    The point play the game and not the score is sooo important!
    Last 3 games I managed to lose the match being up 5-2 - because we looked at the score and didn't play any more like before. And when this happened I started making also the other mistakes - playing too safe, not letting heart rate drop and changing game plan etc.
    I have also experienced that letting intensity drop is also a key to losing
    But still all very frustrating 😰😰

      Yes I can imagine. The score can also be the thing that creates pressure for you

    Youd advice on not playing safe and playing like youre supposed to play (which you mention one way or another in many of your videos) is really good. Im still a beginner and struggle with wall shots and reaction time in attack position but I play them anyways and slowly i can see myself improving! Yesterday i managed to get ~40% of my wall shots! Huge improvement! Not good but better than before and thats all that matters! 😊

    where should i be positioned on the right side when the other right side player is preparing a vibora cross court? I played a final last week against a left handed right side player and i was finding myself blocking every single one because i feel like ill lose the point if i leave it to the glass.. could be because of my positioning.

      You can go over the line to volley it. Or stay and use the walls. Behind the line, close to the corner

    Hi Sven,love your content. Also living in the Netherlands. Why do I find it more difficult and lose more consistanly to inferior players?It's really frustrating

      Thanks Lisa. Well.. that is a challenge for everybody. A big part of it, is that it hurts our ego when we lose to somebody that is actually worse than us.
      If you can manage your ego, and play shots that you should play. So avoid quick winners and avoid playing too safe. Play a plan, and dare to mistakes in your gameplan. Because that is totally fine

    On the 1st point: When someone plays a _good_ vibora (RE your comment at 0:35), I've seen some coaches saying to actually block it before it hits the wall, since the bounce from the wall will be nonexistent, or very low and quick. Any additional pointers on this / how do you see this?

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  3 місяці тому +1

      It depends how close your opponent is to the net. If the lob is short, I rather block it.

      @@OtroNivelPadel how can I approach the blocking of viboras? Where should I position myself? Can you block viboras from "no man's land" or should you attempt to block it only if you reach the 2nd post? thank you.

      There is not one answer to that. I would recommend to watch our video: Aggressive defending with German

    how does one find a plan in padel matches? is it based on the opponents weak points or are there basic plans like maintaining the net and playing safe from behind?

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  3 місяці тому

      Well a bit of both, it depends really. There are basic patterns that I use, and based on the skills of my opponents I will go deeper
