- Samsung is preparing to reshuffle its smartwatch lineup for 2024 with the release of the Galaxy Watch 7 series. Not counting the recently launched Fan Edition variant, the upgraded 2024 lineup should consist of a standard Galaxy Watch 7 and a brand-new Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. Today, we have our very first real look at the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, as well as the color options it'll be available In, and the US pricing for both the standard Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.

Not a fan of the new design. Square or round? Pick one!
I've switched to a Huawei GT 4 watch,2 weeks battery! Samsung are crap at battery life!🙄
Samsung strategy is best overall.. not in specific category
They're basically just putting a box around The Galaxy watch 7 and calling it ultra. They would be better off making the entire square or rectangular shape the whole screen instead of trying to put rotating bezels on it because you just wasting space.
I'm excited about battery life, I'm hoping we get at least 3 days of full power, always on display. The design is OK, but I wanted the original Galaxy Gear, that had a curved rectangluar display.
I bet it'll look even better in person. We just need to wait lil more days. Battery life is 100 hours on a single full charge.
$200 should be the price
There is nothing premium in smart watches.....
I have seen $40 Chinese watches with full Android working in it, Amoled screens, LTE...etc
The Ultra large bezel winner! Can you get much poorer screen-to-body ratio? Looks like a rehash of the 2017 Samsung Galaxy Gear Sports. Except, judging by the markings on the circular bezel, unlike the Gear Sports, the bezel won't be turning. So Samsung manages to combine a smaller circular screen with a larger squarish body that will sit awkwardly on the wrist. In this way Samsung makes sure it avoids capitalizing on its one competitive interface advantage, the turning bezel. 100m water resistance is really the big deal here, and it'll likely come with appropriate software. The larger battery is nice too, but that was already on the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. All-in-all they could have done Ultra much better.
Yeah. The rotating bezel will be a deal breaker for many people. Samsung can't be stupid enough to get rid of it again. They did before with the Watch 5, didn't age well, brought it back with the Watch 6, now going again with the Watch 7. Not many people will be buying this due to the price anyway, but they ought to keep the rotating bezel. The circular button on the side will probably rotate, if the bezel doesn't tho, maybe that will convince people. Just a couple of days to find out.
Wrong title!
If this is true, then Samsung failed miserably to compete with Apple in the ultra arena. Apple gave us that wow design, which keeps me wanting to switch from Samsung to Apple.
I hated the square design and the stems like they took wired earbuds and cut the wires from it all of that was just ugly to me but I guess Samsung just copies apple which is annoying if I wanted apple stuff I'd just buy apple stuff. :(
7 ultra looks hideous noone gonna spend 700 for that ugly monstrosity

Hundred dollars less of the standard Galaxy S24. I believe you can get the S24 now for $700.
I like a rounded watch like a real watch not like the apple fake shaped
The regular Watch 7 is completely rounded, and costs wayy less than the Ultra.

So far, all info points to the Watch 7 Ultra having the feature. Although we last heard Samsung is still waiting for FDA approval, so it might not be available in the US at launch.
I really like the new design , bigger battery, better processor, duel GPS, titanium frame , the strap looks like its integrated better too . I'll definitely be swapping my 6 classic in for the 7 ultra. I expected the price to be around $700 , so that's no surprise .
They made the Watch Ultra to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Of course it's going to cost similar, but Samsung is forgetting that they're not Apple. They shouldn't gamble like this. They should have at least launched the regular Watch 7 & Watch 7 Classic, then added the Watch Ultra.
For anyonenwho doesnt want to pay for the ultra , then the watch 7 is still there at a cheaper price . I'm waiting to see what pre order deals they offer @FanoftechTV
