I like how this version talks about Violet's bad manners instead singing about how chewing gum too much is wrong. But , I can't imagine this Violet as a blueberry.

I do as well. I love the song from the film for Violet Beauregarde, but it would have been better if it used these lyrics instead, the music would have been fine all the same.

"You'll get no commercials." Geez, you'd think TV stations and UA-cam would take the hint. This is a line from a kids' movie in 1972 that is still relevant in 2023. It's an evergreen joke. It will ALWAYS be relevant.
And people (like me) who go onto UA-cam just to watch old commercials!

I've been a fan of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory my whole life and I had no idea this record existed. It's cool to see the characters in their appearances from the original book paired with the Oompa Loompa songs from the 1971 film, though.
Although some of the lyrics have changed, but yes, it is cool to see this. I am glad some of the lyrics are different, Violet's in particular, it goes more with her punishment than in the 1971 film, where in contrast is much more about gum chewing (the mood of the song in the 1971 film though is much more fitting).

they should pick this chords from this grooved out version and I'm just a kid again but Mr Wonka is s true asswipe in the film with true sarcasm with murder in his mind. I love behind to lime it when it was premiere on ABC in 2002 for thier thirtieth anniversary.

I know this is like 5 months old, but in the book it's said that Violet has a mop of curly hair. Don't think they ever mentioned a color, but many illustrations color her hair red.

Much truth to this that so many tend to forget. Yes, there are good parents with bad kids, and even bad parents with good kids, but the apple does not fall from the tree. A child raised right could only be raised by parents who know and act right.
I think the only one who looks movie accurate in this picture is Mike Teevee.
The final album released under Golden Records. The label was renamed Wonderland Golden, then after a couple of years it fully became Wonderland.

The illustration was done by Les Gray, and supervised by Ralph Stein, according to the Discogs page for this album.
They could have easily put in the extra Veruca Salt Oompa Loompa lyrics in the 1971 film, and used the lyrics for the Violet Beauregarde Oompa Loompa song in the 1971 film instead, which would have much more sense. It should focus on her manners on her gum chewing, which mostly had nothing to do with the reason for her punishment at all. I wonder why Mel Stuart decided to use new lyrics and took the extra verses out of the film.

Right , if you didn't watch the movie or read the book , I suggest you read or watch it now! But basically, 4 nasty kids , the 4 on the right , and 1 good kid , the one on the left are invited to a chocolate factory of Mr. Willy Wonka (The small man with a top hat.). But in the factory the 4 kids do not follow the rules and each get their own consequences. The Oompa Loompas, the people singing , then talk about their rotten manners. The first one is Augustus Gloop , a gluttonous boy. Next, Violet Beauregarde, a bad mannered gum chewer. Then ,Veruca Salt , a spoiled brat. And Mike Teavee , a boy obsessed with TV.
