Helloween just release their ground-breaking Keeper albums which set the standard to power metal genre patterns, and even Metallica named their demo "power metal" in 82 before kill em all. So perhaps they choose the name "power metal" because they are metal, and their music are powerful. Idk exactly tbh, just an opinion. And the rest is history. At least for Indonesian metal scene.
