@@donnaquillen3375 we love Anastasia!!! Will be going back again to film it but last time we were having to much fun lol. I also did the dolphin swim in ST Augustine and that was so amazing!
That's my back yard! I hope you enjoyed the blue water and got to see the gator who lives around the corner of the spring :-) totally tick season (use the full deet)
Thanks! 😃 Internet has been rough even with starlink becauase of rain/clouds here at the campground. Lots of videos coming just a slowwwww upload process lol.
It's tick season. You have to be prepared and use tick repellent. Use tarps on the ground and spray them too. You can get a big bottle of permethrin at Walmart. I love Manatee Springs State Park. The water is always 72° year-round, crystal clear and absolutely gorgeous. The campground is beautiful and I've never been disappointed.
Where there is a lot of deers , its a lot of ticks... Buy a spraybottle of Frontline...expensive but just need to spray some around your living area. I use it on my dogs and used it on the grass closest to my house in Michigan
Great idea thank you. We have the deet spray for ticks so I sprayed around the area where they were all over our starlink and in the side area. Your idea seems like it would work way better!
Geez, just there Friday for 1 night. Saw no ticks site 40. But also, I didn't see any deers so I was disappointed. But if there's deer, there is ticks.
Anastasia State Park highly recommend.

We have seen him twice such a cutie!!! Had no clue ticks were an issue here and have been to the park and on the trails several times.
Also we need to get together since we are so close to each other!!
Ow how cute are the wild animals whom visited the campsite, be safe.
Yes they are
Glad to see you again,
was wondering yesterday about you 2.
Enjoy the trip and hope to hear you soon.
Sweet greets from Belgium

@Adventureswithbecky Nasty small things !
@ninaanetteassarsson4328 they are way worse than skeeters!
Check out Weeroll trailers, built in Ocala. You built out the inside. We love ours!

Were you in Hickory or Magnolia? We are in Mag loop1.
@@Adventureswithbecky Magnolia - last site on the left heading out.
Take a tarp to place on the ground.
@@donnaquillen3375 we have to huge ground mats that are 9x12 each. We have just been sticking close to our mats lol.
Request a state park map.
We always grab one when we check in unless it is one we visit a lot.
@@Adventureswithbeckythe state offers all parks on one big map. Visit Reserve America and Dyrt for campgrounds everywhere!
Lots of ticks, period. Got to be smarter than they are. 😝
@@donnaquillen3375 lol no joke
The critters live there. You’re the invader/visitor.
Coyotes possums skunks raccoons Etc proliferate around humans because we are a food source not because we came into their territory.
What about fire ants? We were in FL many years ago and we could not stay in our camper due to the fire ants.
There are some here but not bad in our site. I just swept them off our outdoor rugs.

Of course, camping is cheaper!
And so much more relaxing and fun!
Don’t you research your destinations?
We have been to this spring/park several times but haven't camped here. All the videos I saw never said anything about ticks or tiny spots.
It used to be nice. 😔
@@DebbieJeansVanLifeScene maybe we should have visited this one before.
Nope, Armadillos don't eat ticks........I HATE TICKS !
@cooperheat7248 bummer but thanks for letting me know they don't eat ticks.
@@cooperheat7248 opossum do!
Florida overall is pretty disappointing.
Highly disagree 😊
@@Adventureswithbecky I'm a longtime Florida native. I moved away years ago, and it was the best move I ever made. Your mileage may vary.
Glad you are happy with your move😊
Be glad they're not chiggers and be extra glad they're not mosquitoes😂
@rlbrown-js9ns tons of mosquitos but that is normal here in FL
