@apsjr1 That IS simultaneous interpreting. In a courtroom setting the court interpreter will be very close to the Spanish speaker so as not to disturb the proceeding. Some courthouse provide a microphone and headsets so that the interpreter's voice is barely audible to others. The interpreter here is demonstrating in the same language (correctly called by him as 'shadowing', which is a great technique for beginners).
the only problem with Interpreting is you are hearing to languages at the same time and it sound like you are mumbling. the only different is there is a delay

the close captioning in Spanish at 1:29 should read ' al acusado' (the defendant) and not 'a la crusado'
