I was on a ringing tour of Suffolk and Essex in 2004, and we went to see these one Thursday for their practice night. None of my group rang, due to various rules they now have in place. They also only had 4 experienced ringers turn up, so we never heard all 5 together. But several of their learners turned up and they had times when they just rang 2 or 3 bells to get them used to swing in time.
I'd be very surprised if these bells haven't taken any lives what so ever. I would rather spectate and wear a hard hat with ear defenders if I was anywhere near there.
The Italians change often ring bells like this. Imagine ringing 5040 of Stedman on these, you would deserve a pint of 5 How the hell do you hear the conductor make a call?????

H +S have been here, after an accident a few years ago. And yet it carries on.

I’m going to ring these once
nice bells but i wouldn't what to ring them that way epeshaly getting bonked on the head by 1
Very interesting!
***** Yes. They count how many times the bells have rung after each change eg: they count 12 then they change
They dont count they use hand signals
No wheels ropes, sliders or stays bell ringing on a budget.
Definitely 😂
@simonbellringer The headstocks are wider than the bells themselves.
@patrick deakin its probs bc the head stock has to be the intire lenth so it can be connected to both sides and the bell llol
Imagine ringing a peal on these o_o
Ringing Adam
They do
@@ringerowen4039 well seeing that they only ring a few call changes I doubt they do

You don't!
The conductor gestures.
Apparently these are f***ing loud!
Anyone know how they stay upright without stays?
Pendulum stays
They have pendalam type stays that engage with the headstock
