can hot glue, sew etc but most of the time it never look like the way the factory does. You also risk damaging the clothes, making more holes, and then the store won't take it back. It sound easy but it really isn't. There so much risk and skill involve (and that if you can find someone with skill sewing skill) Ex, my robbin doll lace is off and I can just go buy lace and sew some on the side that have less. However, I suck at sewing, don;t have a sew machine, and I would have to search high and low for the lace closest to the design. So I can understand why he return it. I am honestly considering just returning my doll too. I mean it would be easy to sew it back on if you didn;t care for perfection or small detail but a lot of small detail bother people. Like if one strap is 1 mm higher it would be wonky to people but I personally wouldn't care. I don't know if I would ok with seeing the glue on my doll top ????? Sorry for the long reply but I can kinda understand why people would rather return it. The idea of fixing a doll is so scary to people who want a close to perfect doll.
