thanks for posting. I think this is awesome and the sound quality through my DAC is great. I'm a little freaked out though because if I purchase, this would be the first album I've ever purchased that isn't offered in the physical realm. I looked for a CD or Vinyl and was like; WHERE IS IT !!! WHERE IS IT!!! sob......at least I know the download has great sound quality
This reminds me of some early Modest Mouse, ya know? Its good enough to think I could relate, I'm on the same level and perhaps I, too, could transcend, but this "unrefined" work is so beautiful that my clumsy hands long to imitate. Loved, man, goddamned, like quick sand.
How about these days? They say that misery Is the greatest inspiration They say that being happy Just makes you dumb They say you're boring when When you've got a girlfriend I think they just don't know How good it feels to be in love
thanks to Buck Meek (of Big Thief), when I downloaded his album from Bandcamp, he suggested the Sex God- The Secret Album (Aaron Maine). It has the same raw up close feel of this album that I love!!!!
that u pick up, when u waaaaant 2, put it down when u feeel tired. but foooold the page when I kneeeew u, and u knew me (yeah u knew me) it's a good ooooooone! ❤
Te jaime, Sex god, harmonica, porcupine, sad album, summer of ten , Ronald Paris , and slow dance all encompass this sound IMO. The townie blunt guts track is also an honorable mention
Definitely like Pool better than this. Acoustically this isn't bad but it doesn't set itself apart from convention. Pool just doesn't sound like anything else out there
I agree, but listening to his more stripped down songs and acoustic performances, you can really tell he's a great songwriter. That's why I love both sides.
Pool doesnt do it for me, its like glitter compared to this album & Slow Dance In The Cosmos. I cant even listen to Pool in one sitting, i get bored & put on something else. I respect the artist doing what he wants, pursuing new passions, but musically-its just not for me.

Tommy Thorp it really is I’m glad someone mentioned that album!

I agree on all levels. This is just so good. It's definitely a different sound and not one that I can connect with like this one.
