I love this clip and the same way I did years ago when I first watched it. If you saw the full dvd production you'd have seen this peramce among other startling rnb chop drummers. The reason I love this clip the same way is that Gerald intended his performance to be unique amongst the others by virtue of "raw" and "improvised". He really lets it all hang out here and risking errors along the way. Of course I noticed the occasional, and very occasional, time skips. He also even had a drum stick drop and drum stick clatter contact. None of the supposed flaws in this uniquely raw, live and honest performance did anything to diminish my enjoyment, pleasure and absolute respect for this true performance. When he tossed the head phones was the moment he declared he was doing it live and unrehearsed. His solo had all the attributes and qualities that demonstrated his true talent that even any mistakes or error I could possibly detect wasn't note worthy enough for me to even try critique his over all and final performance. It's a raw and honest performance that is most notably and famously book marked by the timer and most impressive moments he got to demonstrate throughout. The right foot single bass drum syncopated dance riffs and the splash cymbal and tom snare lyrics is what I love about this above any concievable slip . What he meant to do is clear as day
Do i ask? I am very happy with the sound snare drum that you use, how many snare drum sizes do you use? Can I ask for references to the size of a snare drum suitable for all songs ? Before I say thank you willing to share knowledge about drum greetings I'm rendy ferdiansyah
Jizzy Keint The opening was really sloppy. Once he got off the track it was better, but he seemed to be playing for applause instead of just playing. I've heard him way cleaner than this. He's still dope though. LOLOLOL
Number of advantages sticks not choked enhancing tone, zero tension more stamina.. finger control is a weapon you can play loud using fingers angle of sticks are same as your arms more ergonomic. If you try it tape your fingers though as you'll get blisters.
