Hey, sorry for the late response, I'm just seeing this :(
It is cheaper than getting your own place. It has 24/7 security provided by the college, you have access to other students in the dorms to make friends and meet people in and out of your major, the RAs organize events usually weekly, you are steps away from campus, and in the case of emergencies, someone is always there.
The on-campus housing had something called payment plan that you can ask about, it allowed you to pay in smaller installments, rather than everything up front. Ask if they still have that option available.

Hey Karnpreeet! Yep, I studied at the Auburn campus. If you check Green River's website you can see photos of their other campuses.
