Cool, that’s awesome, watching the video out in New Zealand, that place is my local, live a mile away, me and a couple of mates had a hand in starting the trail called pallet land many moons ago, miss the trails there as not much access allowed here, not enough unofficial trails to ride if you know what I mean, all to managed, hope you enjoyed it there 🤘
Hi NZ stunning place. I wouldn't have minded moving there. I loved smilog . I really enjoyed it. I'm slowly gaining confidence. I've had allot of stress lately and I. Definitely less relaxed on the trails as a result. The group I was riding with are really helping me progress and I'm starting to relax a bit. Glad you liked the video
I’ve only ever run shimsno low end stuff(I’m going to upgrade one of my bikes from bottom end(powerful enough but lacks control and lever…) to deore 2 finger single pots). I’ve heard SRAM offer more modulation, and are reliable if you bleed and maintain them correctly, but punish you if you don’t; they are probably good for tech riding. What went wrong with your brakes? Melted a piston or something.? What kind of pads are Uber pads? I’m only a beginner, but when I take my bike down Holyhead mountain, I use the brakes quite hard in the right places, but I’m not constantly on them to advoid overheating(also shimanos are good for off on style braking, and I like to get some speed up!).
I'm sorry I'm from down south so I rely a bit on others telling me. It's mostly Smilog was told it was that Forrest name and the bit at end is Mallard.
Great video buddy 👍 smilog is a big no in the rain 😭
Yeah I reckon it's probably amazing dry
Great video mate, i can vouch for mallard, it's bl**dy steep 😂👍
Love it up there!
I'll definitely be head back soon. Awesome place
Smilog - Llantrisant forestry
Hi the title referred to the group. However as it was confusing I've changed the title. Hope you like the video

That’s an e-bike so a lot heavier, what breaks were you running?
Running codes with 225 discs. Uber pads. I normally carry spares but money was bit tight lately
