Guys, don't let them tell you anything. For me, this is music that I want to listen. Don't know why did 80s had to come to brake magical music from 60s and 70s, but when I hear something like this, I know there's a hope. Rock on , guys! I especially love the outro, sound so relaxing, like waking from a dream. Peace
@WolfPeopleUK: you don't even need to bother with replying to such comments. You wear what you feel like wearing...while making AWESOME music as well. Keep it up!
I was in my teens in 70s and am gonna see this band live this evening in Helsinki. It's not nostalgy but because I wanna hear how they have applied those 60s and 70s tunes really. Long live classic rock - with all these new generation bands, my thumbs up for you.
Been listening to these guys for a couple years now. So many great sounds here! I hear all kinds of great old school influences. There are lots of "psychedelic" bands in the states these days, but I haven't found one this good. These guys are clever, technically good and rocking the balls off! I've turned many people on to Wolf People and bought an album for at least three different people. NEXT ALBUM FELLAS! TOUR HERE! Signed New Mexico Wolf People Freak!
These guys are superb, heard the name about and only just heard them, I'm sold. They are supporting Dead Meadow in London in May at Bush Hall, I'll have to go, excellent!
Never heard of these guys, but I like what im hearing. rock n roll will never die. just keep rockin . you will be rewarded one day for keeping rock alive!
I've just bought your record Steeple and it's amazing. I hear on this album a lot of love to Jethro Tull, Led Zeppeling etc. but also something new. You guys are very talented and thank you for your music.I hope you'll come back to Poland very soon.
Whoa. Had a dude at work telling me about you guys. This song is incredible. Picked up Ghost's album yesterday, gonna have to find me some of this stuff too.
OK, someone posts this on a forum, I listen, listen some more and now have an album on order and a trip to see them live lined up. They sound that good.
First thing that came to my mind was Jethro Tull. Great song! Voted for these chaps (roll of honor awards). Is that a melotron I'm hearing? Nice soloing in there as well.
I feel enthousiastic about what Wolf People do. It's like good wine... there will always exist amazing bottles for passionated people. I literally traveled through their album...from north to south... and trust me that's good food for your soul! If you are passionated like us, come on our channel and check our stuff! We just realized our first music video...
@NashSpaceRocket "Look at them, they're got the look down pat" Completely off the mark there mate...have you even looked at us? Since when did having a beard, wearing jeans and a t-shirt become a conscious decision to be indebted to 70s rock? We wear the same clothes for work. "Typical british band, passing off yesterdays music as something new and inventive" None of us are claiming it to be new or inventive. We are very much indebted to yesterday's music, our parents' record collections etc
Saw them a year ago on a festival dominated by long haired cave men playing the heaviest music you can imagine... and funny enough... Wolf People was one of the only two bands that actually played real music and blew the doors right of the venue!!! (the other one was woven hand, but that's pretty obvious they are awesome ;) )
@DzedajO 90s restored it somewhat. thedn it fell back off last decade. now with bands like this we are seeing a resurgance. ying and yang, back and forth.
dont forget the black crowes, black belles, blackwater fever, black mountain, black diamond heavies, black country communion, black ryder, black flag, black label society, the blackhearts (joan jetts band), black spiders, black stone cherry...and of course....rebecca black ...among others.
@xxgaliaxx Yeah there are loads aren't there: Wolf Eyes, Wolfmother, Wolf Parade, Patrick Wolf, Howlin' Wolf, Wolf Eyes, Los Lobos, AIDS Wolf, Guitar Wolf, Steppenwolf, Wolves in the Throne Room, its a fucking joke innit!
their music is great, sometimes even amazing! the album i have ('steeple') does remind me of many great things: gentle giant, traffic, GRAVY TRAIN, some tull, a bit o' sabbath and pentagram... but crossed with... mudhoney, kyuss and (the harder side of) dinosaur jr? excellent, although verging on 'nerdy'.. reading some of the comments, i must add that, being 40 and a rocknoroller since i was 8, their lack of hair is sorta disturbing haha. but who cares, really! fuck intolerance!

They sound like nothing else.

Brilliant gig at Qstock 2011 in Oulu, Finland. Thanks so much!
Very groovy. Jethro meets Jack White.

Love it.
I hope you've discovered Jethro Tull :)
Saw them last night at Moseley. Absolutely breathtaking, zombifying. Blew me away like nothing else ever, I think.
saw them yesterday! they blew me away :D
Gutted, just miss them in London!
First thing that came to my mind was Jethro Tull. Great song! Voted for these chaps (roll of honor awards). Is that a melotron I'm hearing? Nice soloing in there as well.
Since when is being influenced by great music a bad thing? Rock on!
Nice work :-)
the flute reminds me of a scene in the movie anchorman
First time hearing Wolf People...from the very first couple notes, I heard Jethro Tull...I dig it.
Damn, they could be from the 60's! Really great stuff!
Oh yeah, ya gotta dig the flute... nice songwriting...
very Jethro Tull like, all you need is a great flute solo, I like it!
Perth loves you!

"Typical british band, passing off yesterdays music as something new and inventive"
None of us are claiming it to be new or inventive. We are very much indebted to yesterday's music, our parents' record collections etc
Jethro Tull and Cream had a child, and I would raise that child as my own if needed, for that child is greatness
Saw them a year ago on a festival dominated by long haired cave men playing the heaviest music you can imagine... and funny enough... Wolf People was one of the only two bands that actually played real music and blew the doors right of the venue!!! (the other one was woven hand, but that's pretty obvious they are awesome ;) )
dig that flute
@DzedajO 90s restored it somewhat. thedn it fell back off last decade. now with bands like this we are seeing a resurgance. ying and yang, back and forth.
Awesome!
reminds me of focus, very nice
@RUBBERMOOG Debut album out last week, try and see them live as they rock in the best possible way!
Kinda like how many bands have black or witch in them. Mental!
Best band around at the mo.
NEO-CREAM !!!! good stuff
The drumming on here sounds like Gong's 'Oily Way'.
album of the decade (this is from a middle aged rocker)
I like how the flutist looks like Ian Anderson
Hellyeah!!!
dont forget the black crowes, black belles, blackwater fever, black mountain, black diamond heavies, black country communion, black ryder, black flag, black label society, the blackhearts (joan jetts band), black spiders, black stone cherry...and of course....rebecca black ...among others.

prog flute is cool.

When are they touring?!
@arabburnvictim do you meant when are they turning?
@NashSpaceRocket They're just using some retro styles, they aren't copying 70s rock. Also this isn't an argument about my name.
I came to hate this. I do not. It's good.
Wolf & Cub

Saw these guys support Black Mountain, they were actually better than Black Mountain. Must have been a muddle up in the bookings.
their music is great, sometimes even amazing! the album i have ('steeple') does remind me of many great things: gentle giant, traffic, GRAVY TRAIN, some tull, a bit o' sabbath and pentagram... but crossed with... mudhoney, kyuss and (the harder side of) dinosaur jr? excellent, although verging on 'nerdy'.. reading some of the comments, i must add that, being 40 and a rocknoroller since i was 8, their lack of hair is sorta disturbing haha. but who cares, really! fuck intolerance!
