First time I went down the Baja was in 1979! My family drove down in a rented RV. Most of the road was barely paved and Cabo was a sleepy fishing village. Although I was just barely in my teens the trip had a lasting effect on my life and I remember some parts so vividly. It's great to see that some of that feel can still be found and I can't wait to go back!
I love the vibe of this short film. My soul craves these kinds of trips,in a way I can’t describe. Snaps for spreading the love with the local kiddos.🤙🏼
I know how you feel. The hardest part of this covid thing is not being able to hit the open road in search for adventure. As soon as I'm allowed, I'm gunna load my backpack, tent and surfboard and drive as far south as possible. Much love fellow gypsy :)
@@Jay-fq8uz You're right Jay. We're definitely a lot more limited (eg. I would like to drive down the Mexican coast) and i live in Canada... but you're still right.
@@soulsurfer639 haha I mean if anything covid has been a blessing is disguise for a lot of surfers. Especially the ones that only got to go out once a week.
Truly a gem production! Nice travels and especially music. Some of these videos posted by young people have zit popping heavy metal or rap. Thank you so much.
Wow! From the cinematography, to the music, and even the commentary… this was a journey and I loved every bit of the ride. Thank you for sharing these memories with us! One day I hope to make it to Baja too
I'm old now, but my first experiences with surf travel was down the Baja Peninsula, and I've still never seen a wilder place. So many memories, thanks for the video.
This is officially my favorite video on UA-cam! Damn!! So good! From the storytelling to the production quality, it's really really great! I SOOO wish my videos were as well produced and as authentic! And everything that was said was so meaningful and relatable (I had a blast in Baja driving a '73 VW Bus) Thank you for making that and sharing it! Much love to you guys!! ✌❤
One of the most well done short films I have seen on UA-cam!!! The choice of music was spot-on...so many youtubers get that item very, very wrong. Nice job!
Love it! I too took my 89 surf (diesel rhd Japanese version of the runner) down through baja a few years back and plan on going down fora few months at the end of the year. Can’t wait. Wish I could film like this so I could have made memories like this.
One thing that always makes me wonder is... how places like these can be actually real. I mean seriously!! There is so much beauty found in every corner of this planet but then, it seems like, not everyone of us has the possibility to see it this way. Well, simply a big thank you for creating this peace of art that should enlighten more people to have a different look on the precious thing we call earth. 👏🌍☀
Thank you for making such a really neat video. You Are all so genuine that the viewer can really live the experience with you. That was super super fun.
You guys! That was absolutely epic ( : I drove down the Baja peninsula and back 5 times in my 20's and so miss it. I just turned 50 and trying to get mi esposa to do it with me. I so miss it. Thank you.
Countless gringo surfers have been quietly visiting Baja, enjoying the beautiful land, friendly people, empty waves, and solitude.....without publicizing their treasure finds. Their lack of self-absorbed self-promotion allowed your "ambassadors" to enjoy uncrowded waves. There is a reason your ambassadors enjoyed Malibu-like waves without Malibu-like crowds. Prana easily could have produced the same yoga-hipster commercial without showing topographical landmarks. Perhaps send your "ambassadors" back in 10 years. They will likely find that they eroded the surf solitude celebrated in this video. This is yet another example of the "tragedy of the commons"....a situation in a shared-resource system where individual users, acting independently according to their own self-interest, behave contrary to the common good of all users, by depleting or spoiling that resource through their collective action. Thank you, Prana. I hope this video somehow boosts sales.
All the gringos coming down here with their surfboards are most definitely welcome. These are the kind of folks that don't leave trash behind, say "gracias", and marvel at the unspeakable beauty of this place. Keep coming, this is the fun side of Trump's wall.
Nice video guys awesome. But please be careful in mexico nice place but at the same time Dangerous. We like to have hueritos like you guys but be careful.
Ok ok, but for sure there was a camera crew following along in a new tacoma, to shoot all this amazing footage and just in case the firstgen got in a rut. The final production is Golden.
Not since Endless Summer has there been a video that captures the free spirit of the surfing lifestyle in Baja. Great film!
That was a great video I really enjoyed the retro feel, it was very calming and nostalgic. I also dig the old 4Runner with the pin strips👍
@@ansonemory9821 oh ok .... thanks for letting me know!
Very inspiring and well done short film, thank you for the experience ❤
It's just so beautiful for me to see other people enjoying my hometown , this video is just a footage of my entire life
This film should win some kind of award. Has a kind of 60’s vibe to it. Beautiful all the way around! ❤️🙏
Awesome video, beautiful scene, niece trip, sweet details school and helping the people with the truck,

I started surfing Baja in 1969 and you did a great job of capturing the vibe of a Baja surf trip. Thank you.

Perfect surf/road trip film. Love it.
Survivalist Mentality. All the things that make you stress about, aren't the things that makes you survive. Awesome video
feels like a hollywood movie. The music, the scenery, the cinematography. Excellent work. Earned a sub
That 4runner is DREAMY! Great short film. Make me miss baja! Also makes me miss my '89 runner. @prAna - more of this please!
Yeah I miss my 87 so much.

If you have done Baja right, it stays with you forever.

Perhaps you've never heard of Google Earth. It reveals ever surf spot in Baja. You don't need to be a genius. The genie is out of the bottle, Alex.
Save your pennies amigo - plenty of places to travel where there’s no one out.
