Wow. You helped me a bunch. For my application I'm thinking about automotive exhaust piping. I have always looked for a formula for the lowest, deepest, throatiest tone I can get when it comes to installing a custom exhaust on any vehicle. I recently watched a very odd video about a mazda 3rotor engine mated to a series of round and oval piped exhaust system. Thanks to you I understand why that 3rotor sounded like a bass monster and not a weed whacker. I'm going to apply what I've learned from you from now on.
Hi I'm actually working on a 13b currently and I'm here for the same reason. Lol. Have u seen any benefits from the oval setup both power and sounds? Would appreciate hearing back from you cheers friend!

which applications require velocity more than airflow volume? I am thinking about home furnace
Can you show how to do round to flat oval equivalent
Did u just assume that radius for the flat duct will be 5 inch or it will be the final vlaue.
I selected 5" for easy math mostly, but our 8" equivalent flat oval on our plenum slot diffusers is about 5 1/4" in height so it is close.
TitusHVAC In that case how we can say for sure that flat oval duct will occupy lesser area than round duct?
@@asifrocksful1 Lesser height
50.3 in was round? Shouldn't be 50.24, 50 1/4??
