- The Samsung Galaxy A54 can record in 4K30 but it doesn't get electronic video stabilization at that resolution, so it has to relay completely on OIS. The Galaxy S23 is way better.

Overall, A54 is still the best midrange phone. Great camera, software updates, dual stereo speakers, overall experience, etc. Vivo V27 Pro would've been a great phone with stereo speakers and good haptics. Samsung should've continued A74, it would've been the perfect upper midrange phone.

A54 already has new fitur of OIS update, a week ago. and the stabilizer working smoother now..

That's only if you like the over saturation which not everyone does. Yes it might give the sky more color but more than likely it overselled. The s23 is most likely more accurate to the real colors.

@@MsMRkv dslr with lense, they're often under saturated without it. Moreover mobiles phones will eventually catch up with dslr cameras :)

@Galaxy rock Studio the a54 is glasstic back not glass back which is a fancy plastic it's false advertisement. The a54 should have the SD 870 which is miles ahead of any 7 gen 1 or 2 chipset while the exynos 1380 gets beaten by 4 year old flagship processors, put the s22/s22+ camera sensors, slim down the bezels and put an ltps display which goes down to 30hz or 48hz while removing the silver camera ring around that selfie camera cutout. Phones that cost $400 or more should have 1-2 year old flagship hardware and they should've added spen support because since the note 10 lite samsung never gave us a cheaper alternative to people who want the spen. They are already not giving us wireless charging, reverse wireless charging Samsung dex, the fastest transfer speeds, ultra sonic 3D finger print scanner and the s23/s23+ display on paper they are same quality but thr a54 uses a cheaper super AMOLEd panel which isn't anywhere near as sharp as s23/s23+ or even compared to s10e from 4 years ago. They are already cutting these corners so why not give us SD 870 with s22/s22+ camera sensors and the software features plus the spen support as a cheap alternative to people who want the spen but can't afford $1199 it's a missed opportunity they can throw in a non active spen meaning no air action and I'm pretty sure this will move so many away from apple since their a series are sold the most and if they integrate it into their top a series people will see that it's more than a simple note taking machine or an art machine and people who make fun of stylus unless in a smartphone will realize that the spen can be used for so many other things and isn't just boring like apple pencil on the iPad.
And slim down the bezels a bit more like they don't have to make it as slim as s23 but maybe make it as slim as something like an s21 fe

Very bad pricing. In my country it is more expensive than s20fe and not much cheaper than s21fe. Both are much better options.

Overall a54 is budget King in camera..
I have the a54 but I wish it records videos in 4K at 60fps but only records 60fps in 1080p the rest of of other resolutions are at 30fps

Yeah but the A54 has OIS with Full HD
OIS = Optical Image Stabilization. That’s a hardware feature and works at all resolutions. 1080p30 gets EIS (electronic image stabilization).
Even if it does have ois its not super steady then s23. As I tested cheap socks
well, a52s will never be beaten, that phone was a beast from the a series

Samsung a5x had no eis 🙁 , only on 1080p you can find it which is bad honestly , the only phone from a5x that came with 4k eis was the a52s

Why is the A54 shaking so much even though it has OIS?
OIS barely compensates your hands’s shakiness when taking a picture. As soon as you start moving it’s game over. It needs EIS and OIS for best results

The comparison is unfair one if from media range vs high range phones, but A54 it's a really good option due to is a lot cheaper and A54 camera it's good according what are you paying for.

It was handheld. At the time of this video I didn't have a phone gimbal..now after i sold the a54 I got 3 gimbals...

Unfair Test because: On A54, Stabilization is only available up to 1080p 30fps. Therefore, there was absolutely no stabilization present on your A54 test. Retest @ 1080 30fps 🤓

Not a decent comparison, since you are testing stabilization (OIS+EIS) not resolution. A54's EIS kicks in at 1080p.

A54 camera isn't as good, it's not very noticeable in daylight but soon as you hit low light or a scene with a large colour saturation (blue fish tank lights or music venue) and the colours are completely blown out. Fish tank showed all blue and slight green, sensor couldn't capture red colour channels at all. Missed out on loads of detail and looked horrific. My old galaxy s8 did a better job when using both phones in pro mode with same iso, white balance, shutter speed etc.
